Oh man! Reviews didn't lie. We went out of our way to try the bagels. Bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel was amazing!

The bagels are delicious, the cream cheese flavors are wild, and the breakfast sandwiches are phenomenal! The staff are the best. The couple that started Marathon Bagel Co have an awesome story and greeted us so kindly each day. My wife and I would drive 20 minutes for breakfast here during our honeymoon and on the last day they comped us for almost $30 of food and insisted we take some teas and drinks for the road. I can't wait to visit Marathon and Marathon Bagel Co again soon! read more

Every time we're in the keys we stop at marathon bagel - really good bagels and great cream cheese choices. During covid they're doing everything right too, mask policy enforced, dots on the floor to stand on, and limiting the amount of guests allowed in. Holy amazing-ness! My new husband and I were driving back from Key West from our honeymoon and I found this place on yelp so we stopped for a quick breakfast. Once we came in and ordered, we were excited to try our bagels because the staff was so friendly. The woman at the counter was super friendly, a Red Sox fan and Portuguese. I, as an Italian/Portuguese woman & Red Sox fan, knew I was in good hands. We get back into our car and start eating our bagels and both exclaimed at the same time "wow!". I was able to order and pay through the yelp app. This is always a plus for me, especially when traveling, and especially when I'm just super burnt out with having to talk to people. Introverts probably invented online ordering, and I appreciate Marathon Bagel allowing it. I ordered the egg whites plus tomato and cheese on a toasted bagel. This was a fantastic idea, and it was 100% delicious. I was looking for something that would fill me up but not make me feel sick prior to kayaking, and this totally did the trick. I also have to say I did add things and change the default bread in the app, and the sandwich was executed exactly as requested. My partner ordered a bagel with ham, peppers, and egg and absolutely loved it. He devoured it before we even left the parking lot. The order was a little delayed from the estimate time on the app, but I saw people just pouring out with bags in their hands so it's completely understandable. We weren't in a huge hurry so a few extra minutes was no big deal. Honestly I'm already considering placing another order tomorrow morning for the same combination! I also heard (I didn't go inside to pick the order up) that someone came in and asked for a peanut butter banana bagel and even though the restaurant doesn't have bananas on their menu they sent someone out to grab a banana. I went in with a couple friends while visiting the keys, and while there I asked the owner if they had egg everything bagels. She unfortunately said no because they didn't sell to well, but she did however tell me that she would make some for the next day! I went back the next morning as they opened and long behold, egg bagels and they were absolutely delicious! The woman I spoke to the day before wasn't there but her husband was and he knew me by name and this little story before I got to even tell him.
