Lobster & shrimp rolls
Martha V.

Oh my!! The food was delicious. My hubby and I bought the mango crab cakes and shrimp & lobster egg rolls. I did NOT want to share the Shrimp & Lobster egg rolls - they are a wonder! We ordered to go and wish we had more time to stay and eat! Gift shop had adorable items! What a happy stop!

This was our second time dining at Island Fish for dinner and we had a great meal! We arrived on the earlier side (4:45) with two toddlers and were able to be seated right away- by the water! There are kids menus with crayons which is always a plus. My husband had a key lime coloda beverage which was very refreshing. I have never had an oyster and have been wanting to try one and had one for a starter! Not knowing what to expect- it was fine? But I don't know what the hype is about. For entrees my husband had the lobster roll which he reported to be very good and I had the blackened mahi on a caesar. The mahi was very good but the salad had a little too much dressing for me- I hate a soggy lettuce leaf. My son had the popcorn shrimp kids meal & loved it! It's a great place for dinner that has a nice coastal atmosphere but isn't too fussy. Would love to go back on another visit to Marathon!

Service was fast and attentive but food disappointing. Gulf oysters were fine. Grilled grouper had zero flavor and the salad that came with it had gross wilted pieces. The ahi salad was generous but the fish also was tasteless and I wish I had asked them to leave the blue cheese off - weird, yuck. They have a gf "guide" to their menu if you ask for it but it just involves omitting things, so nothing to be excited about. The outdoor seating of the location for enjoying a sunset is nice. The waitress Tara seemed unable to deal with our feedback, other than offer a substitute salad, and just laughed nervously when we said she might want to tell the manager the meal lacked flavor. She sent her trainee Shay solo to us to deal with the final payment.

This place was incredible! The view was amazing and we got to sit on the docks. The fish were out in schools and we saw a manatee! The food was delicious! We had the shrimp tacos, captains dinner, clam linguine, and the grilled mahi. Everything was fresh and pretty quick. The service was good. They were a little busy, so seating was a bit delayed but overall a great experience! 10/10

While out and about exploring the Keys, we stayed at a local resort on Marathon. We asked our barkeep for recommendations, and he suggested Island Fish Company. My wife and I are celebrating our 30th Anniversary, and we absolutely love exploring places and trying local cuisines. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks. First and foremost, it's hard to beat the Clam Chowders where I'm from, and I always have to sample others for validation. Admittedly, it's pretty damn tasty and I'd easily shell out some clams for this hearty cup of Chowda! After that, I went for the classic Surf n Turf with steak and Lobsta! Absolutely perfect. The steak was prepared how I requested it, and that buttery scrumptious chunk of crustacean tenderness hit the spot! We had excellent service, the place was hopping busy, and our views around the restaurant were breathtaking. Thank you for an outstanding visit and definitely recommend Island Fish! As always, Enjoy & Happy Eating!

Mango Tango

Went to Island Fish Co. for dinner and everything about this place was so good. We only waited about 15 minutes and got seated with such a nice view by the water. For the appetizer, we got the kaboom shrimp. I enjoyed it, it was very saucy and flavorful, came on a bed of chopped cabbage. I give it a 7.6/10. My only wish is that it was on white rice. I got the surf & turf for my entree. The filet mignon was insanely tender, literally melted in my mouth. The lobster was just as good. It came with whole potatoes and a side of green beans, cauliflower, and broccoli. I wish the potatoes were roasted and crispy instead of just boiled. 9.5/10. I also ordered the Mango Tango cocktail and it was a 10/10. If you hate the taste of alcohol like me, you'd love it because it genuinely tastes like juice but don't worry, you can still taste the alcohol. It snuck up. Regardless it was so refreshing. Speaking of refreshing, Shelly our server made the whole experience even better. She was so attentive and consistent the entire night. I've honestly never had a server be so on time with everything without us even having to ask. The drinks, food, and check-ins, everything flowed perfectly and made dinner feel so smooth and enjoyable. Huge compliments to the chefs because every single thing we ordered was amazing. Food came out fast, our order was perfect, and there wasn't a single issue the entire time. Such a good spot in the Keys and definitely somewhere I'd come back to.

Before hitting the beach we needed a spot for breakfast. Low and behold we spot this packed place. Located on the water. Pull up by land, sea, or helicopter as we saw. Views are all of the ocean marina. Nice breeze coming in and the place is huge so choose your spot, the views will still be there. We looked at the menu and with so many options we decided to go a la carte and make our own. Bestie had eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. I had black coffee with jalapeno corned beef hash, poached eggs and dry rye toast. Everything was cooked perfectly, bacon and hash browns were crispy, eggs poppable, coffee hot- no complaints. Also good to know they bake their bread in house so try the toast or French toast or a tasty sandwich or burger. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Enjoy your meal and take on the day!

My wife and I stopped here for lunch after arriving in yhe Keys. We were seated immediately and our waitress (Emmalee) came right over to take our drink orders and answer questions. I had questions about the oysters since i had never tried them and she explained how to eat them and how to order. The oysters were very good and the sauce was also. For an entrée I had the fish tacos and they were big and really good with the cod fish. I also had the keylime pie, it was very dense and not very good. Overall we had a great experience and meal. Definitely will eat there again.

We had both breakfast and dinner here and both were good. The breakfast is the clear winner in that area. And the seating over the water makes it even better. The service can be a little slow, but everyone was friendly. The seafood eggrolls were a guilty pleasure win for all of us.

Deep fried key lime pie

The service was okay. Our server wasn't rude, but he also didn't seem very friendly or welcoming until he dropped off the check. It felt like the bare minimum rather than warm or attentive service. The outdoor seating by the water was the highlight of the visit. It was relaxing and made for a nice atmosphere. This definitely seems like more of a place to grab a drink and hang out than a spot for a great meal. The bathrooms are also very nice and spacious. For food, we started with the key lime baked oysters. They had potential but were smothered with too much cheese, which really overpowered the dish. I ordered the seafood lovers pasta and unfortunately it was a huge miss. It was honestly the worst pasta I've ever had. The noodles tasted bland and greasy, almost like they were coated in movie theater butter. I couldn't eat more than one bite and instantly regretted ordering it. My husband took over my dish, he didn't like it either but said it was edible. He ordered the coconut fried lobster sandwich, which was the best thing we tried. It was flaky, flavorful, and cooked well. For dessert, we shared the deep fried key lime pie. It was tasty, though I discovered I prefer the traditional version, but it was still fun to try something different. Overall, the setting was nice, but the food was very hit or miss and the service didn't stand out. I wouldn't plan to stop here for a meal next time I'm in the area but maybe would try again for some drinks at the bar.

This was a fun place to stop on our way south to Key West. We were on a hunt for lobster rolls since it was the start of mini lobster season. We had a warm lobster roll with butter in mind vs cold with mayo. i looked up this location before we arrived and was happy to find they were serving our dish. The parking was very easy in a large lot but seemed to be filling up fast. The atmosphere was "Keys inviting"with a large tiki hut covering the indoors, awnings and boats in the marina. It was a hot day with fans blowing cooler air above our table so it was pleasant enough. I noticed the gift shop, the very long bar and a good crowd of small and large families enjoying the last weeks of summer vacation. Our server brought drinks right away and the food came out fairly quickly. The lobster and drawn butter were seasoned which took away from the pure lobster and butter event..but it was very enjoyable and we had our fix. Price was MP and turned out to be higher than the average lobster roll at $36 each but as i said we were hungry, on vacation and committed to our mission. I noticed other reviewers were mentioning the higher price as well. I did not take the time to look over the menu so i am not sure of the prices in general. I would probably stop here again on a trip to the Keys and try another dish. After completing our mission we continued south to enjoy the rest of our day in Key West.

Such a fun location while visiting the keys! Lots on the menu, and great drink options as well! Loved the vibe as the restaurant is open air to the outside, with a dock within view. We enjoyed watching the sharks and pelicans circle the boats as they cleaned their fish. Our waiter was fantastic and gave us lots of good recommendations. I highly recommend this place when visiting the keys, and I'm looking forward to eating here again when we are in the area.

Yes there are app specials in the happy hour in addition to drink specials

Yes

Delivery to jolly Rodger rv park?

Where we were staying, we met these lovely ladies out at the pool, and we got to talking quite a bit. They had mentioned this place and a deep fried key lime... so... it definitely piqued our interest and off we went. When we first arrived, I wasn't sure if we were going to the right place. It felt like it was off the beaten path, but we did eventually find our way to the parking lot. We walked upstairs to the terrace and took a look around at the view. It was just before sunset, and we watched a boat or two swing by and tie up on the dock below for some chow. That's pretty cool. The menu style is somewhat American traditional, where you would find a variety of burgers, fries, sandwiches, and some dinner plates. They served several types of meats from beef, chicken, fish, shrimp, you name it. We decided to go pub style and ordered the Fresh Cut Fries plate, with a Chicken Burger. We also ordered a Patty Melt Sandwich. The chicken burger had the perfect crunch, and it just hit right. The patty melt smothered in onion and sauce made it very tender and juicy. My wife and I split each other's meals to taste it all. As we enjoyed a couple of drinks, we were able to take advantage of the sunset and walked the dock for some pictures, although, I was staring at a beautiful view across from me all evening. We finished off the meal with one of their famous Deep fried Key Lime Pie... and I swear... that might have been the 2nd or 3rd most beautiful thing I've seen that evening. If you never had a KLP deep fried... oh my Goodness you are in for a treat!! We decided to split one, and it's every bit as good as you would think it to be!! Thank you for that experience, and for the whole evening. We are leaving FL with amazing memories! Absolutely recommend you try this place and for us, an easy return should we ever find ourselves back on the Keys again. As always, Enjoy & Happy Eating!

The service was quite slow when we got there, it took a bit to get seated even though we were the only ones waiting with numerous open tables. The high chair was broken but we made it work for our little one. Our server was efficient and friendly, even though it took a bit for her to get to us. We wanted to get dessert but there were so many flies it made us want to leave. To no fault of their own, it's unfortunate, and to be expected at an outdoor spot, but it was an overwhelming amount and we just didn't want to deal with it any longer. After we were seated by the hostess, we sat at our table for 20 minutes without being acknowledged. I know the time because I had a text from the time our table was ready and we were seated. I had to go back to the hostess and ask if we had a server because no one had spoken to us despite serving several tables next to us. We had ordered drinks from the bar during our 45 minute wait for a table and the server never once asked if we wanted any other drinks or water. My husband ended up going back to the bar twice more to order more drinks for us over the course of the meal. The food itself was mediocre, and for the price I would expect more scallops in the scallop dish. My daughter said her hamburger was inedible as it was an unseasoned, pre-made patty. We all agreed after tasting it. We left it uneaten, but the server never even ask how our food was after taking our order. We had to flag her down to finally get our check. It ended up being over a 3 hour meal with wait time. Ordering drinks from the bar for poolside or the beach was another torturous wait every single time. It would take no less than 20 minutes each time. On our second to last day, from where I was on the beach, I hear the bartender screaming "GET OFF THE ROCKS! THOSE NO TRESSPASSING SIGNS MEAN SOMETHING!!" I realize he's screaming at my 12 year old daughter who had no idea she couldn't climb on the jetty. She's been able to do so at every other place we went, and there are CLEARLY no "no trespassing" signs that face the beach. There are very old ones that face the interior of the restaurant, but none facing the beach where my daughter came from. She was extremely embarrassed, and my husband (who was once again waiting for our drinks at the bar) said that the bartender scared everyone in the restaurant when he screamed at her. After this I went to help him bring our drinks back to our seats, and as we walked away the bartender said "Where do you think you're going?" To which my husband responded, "What do you mean? To the beach with our drinks." And the bartender said "Well you have to pay that you know." So my husband turns back around to put down a card and lets him know that he thought he had already put down a card when he ordered nearly a half hour before. He obviously wasn't trying to "steal" drinks, and we were once again embarrassed by this extremely rude bartender, who then informed us when we was going off shift and that we had to close our check with him before that time. After that we spent no more money at this establishment. I do NOT recommend this restaurant for meals or drinks, and it frankly casts a negative pall over our entire stay despite the fact that the hotel was nice.
