Can't tell you how the bagels are because I never got to eat one. I was sent by our group to get a dozen bagels. After waiting in line for over 25 minutes I was told I could only buy "a couple." Meanwhile the group of 5 was able to buy a couple for each person in their group. So please NOTE: MUST BE PRESENT TO BUY BAGELS! Wish their website had said this or on a sign outside. What a great breakfast spot! When you're on vacation and you want a quick breakfast, the bagel sandwich is the way to go! Their menu was impressive, the staff was friendly, and it was fairly priced and cooked to order. I had egg and bacon on an everything bagel. I LOVE THIS PLACE. First and foremost the owners are great and it's refreshing to see an up to date social media page. This is my second year going to the Bagel company during my family trip for the dreaded/"Karen" filled mini season. ( Can't toast a bagel and the world ends lol!) It did not disappoint. Their hand made cream cheese blow the competition away. Good luck finding anything remotely close until maybe Boca Raton. Their dough is great- try the garlic/onion/ or Asiago and you won't go wrong. Now for the breakfast sandwiches- get one. If you want something that will hold you on a fishing day, there is no other option- don't even try telling me that racetrack egg and cheese or McDonald's compares- do yourself a favor and grab one- you can thank me later- brisket and egg sandwich for me. Imagine his surprise when we rolled up and they had pork roll bagels. First time we came there was a line out the door.. 10/10:30! IMO that's a good sign that it is good and it was! We went today and went 8/8:15 and the line was inside and much better if you're in a rush! To all the negative people on here about customer service being awful.... There is a difference between mean or rude and just being down right busy!!! I've been in the restaurant business for 40 years and it can be a tough one... NO ONE is being mean we are just busy trying to make your order as quick as possible to try and please you the customer be cause that is what your there for.. THE FOOD! Will absolutely be returning. Edit after response: I wasn't thrown out of this restaurant so not sure what the response is about? But still my opinion stands. Honestly, you couldn't pay me to recommend this place. To put it briefly, The staff is extremely rude, the building is small and not well kept, and the bagels fell far below my expectations. The lady taking orders seemed extremely bothered that I had questions about the menu and kept walking off as I tried to ask things. There are very rude signs regarding tipping around the establishment. Here's a tip: be nice to your paying customers. The lady at the counter also kept screaming at everyone to shut the door, but the line exceeded the restaurant. The people who were there were all crammed inside and forced to crowd the few tables of indoor seating they provided. My other issue with this place is that the wait took FOREVER. I was waiting nearly 30-40 minutes for a bagel. These are the type of waits I expect from a sit down restaurant, not a "quick service" place like this. Not to mention a bagel sandwich shouldn't take that long to make. My real issue wasn't with the wait, it was with the fact that many people who ordered after us were getting their food first. I'm not sure what the hold up on my order was, but if you can't make an item in a timely manor then it shouldn't be on your menu. The food here is also nothing spectacular. I've never been one to turn down a bagel, but the sandwich I received was nearly inedible. Chewiest bagel I've ever had. If you're looking for a tough, flavorless bagel sandwich, this is the place to go. I would love to see the place cleaned up a little as well. Not that it was necessarily filthy, just could be better managed. Over all the place is just very disorganized and they're clearing struggling to manage this business. We visited around 10 am on 4/21 (Sunday) and it was busy but the line and food went quickly! Bagel sandwiches were great, the bowl was okay. The cashier and everyone was doing a great job- the only complaint I have is that there was one woman who seemed to either own the establishment or be in a managerial role who was rude to her fellow employee. As first timers, we were asking some questions and this woman kept butting in and interrupting her cashier in a rude manner. I'm not sure if the cashier was new (which is fine), but she was trying to settle herself with all the chaos and this woman didn't really give her a chance to work through the questions with us to the point where she got so flustered my mom ended up just saying never mind. Props to everyone there for handling the rush well, however- as someone who has worked in a managerial role before, you should allow your employees to do their job and if they have questions to listen and then answer with a patient tone. As a customer, it's disappointing that this cashier, who was already struggling with losing her voice and communicating with customers also had to deal with micromanagement and attitude. read more

Very delicious! Bagels are packed with toppings and veggies. I had the Portegese burrito in a jalopeno cheddar bagel toasted. Belly buster is delicious too. Their iced coffee was delicious and creamy but was dairy free which I love. We were ordered to stop at Marathon Bagel on our way home. This is the reason we drove all the way from Jacksonville, food. We had multiple stops we needed to make and Marathon Bagel was first on the list. There was quite of bit of a line so we knew we would be getting something good. We were bummed the selection of bagels were limited, but this is what you get when you arrive at a place 45 minutes before they close. Nevertheless, we ordered the pork belly and egg breakfast sandwich with pepper jack cheese. I was starving and the sandwich smelled so good. I have never had an experience like this. The contrast of soft and crunchiness of the bagel took my breath away. Then I got a bite of the pork belly (that was perfectly cooked) with the egg and cheese. If I had been driving there surely would have been a wreck. I was told I would fall in love and I did. The only reason Marathon Bagel received 4 stars --- we had a bit of a wait (15 minutes for a sandwich), otherwise it would have been a 5 star experience. Problem with resorts is that restaurants don't think they need to work for your business and get entitlement mentality. This is one of those. Bagels? meh. Breakfast sandwich was supposed to have chorizo and egg. Had about six, 1/4 in cubes of something that may pass for chorizo in sweden or someplace. Hardly interesting. And you get to pay resort prices at a register where they make it clear that their 'family' expect you to 'tip correctly'. Glad i escaped before the 'family' determined mine was not 'correct'. An ok bagel place. Was excited to go because on some website I saw that there were quite a few vegan options..... but sadly no. There weren't any vegan options at all. Not even vegan cream cheese. I ended up getting a toasted bagel with mashed avocado that they made special for me ( I added a star for that). We live on Long Island and work in Manhattan so are used to big chewy NY bagels. These bagels were nothing like that. My everything bagel hardly had anything on it and was surprisingly tasteless. Not sure how that even happens. Found this place on Yelp. A little hard to find as it's behind a building on the main road. Fun deco on the windows but it's when you walk in that the magic happens. Every bagel you can think of and a matching cream cheese spread. You could eat here for two months and still not try everything on the menu. The staff is helpful and funny. The food is a mouthful - like put a jack in your mouth to get it to open bigger. The iced coffee is a dream and I don't want to know how much sugar it had. The food is an amazing value. I cannot recommend this place enough. They wanted to keep me as I was "too cute" looking at the menu board with my mouth agape in awe of the selection and stumbling with my words as I tried to pick the perfect breakfast. read more

I was in Marathon for a weekend away and on the way back home, we were hungry and I found Marathon Bagel on Yelp. Everything on the menu sounded amazing. The shop itself smelled like freshly baked bread. I ordered the special of the day, which was huevos rancheros on a tostada. It's basically breakfast tacos. They were so so good! I inhaled my food. My boyfriend ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a garlic bagel. Also delicious! So garliciky which is great in every way. The only regret I have is that I didn't order one of the delicious looking baked goods they had on display. I can't wait to come back the next time I headed to Key West. We spent a week in Marathon the last two years. Lots of fun and sun. Happy to share that our favorite breakfast spot is now Marathon Bagel! Breakfast sandwiches are a great meal. We didn't try the breakfast plates. The bagels are heavily topped with seasoning, like Everything topping. +10 varieties of Cream cheese, but I wish they would add a whipped picante salsa. Bacon and bologna both great. Even the muffins were pretty good. Coffee and iced to strong and fresh. Highly recommend it... don't worry if the line is out the door, it moves real fast. read more

Edited in response: Theres a disconnect with the register staff then. I was specifically asked about pepperjack cheese and if I wanted pasta salad, chips or potato salad. To be honest the treatment from the staff when I asked about the iced coffee and such was more of a let down than not receiving what I thought was coming. First time here and wasn't impressed. I ordered an avocado burrito without mushrooms and my kids got bagels with cream cheese. The bagels were good but my burrito came without cheese and without the potato salad it came with. My iced coffee never made it out either and when I went in to ask about it all they shrugged their shoulders and kept going about their business. I stood there for a minute or two and finally asked if there was someone else I needed to speak to since I never got my coffee. Figured I'd call the missing cheese and side a loss at that point. Very dismissive staff ( besides the woman who took our order) and not worth the long line. I'd probably only come back for bagels with cream cheese. read more

BEST BAGELS I've ever had. We went three time while in marathon for vacation. It will be our go to from now on when we're in town.

There was a simple mix up with orders that had similar names and one of the workers escalated the situation by pointing at me and complaining with their peers. The correct name was called but the bagel in the bag was wrong. One of the workers pointed at me saying I'm the one that took the order and caused the misunderstanding. Comments like "this is ridiculous how people don't know their own name" and the cashier as well as other workers literally complained about it to other customers while we were literally standing right there waiting for other orders. We were not even upset about the mix up we just brought it up to get it fixed. I'm not upset about the mixed up order, but I am upset about how the mishap was handled. It was unprofessional, and frankly my friends and I felt very uncomfortable because we were singled out in front of a crowd of other customers during our very FIRST visit. Honestly, it felt like racial profiling because the pure excitement to point fingers and blame the customer was something I've never experienced before in my life. I'm sure this breakfast place will go on just fine without further visits from me or my friends but to the readers that come across this review please don't waste your time here. We have been here a hand full of times and unfortunately the service is a 2/10. Every time we leave we have a sour taste in our mouths but we wanted to give them another chance. This was the last chance. Unnecessarily comments were said when one of my family members asked for a to go box and the woman responded by aggressively placing a styrofoam container on the counter and said "we are trying to save the turtles". But this store only offers plastic straws and plastic ware which makes no sense. My family member also made a comment that he didn't want to go inside to ask for a napkin because of how uncomfortable and hostile the environment is. After reading the business owners response it's even more upsetting. I understand that things can be hectic when working in the food industry but I am not mistaken. I know the difference between utterly rude and a quick response. Additionally, at the time of our visit to the restaurant and when we asked for a to go box my family member waited patiently to not bombard those working in the front. Furthermore, the restaurant was not full of people. Also even if the restaurant was at full capacity that is no reason to be rude to paying customers. It sort of defeated a "quick" stop for us. Although I was a little upset they didn't mention it to me while I was standing around wondering why everyone before and after me was getting their food.... When we finally got the food it was very good and I was surprised that they made such a good bagel.
