And the cheeses were blended just right (the owner told us it's ricotta, mozzarella, some feta). The dough was crisp on the outside but textured just right with a soft pull apart. Absolutely loved it (if you can't tell). Friendly, welcoming service as well. We were lucky to chat with the owner and he told us that he has been in business 21 years. Amazing!

"What's a little extra crust with the hand tossed?" you ask. "No big deal on the mixup, really," you might say. But IT IS! When you literally order the same thing more than twice a month and they screw it up a third of the time, that is a problem. It isn't complicated. READ the order printout. The reason I keep going back to Zio Al's is that the pizza really is FANTASTIC when they can be bothered to get your order right. The order slip is perfectly legible. NY style.
