I wasn't initially a fan of Marco's Pizza when my parents recommended it 2 years ago, but recently, I've realized that it's much better than major pizza chains like Domino's, Pizza Hut, and Papa John's (Why have you fallen?!). Ordered an XL Supreme pizza with extra cheese + 3 cups of garlic sauce for takeout via Marco's website for $17.22, and it says order would be ready in 25-30 min., which was fine since it will take me around that to get there to pick it up anyway. Website looks professional with clear photos and coupon deals that will automatically discount when you order online. I got notified when my order was ready via email, and overall, online transaction went smoothly except... I had no issues with parking but the spaces were pretty limited. When I got inside, I told the young employee dude my order number, and he handed the box of XL Supreme pizza right away. I asked for packets of parmesan cheese and crushed red peppers (something that Domino's now charges), and employee asked if I wanted a lot, and I said, "Yes, please." So he gave a lot of both, but I noticed that something was missing: garlic sauce. I'm pretty sure I ordered 3x cups of garlic sauce but I almost left Marco's without. I told them I ordered them online, and the friendly employee said that it only comes with 1 free, so he asked another employee, and whom I assumed was the manager to check the system, and somehow, it wasn't in the system, but they gave the 3x cups of garlic sauce anyway. The employee apologized for the technical mishap. Ambiance was typical: Like many pizza chains, Marco's doesn't really have any seats inside, so I drove back home with the pizza. The XL Supreme pizza with garlic crust was truly supreme: with good amount of sausage, pepperoni, and everything else. Highly recommend the garlic sauce with the parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper to spice up your pizza. The XL pizza was sliced in 12 slices. Come to think of it, this was the best Supreme pizza I've ever tried, and will likely order again. I've also tried their Hawaiian Chicken, Philly Cheesesteak, and Pepperoni Magnifico before, but I think Supreme tops my rankings here. The receipt encouraged me to take a survey so I could get free cheesy bread next time I order, but the QR code that's supposed to be in front of the receipt is missing, so I couldn't take the survey. We just had the Margherita with added bacon and it was beautifully balanced - enough but not too much topping, with a marked basil flavor to complement the tomatoes. We always do takeout from this Marco's location because it's very close. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because the online ordering was very difficult from my phone. read more

DoorDash allowed me to place an order, and I had two different drivers try to pick up my order, but it wasn't ready yet. Another disappointing order from this location. I've been a customer for several years, order regularly, and occasionally have had a problem with an order. Suddenly the last 3 orders, including the one tonight, have been messed up. Three salads ordered and they arrive with DOUBLE ingredients on them not ordered (red onions, green peppers, tomatoes), and the wrong cheese ... third time now this has happened. Unsure if their online ordering app is messed up, or the staff can't read or doesn't care. They also had a couple of delivery drivers that were very good. Suddenly all the deliveries are now being handled by Door Dash. Last order one of the pizza boxes was smashed and the pizza stuck to the lid. This order one of three pizzas had slide on top of itself inside the delivery box making it look like a pizza taco wrap. I just paid $35 for an XL pizza and a cheesy bread. It took an hour (standard for a Friday) HOWEVER i had ordered "light sauce" and it came smothered in sauce and COLD, with the consistency like CARDBOARD, i was literally shocked---- cheese sticks looked like they weren't thoroughly cooked. Serioulsy? This is the most that I've paid for the worst delivery food that I've ever ordered and I'm 42 years old. Originally called them to ask for replacement food due to the horrible quality. Then, once I had more time to inspect realized that I wouldn't trust them to send anything that is edible. How do they get off charging so much for this? The first person that I got on the phone said "oh, you were the last person on the drivers stop, that is why it's cold." I was like "Your company thinks this is acceptable?" are you kidding me?" I ended up being pleasantly surprised by this pizza parlour especially with the thin crust option which is not easy to find these days. It really gives me a chance to enjoy the taste of the cheese and toppings without a mouthful of bread every time. The toppings were generous, the red sauce is good with everything though they have different bases and the right amount of cheese without it being heavily grease laden but enough to get a mouthful every time. The price for a medium two topping was reasonable and enough for 2 -3 people. I'd recommend checking it out. They offer delivery through third party apps as well. read more

We normally enjoy a Marcos Pizza but their extremely slow delivery is making us go more and more to other places. We order earlier and earlier and it still arrives later than we want to eat. My folks just moved here and this was the nearest pizza place to us here in Chapel Hill. The pizza was great (very customizable) and the cheesy bread was even better. This is our go-to pizza delivery joint. Always on time, delivered hot, and quality ingredients. They are a little more pricey than dominos or garbage papa john's but it's worth paying a little more because you can taste the dIfference. They have an app that makes it even easier to order and take advantage of specials. If you want delivery pizza then they are your best bet. read more

Ordered delivery from here for the first time. Pizzas were very good - had bbq chicken pizza and pepperoni/bacon. One was thin crust which was really nice and crispy. They were not skimpy on the toppings and they were good - lots of real bacon. They get an A+ for one of my pet peeves- all of the toppings were evenly distributed and needed no rearranging like I usually do. Ordering was easy and delivery prompt. No. Absolutely not. Mediocre pizza at best but on top of that it's terrible customer service. I sort of put up with the low level quality because it's close but after tonight I'm done. We were told they were busy and it would take an hour an a half to be delivered. After 2 hours we called and the person there told us they were closed and the pizza was "gone" but that we could stop by the "restaurant" tomorrow to deal with it. I now have to cook dinner for hungry kids at 9pm. So- middling food served by people with no skill for management. Never again. People- ask and expect more for yourselves. Really hate to say it, but they've just not kept up the quality since they opened. Our first pizza there was great! we've gotten pizza 3 times since then, last night was the last. A new pizza place in Chapel Hill, for a good moderate price pizza this is the place to go. I ordered the build your own, a small thin crust with two types of pepperoni, ham, green-black olives, white and red onions with double cheese. It was quick and hot, and very delicious. Don't waste your money, go down the street and buy local pizza that is authentic and good! Tried Marco's for the 2nd time tonight, and that is the last! Meh, meh, meh! Crust was unflavorful, way too much of it.....they should call it Pizza bread! There was minimal sauce, cheese or toppings, and for $16, that is a ripoff!! I hate to write bad reviews, and this area needed a new good place eat, but this was not the answer. Will not be going back. The VERY worst.........the thin crust pizza was a large factory made wafer with chemical toppings! The crust has tiny holes in it's underside, just like a saltine cracker - clearly not some house made dough. Absolutely atrocious service tonight. Ashely was extremely rude to my wife when she ordered. After waiting and hour and fifteen minutes for the pizza, my wife called back and was told it was on its way. At an hour and forty five minutes I called back and was told it was leaving "right now". At the two hour mark, still no pizza. Was excited to have a Marcos that would deliver to our house since previously Papa Johns was our only option. Tacky Greek salad with cheap packaged dressing, black olives, and strange fake feta. Wings were gummy, mushy, and had no flavor in the buffalo sauce. Pizzas were all terrible.
