The staff was also very friendly and didn't give us any trouble at all when we returned the blackberry pitcher which I really appreciated. The decor was super cute with paintings featuring influential artists and notable figures throughout the restaurant. But the DJ was definitely the highlight of my visit! I didn't stop dancing or singing the entire time. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in Jacksonville and give the drinks another try. My friend loved his food and has been here several times before. I enjoyed the fish but the grits were kinda bland... Sunday Brunch is more of a club vibe, it's loud. It's worth noting that both sandwiches were big enough that we both took half of each home. I didn't get the name of the two people that were working there this evening, but I'd still like to give then a shout out. They were both incredibly patient with the customers ahead of us and they didn't make us feel rushed even though we were there fairly close to the time they close on Friday evenings. Sauce was fine, nothing bad, nothing special. I'd give those a 3 out of 5. The brisket sandwich was interesting. The meat was very fatty and kind of tough to chew through. Not sure if that's just the cut or the prep. I ate about three-quarters of it. It wasn't bad, just didn't hit the way I hoped. Probably still thinking about that muffaleta. Another 3 out of 5. I'd come back, no doubt... but next time I'm sticking with what they're known for. Those cheesesteaks always look great, and that's probably the move. Today was about trying something different, and I'm glad I did... even if it didn't knock my socks off.

Well, let me tell you, I would make a visit back just for these wings. OMG, the Cajun ranch was simply amazing, really addictive. They were my favorite item. We devoured them. The burnt ends were very good. I appreciate they are big chunks of brisket with no pull pork filler. The flavor was amazing as well and the bits of fat melted in our mouth. The corn nuggets were fine and the Mac N Cheese was quite tasty. We enjoyed the meal so much, were were trying to figure out somewhere for a family lunch the next Sunday and came back again. This time my sister, son and I brought my dad. We of course ordered more wings and burnt ends and brisket with lots of Mac N Cheese. The food really is something special. The wings are absolutely wonderful and the burnt ends are a hit. This is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants and will always be on my list of visits to enjoy when I come back to Jax.

I'm not very big on tomatoes but I left them in for this because I've been trying to just trust these great chefs in our area and enjoy the dishes the way they intended them. And again, I'm glad I did. I didn't exactly scarf down the tomatoes but they did add something to the overall flavor, so I'm glad I left them in. Lauren had the Hand Cut Fettuccine. She LOVED it. She said it hit every note on the flavor palette. Take a look at the attached photos and you'll see how much she loved it. She said it was sweet, savory, tangy and everything in between. From the moment we walked in until we left, the staff was friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. We started with the Calabrian chili wings. They were crispy, hot, and packed with flavor. My only criticisms are that a few of the wings could have used a little more of the Calabrian glaze, they were disrespectfully small, they were all flats, and surprisingly, the restaurant doesn't serve blue cheese dressing despite offering several dishes featuring blue cheese. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the dish had an incredible balance of sweet and savory flavors. I've ordered this same dish on all three visits because it's that good. After trying a slice, I can confidently recommend it. On future visits, we'll probably order the pizza as an appetizer to share. I have less than a year of Physical Therapy under my belt due to healing times and it's still difficult for me to carry 3 boxes of pizza and a container of cannoli during rush hour around 30 to 40 yards through traffic in a busy parking lot. I do my best not to bite the curb and so far so good getting to my truck. I do cover up my ailments well so they probably dodn't realize I needed assistance and figured my wife had it on this last visit. All in all, I very highly recommend Bala's Pizza. Even for a 25th wedding anniversary when one can afford a high end restaurant experience. The pleasure their pizza gave us made it the perfect choice. All the way!!!! Sausage over escargo! I went there tonight and order a single pepperoni slice of pizza. It was so cheesy, gooey, hot and crunchy at the same time!! Jet's pizza reminded me of my favorite childhood pizza joint in the Illinois. Simple ridiculously great pizza. Made fresh and served pulling hot with a side of outstanding customer service. I cannot wait to try the rest of the menu items. They have some great looking desserts. Jet's Boat looks yummy. I will return very soon for a Deli Boat! Samson rang my order tonight and he was an absolutely kind, professional and welcoming. The service alone made me decide to patronize this specific location for all future pizza orders. First off let me tell you that I cannot (well, 'should not') have dairy and I don't eat beef or pork. I often skip the pizza because most places don't have vegan cheese and if they do it's generally not very good and not worth dealing with the gluey texture. Mods cheese wasn't the best, however... their crust is absolutely amazing. Bonus points for being able to put whatever I want on it, so "light" cheese it is because it was worth it! The rest of the ingredients were good for the price, with lots of options including a vegan sausage. I must say a great pizza is not just about the ingredients though. There is also a skill to baking it. The woman running the oven was on point. I watched as she shuffled them, spun them and adjusted the oven temp accordingly. Kudos to her & the team! And in case you're wondering if you should try the no name cake, you absolutely should. I knew it had dairy in it, but I wanted to try it. You should too!

We ordered a large pepperoni pizza plus 2 slices of their margarita grandma pizza. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The line was long and consistent but it moved quickly. The pepperoni pizza was very, very greasy. I'm okay with some grease but this was way more than normal to the point my plate had a huge puddle of grease. I had to soak it up with napkins just to keep my plate usable. It also didn't have a whole lot of flavor which I was surprised by. I really liked the grandma slice and wished we ordered a whole pizza instead of just a couple slices. Not sure we would give them another try despite enjoying the grandma slices.
