My neighbors ordered pizza last week and offered me a slice. The first bite had my tastebuds rocking! I asked the where they'd gotten the pizza from and they said Jet's pizza. I went there tonight and order a single pepperoni slice of pizza. It was so cheesy, gooey, hot and crunchy at the same time!! Jet's pizza reminded me of my favorite childhood pizza joint in the Illinois. Simple ridiculously great pizza. Made fresh and served pulling hot with a side of outstanding customer service. I cannot wait to try the rest of the menu items. They have some great looking desserts. Jet's Boat looks yummy. I will return very soon for a Deli Boat! Samson rang my order tonight and he was an absolutely kind, professional and welcoming. The service alone made me decide to patronize this specific location for all future pizza orders. I heard that Jets had some great Detroit style pizza so I made a trip across town to the closest location. This location is takeout only, so not too much going on in the inside. We had an enjoyable interaction with the staff. They were not very busy, so our order had their full attention. Twenty minutes later, we had our order and headed home. Flavor profiles were mixed. The Detroit-style crust on the Jet 10 wasn't enjoyable, but the butter crust was better. I'm still looking for the flavor train to show up. read more

She was one of the O.G.'s that littered her Yelp wall with Jet's pizza pictures which often had my palate curious of how good Jet's Pizza because she was always eating there and posting pictures. Now fast forward to 1.5 years later, Jet's Pizza sets camp and gives Jacksonville 2 locations. The Mandarin location happens to be one of the newest ones and closet ones to me. I just had to try them after being virtually pizza teasemented (is that a word??). From what I know, Jet's is known for their buttery Detroit-Style square pizzas. Jet's pizza is my husband's favorite pizza! He was so excited that they finally opened a location near our home. We ordered online and service was fast as it was already ready when we picked them up. Place is small and is only for takeout. We ordered 2 boxes of 4 corner pizza. Ones has pepperoni and the other has bacon toppings. I immediately took a bite once we got inside our car. Oh wow! For a thick pizza, it was so crispy! And the combination of cheese and bacon is always on point! I finished one corner aka slice before we even arrived to our house lol! And yes I has another one! I could've eaten more but it has 500 calories per slice, so I stopped myself! :) 2nd time we visited we got the 8 corner pizza with anchovies and mushrooms for toppings! Yum!! A friend told me they just opened this pizza shop right next to my Publix! He said the pizza was so good and crispy, so of course I had to check it out, and it was indeed yummy and crispy! The employee told me to do the 8 side pizza cause you get maximum corner crunchy pieces and it was a great choice! Detroit style pizza is like deep dish pizza and you get all the crunchy baked cheese along the sides. We did half cheese half Aloha BBQ I liked the cheese better, the BBQ Aloha was intense! Lol it was a little too sweet/ spicy for me, the BBQ sauce was sweet along with the pineapple sweetness just had me longing for more savory, but by no means was it bad. The pizza isn't really amazing, but it's good. We tried the Detroit and the "New York," which isn't quite New York style, but close. Perhaps the hand-tossed is more like a real New York pizza. Both our pizzas could have used a bit more cheese. And my pizza had canned mushrooms on it, which was disappointing. I'd eat here again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do it. read more

Pizza was amazing as always, but disappointing delivery experience The pizza was delicious, as it always is -- no complaints there! However, I did have an issue with the delivery. I ordered three pizzas for a total of $64. I paid by card and added a $2 tip, assuming the $5 delivery charge went to the driver. I was corrected quickly by the driver the store gets that not them. But seemed proud that he took one for the team and delivered it anyway. When the driver arrived, he just stood there staring at me as if I was supposed to hand him more cash. He then told me his co-workers were laughing at him because it was only a $2 tip on a $64 order. I never shy away from tipping well, but to be called out like that at my door was rude and uncomfortable. I love the pizza and will likely order again, but I really hope the delivery experience can be handled more professionally in the future. read more

How big is Jet's pizza? A small Detroit style pizza is 7 inch x 9 inch pan pizza cut into 4 rectangular slices, and would feed two average appetites comfortably. All have the desirable corner crust. Oddly, this info is very difficult to find online, until now. There are a billion places to learn that a small is 4 slices, but what good does that do you? First, I have to admit that I love pizza in general. But I am a picky eater, and I can make a mile long list of food and ingredients that I just can't deal with it. Jet Pizza is a different style of pizza for this area, the Detroit-style! We (with my husband) went to "Jet Pizza" for the first time and ordered wings and a veggies pizza, a pick-up order. We got home, and we were "Pleasantly surprised"! My pizza was delicious, from the crust (crunchy and soft), the sauce, all the way to every single topping. I'm so happy they opened this Jets Pizza 3 miles from where I lived. Have been going to Jets on Atlantic for years despite the 40 mile round trip...this is pizza worthy of a 40 mile trip!!! Great Detroit style now delivered to my home, so excited!!! My square pie was cooked perfectly, cheese to the side, crunchy yet pillowy in the middle and the salad ordered with it was huge.
