As a loyal man, finding the right pizza family isn't easy. A friendly smile and a clean, well-themed restaurant are always nice, but that's not what won me over. When my pizza came out with the cheesy goodness overflowing everywhere (not complaining ), the employee walked it out to me, showed me what happened, apologized, and said: "I wouldn't be happy giving you something I'm not proud of." Those might be the most romantic words I've ever heard. He made me a brand-new pizza at no charge and even let me keep the original one for the extra five-minute wait. The food is good. The service is friendly and the portions are large for a decent price. The ambience is a step back into a Bronx station. So all in all, it's pretty much what they advertise. For my taste, the sauce is a little underseasoned, but it has a very nice tomato flavor. All in all not a bad place to have some pizza meatballs, and hang out for a while. They did away with the lasagna, which is a little strange not to have lasagna and an Italian place which cost them a star in my opinion. And they do offer a 10% military discount! read more

Service was okay only two servers working inside and out. She was as attentive as she could have been as it got busier as we were there. Multiple people complained (including someone from our table) about the sweet tea being too strong like it was straight concentrate. They were happy to change out the drink. The pizza was okay. The Detroit style was really good hot but once it cooled it became tough to chew. Same with the bread on the sanwhiches. The chicken on both sandwhiches were amazing. But the bread made it difficult to eat it as a sanwhich. My friend and I both just ate the inside without the bread. I am unsure if I would eat here again. read more

I dined in at Bronx House Pizza for the first time. I've had their pizza before through Uber Eats, but had never previously been to the actual location. We planned to dine in, but I assumed you would have to order and then sit. However I was pleasantly surprised to learn its full service. You can pick your seat and then someone from the wait staff will bring you menus, etc. if you are ordering to-go, you can of course. There are several booths and tables to choose from for seating. There is also outside seating. We ordered a large Big Al. On the tables, they have crushed red pepper, grated Parmesan, Italian seasoning (or maybe dried oregano) garlic salt, regular salt, and pepper in a condiment caddy. The pizza stand is on top for those who order a pie. The pizza came out pretty quickly after we ordered it and it was hot and fresh with that nice cheese stretch. It tasted so good - very clearly freshly made with quality, clean ingredients. The crust is also very much worth eating! I like the end eating my slice with the top crust if it's crispy (but not too crunchy) and theirs was perfect. Our waiter was very nice and checked in on us a few minutes after we got our pizza to ensure all was well. This is a great spot to stop in for good quality pizza if you're in the mood. read more

I stopped by Bronx House of Pizza for lunch recently and really enjoyed the food. It was quiet, with only two other tables occupied so our service was great. I remember many nights running to grab pizza during my time in Manhattan and this place sort of reminded me of those days. Kinda simple and industrial, no frills. With family from the Bronx, I smiled when I saw a sign with their old stomping ground on it. We chose two slices each. I got the haymaker and butcher shop. While I was a little confused about Detroit-style pizza (not Grandma's) being at the Bronx HOP, I loved the haymaker. It was thick, sweet, and satisfying. The marinara sauce and bacon jam were a great combination. This is a place I'd visit again. Having slices available in this area again is great! read more

We had a decent experience at Bronx House Pizza! We opted to sit outside, which was lovely & perfect weather but beware of the bugs. The service was on par with what you'd expect inside, which was a nice surprise. As a group of eight, we started with the cheesy garlic bread and two orders of garlic knots, both of which were flavorful and hit the spot. The kids enjoyed a small cheese pizza, and they absolutely loved it! My mom went for the Alfredo penne pasta, and she was pleased with the large portion and delicious taste. Leftovers all around. We also tried a couple of other pizzas and a calzone, which were decent! I personally ordered the wings without sauce, paired with a side of blue cheese. As a New Yorker of course I had to check this place out! I absolutely love all the Bronx memorabilia and themed decor through the building. I was very intrigued by the menu. I had to take a moment to absorb all the offerings, the young lady who was helping me was very nice and patient. I finally decided I wanted a couple of slices. Rule of thumb, I always get a slice of cheese. They had no cheese slices. And had no idea when more cheese was coming out?! Red flag!! Anyway, I ended up ordering two slices - the SPOP - sausage, pepperoni, onions, peppers; and the margherita. The SPOP was very tasty. Nice variety, good flavor. The Margherita was hard and chewy; seems like it was in the over too long. I ordered a Yuengling with my meal and it was ice cold. Very nice touch. All in all, I would probably say 3.5 stars for the overcooked margherita and no cheese slices, but I'll round up to 4 for the rest of the experience. I stopped by Bronx House Pizza for the first time today after church for lunch. They didn't open until 12:00 PM so I sat in my car and waited about 20 minutes. After reading several reviews I knew it would be worth the wait! They serve appetizers including bruschetta and Nonna's (grandma) meatballs, salads including Greek and grilled chicken Caesar, New York style and Detroit deep dish pizza, pasta, heroes, calzones, pizza rolls and stromboli just to name a few items lol! Plus if you have a sweet tooth they offer mini and regular size cannoli as well as cheesecake. Today I was here to try the New York style pizza. I ordered two slices. One slice of Beast of Burden with pepperoni, meatballs, ricotta (imported from Italy) mozzarella as well as one slice of cheese. The Beast of Burden was bursting with flavors and the ricotta was smooth and creamy. But I also enjoyed the cheese slice as well. The cheese had a very nice flavor and was not overly salty like other places I've tried. I loved the thin yet crispy but not overcooked crust. And the New York style pizza sauce was a hit. And I appreciated that the pizza was not overly greasy. I met the owner who was very sweet. He told me about the rotating oven which was handmade and imported from Canada. He can fit roughly 40 pies in this oven at one time....woe! Don't forget to sign up for the rewards program so you can get all the points. I'm so happy this new pizza joint opened near my house. Bronx House Pizza opened a new location at Beach & Hodges, so I was excited to check it out. I've had their pizza delivered while hanging in Nocatee, but this was my first in-person visit to one of their locations. I tried to order directly at the register & learned that dine-in is a full service experience. I was waited on by Claire who was incredibly sweet & friendly. She told me she typically works at the Nocatee location & they don't offer pizza slices there like at this new location. Bonus points for the Beach/Hodges location! I decided on a slice of the Buffalo Chicken pizza from the pies available for slices. It was delicious! I liked everything about it - the crust, the sauce, & the toppings. Loved the amount of cheese on it and the flavor of the chicken was great. The crust is amazing. Like, amazing. The pizza had flavor with oregano, red peppers and Parmesan cheese added to it. Toppings were fresh, but not as much as I was hoping. I have to admit, when I saw a new pizza place was coming to Beach/Hodges, I worried that they might suffer the same fate as the other two restaurants that occupied this spot previously. After stopping by for dinner during their grand opening tonight, I'm not worried. Everything we tried was amazing. At the suggestion of the server, we tried the meatball sliders. My advice to all: just order them. Now. We also ordered "build your own" small pizzas and they did not disappoint. This will definitely be our new neighborhood pizza spot. We always get the Butcher Shop pizza which is very good. We don't like the meatballs so we usually ask for mushrooms instead of the meatballs. I don't understand why but they don't take any money off for the meatballs but they charge extra for the mushrooms. And the young lady who took the order was very blunt when she stated that policy. Not sure that their customer service is what you'd expect but I guess that's New York for you. I could see was over talking with the cooks and eating something. My biggest issue was that they although they are ADA compliant, they certainly did not come across as ADA friendly. Too much to go into here. But the thought of calling the ADA office for the COJ certainly did cross my mind. What makes them a maybe, is the food we had was pretty good. Ordered two pizzas and salad before the Jags game on Sunday. Got a text that they were ready as I arrived. When I went to the counter, the cashier said he had just given them away by mistake. So, they had to make new ones, which took about 30 mins. Which was during the first half.
