Prices were overpriced and the sign above had wrong pricing. Didn't honor the price they presented. Not the best pizza in the area.

Whereas most area pizzerias are in strip malls, Vincent's has called this former Dairy Queen home for just under 50 years. I had driven by countless times without a second thought, but recently decided to stop in for a slice to see how they measure up to other area pizzerias. Although Vincent's offers a tomato pie, I've had some of of the area's best tomato pies and come to the conclusion that it's not my preferred style of pizza, so ordered a (cheese) slice of the standard round pie. Service was warm and friendly, as the owner engaged me in conversation after noticing I had been taking some pictures outside. As the slice was being heated up, I saw area senior citizen regulars coming in to purchase some of their pizza dough, giving off old school neighborhood Italian market vibes. The slice was heated up to perfection, with a great tasting crust that complemented the high quality cheese and sauce. I was highly impressed, as it's probably the best standard cheese slice in the area. Overall, I'd rate their slice a 4.5/5, but happy to round up as Vincent's Pizza is delivering a quality product after all these years, whereas other Hamilton pizzerias that have been around for decades have had the quality slip a little over time. Now that Vincent's is on my radar, I look forward to returning here for pizza and trying out some of their other menu offerings, and would recommend them to others.

They were very rude on the phone and did not provide any update. Thankfully the pizza came after another 10 minutes, so I'm not sure why they couldn't just say "Your order is almost done" or "About to go out for delivery"? I don't mean to be too harsh over this, we got and enjoyed our pizza! But with so many great places with kind staff and stellar service nearby, it's offputting enough to warrant saying.

I had just escaped ShopRite with…read moremy provisions and remarkably my sanity when a craving for a cheesesteak announced itself like an inconvenient truth. There I was, standing near a place called Slice of Brooklyn, which sounds like a promise about pizza, not about beef. But geography, as always, won. The door handles were spoons. Not metaphors. Actual spoons. A relic from a frozen yogurt past that refuses to die. Inside, the decor felt like a dream someone had after eating too much tiramisu. Dresses on walls. The nose of a Vespa. A cheerful sign that said Ciao as if it were purchased from a Bed, Bath & Beyond in some Venetian suburb. Teacups and playing cards dangled from plastic greenery that had never known sunlight. I accepted all of this. A young man took my order. Efficient. Unmoved by the universe. He said fifteen minutes. It was ten. A small victory for truth. Under promise, over deliver. At home, I opened the box and found abundance. Meat, peppers, onions, mushrooms. No restraint, and all high quality. A quiet miracle of sharp provolone had appeared without being summoned. It was fresh and it was right, and it provided an Instagram worthy cheese pull if only I were into such things. The bread held its dignity. Toasted properly. No collapse, no tragedy. Was it the best cheesesteak in the area. No. There are specialists for that sort of thing. But it was better than it had any right to be. Better than many places that try harder and achieve less. Four stars. Not because it changed my life. Because it did not disappoint it.

Ben, our waiter was there and as usual put a smile on our faces. We chose, Calamari, Bruschetta, a side salad, a bowl of Pasta Fasul and a slice of pizza. We also bought Mocktails, which I had the Strawberry Shirley for the first time and was very good. After eating decided to walk it off. After ordering all that food, it was under 70 bucks for two people. Not bad at all. Can't wait to go home for a little nap! Thanks again Slice of Brooklyn, you never disappoint. Ciao.

That is like opening a lemonade stand between two Niagara Falls. And yet Nonno Sal's keeps the ovens hot and the lights on. There's something admirable about that. Persistence is a virtue, and so is knowing exactly what you are. Nonno Sal's isn't chasing the high end pizza pilgrim. You won't find philosophical arguments about char or hydration levels happening here. What you will find is a fairly dependable pie with thin crust that holds up, a good layer of cheese, and sauce that tastes like someone has been making it the same way for awhile. The slices fold without complaint and the toppings behave themselves. It's the sort of pizza you bring home on a Friday when everyone is tired and nobody wants to cook or a speech. The prices are kinder to your wallet than the famous spots nearby, and that matters. Not every meal needs to be a religious experience. Sometimes food just needs to feed five people without causing regret. The sandwiches and salads are solid citizens too. Nothing showy, just competent and filling. They even still do a nice version of Peppers and Eggs, which is a throwback I can appreciate. The dining area has a few old Formica tables that look like they have seen a few Little League celebrations, but not much regular use. You can eat there if you like, but this is a takeout joint through and through. In a world that rewards spectacle, Nonno Sal's rewards appetite and respects your budget. It knows its job and does it. That's more than can be said for most things anymore. Four stars for staying in your lane and driving it well.

It's one of those places that can be easily missed if you're not looking for it, as there is no signage along the road to indicate a pizza place (not one that I could see having passed by many times over the years). Italian eateries and pizza parlors are a dime a dozen in the area, however this one is mainly suited for take out, with a few tables off to the side to eat a slice or have a quick no frills lunch. It's definitely not a fancy place you'd want to dine in at, despite having a full menu of pizza and Italian dishes. We kept things simple by ordering a large plain cheese pizza and a chicken parmigiana sandwich. The pizza was slightly above average for a central NJ pizzeria, with decent sauce, cheese, and crust. It was a slightly thinner base and crust as compared to more doughy and thicker counterparts in the area. The chicken parm sandwich was similarly above average with decent ingredients. Everything was satisfying and on par for a good central NJ pizza experience. I'd rate my overall experience a solid 3.5/5, but happy to round up since the person working the counter was kind and thanked me when I went to pick up.
