I've known Marczyk for a long time. They used to have one location but now has two locations. They also have added a section where they carry alcohol. This small local grocery store has grown so much. I'm happy for their tremendous success. On my way to my late afternoon shift, I made a quick stop at this Colfax location for a few items I needed for tonight. I found several items that appealed to my eyes. The meat/deli section is clean. One of the guys promptly assisted me for what I needed. There was a line at the register but was moving quickly as there were 3 or 4 cashiers to assist the shoppers. My checker was also nice and pleasant to me. Shopping at a grocery store can be frustrating especially during this holiday season. I experienced none of that while I was there. The parking is a bit small but you can always opt for street parking.

Comfortable high end grocery food store. This location is smaller than the 17th Ave & Clarkson store. A nice selection of meat and seafood, deli, produce, chocolate, cookies, crackers, olive oil, coffee. The Fairfax wine shop is next door.

Denver airport. Dryest sandwich I think I've ever had. highly disappointed. Great selection of other fun foods but needed something substantial. All i got was substandard.

A fancy AF grocery store, that also sells wine? Don't mind if I do! It's been a hot minute since I've been here - 2011 to be exact - but this store has just about everything you could want to jazz up any meal. Artisan cheeses and truffle oils? Prime cuts of meat? Homemade goodies, sides and pasta? A fantastic wine and beer selection? What about a homemade snack while you eat? Delivery? Marczyk checks all the boxes! It's also family owned, and cute as a button. Everyone that works here clearly loves their job and has a passion for foodies! Their location is in prime location on 17th Street and is a locals favorite, and I can see why! They also host a variety of events (which I was part of way back when I was a Yelp Denver intern), making it the perfect way to sample all the delicious eats and be part of the trendy locals scene! Because I'm such a fan of 17th Ave, I know I'll be back :)

I am torn about this Gourmet Market aka "Uber-Expensive" Market aka "Can Shop Like Once In The Year Kind Of Market"... After our late Lunch, Hubs wanted to purchase some Sausages and some items, to this Marczyk Fine Foods we went. That recent visit was on Friday October 25th 2013. Yes, they have selected Gourmet Items that can be pricey to some. Yes they have some items Unique that we have not seen or perhaps NOT exposed as much as we were hoping for. While we were there, 2 staffs were preparing the Soups or HOT Items that they sell in this establishment. They have packaged meals that are in the refrigerated section. They even carry sausages from Continental Sausage Company ($6.99) that Hubs wanted to try. We purchased Bai Drinks ($2.99), 2 Zapp's Chips ($1.29) each, Boylan Birch Beer ($1.69) and MFF Chocolate Cake ($5.99) during this visit. The cashier who handled our transaction his name is Devon. Time was at about 15:45hrs ish. The chips that Hubs purchase was too salty for my personal taste bud. The MFF Chocolate Cake was too dense and too sweet. Hubs said the Chocolate Cake was A-OK, at least it satisfy his Chocolate Cake Craving Fix for that evening. Take note to self, the Bai Drink sold at MFF is more expensive than other stores that I know of. *Sigh* NOTE To Self Again, Double Check, Triple Check and remember, always remember the pricing aka cost... The parking space allocated outside this establishment though sufficient can be a little tricky and "tight space" to get in and out if you have a Huge Vehicle. So park at your own risk and please look out for other drivers who tend to just go in and out without looking and we were nearly hit. *DOUBLE SIGH* @229/2013

What are your Soups today, Please?

I'm sorry i don't have access to that information online. It would be best of you called: 303 894-9499

What are your hot soups today, as I can't seem to contact your store or Colfax?

I'm sorry, that must be frustrating! Unfortunately the best way to get the soups of the day is to call the stores. I would suggest to keep trying, I checked and our phone system is working.

How are their Friday night hamburgers?

    OUTSTANDING!!

How can I order some of your hot soup ftom the deli and drive up to pick it up?

Do you carry Koshi brand imitation crab and shrimp?

Hello Denise, We do not, but we do have crab meat in cans. Thanks, B

There was patio seating, but it was a bit chilly today so we opted to sit on the barstools facing Colfax.

You order at the counter, grab a number, and then find a table. Seating was filling up quickly, but we managed to snag one. I went with the Focaccia & Mozzarella, and wow. The house-made focaccia might be some of the best I've ever had, soft, fresh, and with that perfect bounce you want from focaccia. It's filled with fresh mozzarella and spinach pesto, and I added chicken for extra protein. The sandwich is huge, easily big enough to split with someone. The sandwich itself is on the pricier side ($17 + $6 for chicken), but the quality is there. You can also add prosciutto for less, which I'd definitely consider next time. The house pickles on the side were gas. We also grabbed a half loaf of sourdough for around $6, which I thought was a great option. My fiancée and I sometimes struggle to finish a full loaf, so being able to buy half was perfect. I had some toasted with breakfast the next morning, and the sourdough was excellent too. They also have a great-looking pastry selection, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to work my way through the other sandwiches, both grilled and cold. If you love sandwiches, Leven Deli is worth the stop.

I ordered a pesto mozzarella focaccia sandwich and added chicken, coconut ube latte and the tahini brownie. Initially I thought it was expensive but then I saw the portions! Lasted me two whole meals and was stuffed both times. Everything was DELISH and so fresh and the bread is made in house!! The coconut latte was also a surprise because usually restaurant coffees are meh, but it was VERY good. IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE ONE THING FROM THIS REVIEW LET IT BE THIS: GET THE TAHINI BROWNIE. I've never had anything like it- crunchy, soft, moist, DELICIOUS. And so worth every penny. Will absolutely be back this place is so cute and great for a casual breakfast or lunch

Lou's was a cute & cozy deli that made us the most amazing Italian style sandwiches. They also had home made pastas, speciality grocery items & catering. There was limited indoor seating with one table for six, some counter seating & an outdoor patio. We parked on the street. We ordered the Chicken Parm & the Fried Prosciutto BLT Sandwiches online & ate there. Our order was ready right on time & the staff were friendly & fast. The Chicken Parm was delicious - a nicely seasoned chicken cutlet with fresh mozzarella & a very flavorful marinara sauce. My favorite was the Fried Prosciutto BLT, it was fantastic. The prosciutto was crispy & was instead of bacon. In addition, there was shredded lettuce, tomato & a great tasting garlic aioli on a toasted Ciabatta Roll. I loved this place - I can't wait to go back!

I ordered for pick up but I loved the ambiance inside! The food slaps. I got the chicken cutlet. No peppers, pesto I. I got a pic of the over stacked sammmmmy, the bread was so fresh and the ingredients so fresh. Also had the pastries. I will be back. I came back to say 15 out of 10 rainbow cake!!!!

While the former Ambli space has been brightened and renovated to look very much like an east shore market, the seating is less than comfortable. I guess the combo of poor food, bad service and uncomfortable seating is great for turning tables? I will put aside the TERRIBLE service and focus purely on the food. We ate at Zaidy's for breakfast. Many of the breakfast sandwiches are based on their in-house-made bagels. This is a failure! The bagels taste stale for "freshly made" and I find it very odd for a Jewish-themed joint to toss bacon into the sandwich (I personally love bacon, BTW). So setting aside the shanda (shame) bacon...with the cheese, there is an utter lack of seasoning. The breakfast sandwich came with home fried potatoes which were cooked nice and crisp but lacking any seasoning whatsoever. The latke grilled cheese looks appealing but is basically a greasy sponge filled with limp tomato and undercoooked cheese. And finally, the blintzes are an embarrassment to any self-respecting Jew. Zaddy's version are these small pockets that are under fried and more the size of a hamantaschen than a true blinze. I see no reason to rush back. Another few blocks down the street is Sam's 3, where a far better breakfast could be realized and Rosenberg's bagel on Monoco for better bread (albeit that Rosenberg's doesn't serve sandwiches)
