My daughter and I had a small layover in Denver. It was our only time to get food in since we had a long flight to Boston ahead of us. We were going to be arriving in Boston after midnight so the likelihood of us eating dinner was probably not going to happen. It was our time to shine since we had an hour so we grabbed a couple hot sandwiches from Marczyk. My daughter got the turkey pesto. I got the Philly, I call it a Philly. It had beef, cheese and peppers. I'm sure it's called something different at the venue. Both were made with local bread. They were under a warmer but I'm sure it would have been that much better if it was made fresh. My daughter polished off her sammy. I also polished off mine as well. It was tasty. The beef was tender, plenty of melted cheese and the peppers gave it an extra texture element. Savory and delicious! It was the perfect bite for the time we had. It was nice to be able to stop in and grab a quick bite. The ladies behind the counter were really nice and helped us out. We have another layover coming home in a couple days. We might have to grab another sammy before we head home. It's a guaranteed good sandwich. read more

I am a frequent shopper at Marczyk's Colfax grocery store, which is one of the reasons I decided to make it my lunch choice during this visit to DIA. I'm pretty disappointed about just how dry the pastrami sandwich they served me was. I nearly choked on it without a beverage nearby. I've actually never even had a dry pastrami sandwich, the meat usually has enough fat to keep things juicy. Now I will admit that I requested no pickles, and I bet the juice from the vinegar and the pickles themselves probably made the overall sandwich a bit more tolerable. But as someone who cannot enjoy pickles, despite loving nearly anything else pickled, that's a nonstarter. And pickles on a pastrami are not very common elsewhere so I had no way to expect a sandwich lacking. Sure they're often served alongside but not on the sandwich itself. The sandwich did have a boatload of deli mustard in it, but even that was not sufficient to combat the dryness. The service area is also poorly designed or at least lacking signage telling people what's expected. There was no clear entrance queue and customers were going both ways in spaces that felt sized for single direction travel. They could have done a lot better with this location. read more

I'd been wanting to stop here for awhile, as I'm at the Denver airport a lot. I'm always deterred because the lines are so long, but that's why I always double check to see if I'll get lucky. Today was that day! There were a few people in line, and I'd heard from a friend that the tomato soup and grilled cheese was everything, so I hopped in line. There were 3 registers open, and they got us all rung up pretty quick. This is for the market in the airport. Order and take away. Placing my order was quick and efficient. My Ruben was warm and tasty and hit all the right notes. There is an area to stand near the bar when you're waiting for your food. I'm guessing, you could probably eat at the bar or the tables at the side. Good sandwich deli in C concourse, Southwest Airlines. They make and supply a bunch of Grab&Go spots in the airport. Those had simpler items, but this spot makes them fresh to order. The ordering was easy and they have a pickup station. There is also a bar with TVs. The seating is minimal, but enough. I also found a spot with an outlet to charge. Honestly, we had a tight layover and needed something warm and savory at 7:00 am without a ginormous line and this spot definitely came through. The breakfast burritos were super reasonably priced, esp for the airport and my vegetarian bean and cheese one was STUFFED; they did not skimp at all which was great. My husband had the chorizo breakfast burrito which he enjoyed and I will say mine was great flavorwise too. The burritos were both warm and had some crispy tortilla edges which definitely upped the flavor and taste. There are a variety of items here, but can definitely recommend the breakfast burrito and recommend grabbing it if you're in the farther C gates and need a morning snack. read more

I had the prosciutto sandwich at Marczyk Fine Foods in Concourse C at DEN (it's listed under a different name on the menu), and I asked them to warm it up--honestly, one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The bread was excellent, the prosciutto was clearly high quality, and warming it brought everything together perfectly without overdoing it. Simple ingredients, but executed really well. For an airport, this completely exceeded expectations. If you've got time in Concourse C, it's absolutely worth stopping here. read more

I had high hopes for this place, but it's just like all of the other airport food out there, overpriced and apathetically made. The toasting process dried out the pastrami because the cheese didn't properly cover the meat. The pastrami doesn't really taste like pastrami, it just has the texture. The main flavor is the mustard, which isn't bad, but I personally prefer spicy brown or stone ground. The rye bread is over toasted with nothing to prevent most of the sandwich from being a food desert. You get your food in a reasonable amount of time, and the ordering process was quick. It's pretty clean, but seating arrangements are a little cluttered and unclear where you're supposed to enjoy your food. $25 for a bottle of water and an average at best sandwich seems steep to me. read more

I love that there's a place to get a tasty and reasonable quick meal in the airport - went work a breakfast burrito (available all day) and a pasta salad side and totaled out at $10 - and a bean and cheese burrito would be even better.
