Food is very tasty. Portion size is very small. Cashiers did not greet us or offer to take our order. They pointed us to a kiosk to order. Apparently the person in front of us had difficulty ordering so the line started backing up. Finally the cashier motioned us to walk up and order. Crowded eating area where a majority of the customers were getting McDonald's. Modern Market Southwest Plaza, Littleton,CO I ordered the Chicken Basil Sandwich, which was supposed to come on ciabatta bread, but it was served on thin multigrain bread instead. Unfortunately, the crust was burnt, and the bread was so soaked with loads of sauce that the sandwich was more like a soggy soup than a sandwich. It was falling apart and incredibly messy. The customer service was brief but helpful. I ordered the the Smokey Chicken Bowl. They offered a generous serving of all ingredients - chicken, potatoes, quinoa/rice mix, tomatoes, slaw, and salsa. The chicken and sweet potatoes were wonderfully flavorful. The rice/quinoa was pretty bland but that is ok with the various ingredients to mix with it. The tomatoes and salsa, however, we're so spicy I couldn't taste a thing. I also ordered the Mac n' Cheese. They were cheesy with a hint of southwestern flavor, I liked it. The noodles were just a smidge overcooked for my taste (I prefer al dente), but that could be due to the time of day - I ordered at 730p, so it had probably been cooked hours ago and softened over time. I also wanted something healthy, which is kind of hard to find at an airport without spending a decent penny. I came across modern looking for a pasta salad and to my delight they had healthy options. I ordered the Seared Ahi Salad and thought it was decently priced at under $20. The portion of ahi, veggies, and lettuce was pretty adequate and didn't leave me feeling bogged down. Greens were crisp and no signs of wilting, so that's a plus. I am a fan of going to Modern Market when I want a quick and healthy bite to eat. I assumed this location would be at least of similar quality to other ones I've been to before but that was far from the case. I ordered the Seared Ahi Salad and I was amazed at the lack of quality and care. First off, the salad just looked unappetizing and like it was just thrown together. Nothing was really seasoned or anything and the ahi was super cold like it was just taken out of a fridge. It tasted decent though. Service was pretty good with nice employees. I find myself at DEN a lot. Modern Market is my absolute favorite place to grab a meal when I'm in DEN. The staff is always friendly and the service is always fast. My favorite item to order is the Thai coconut salad which comes with a peanut butter dressing. Absolutely delicious. It comes with chicken, but I also add tofu because their tofu is delicious. I always have to grab a curry sweet potato soup also. It's so good that I would to get the recipe and make it at home and eat it all the time. Casual. I had a 3 hour layover and walked up and down the terminal looking for something good and sort of healthy. I picked Modern Market because they say they make their food to order. I ordered the Buddha Bowl which had a lot of ingredients (Organic sesame glazed tofu, rice and quinoa, spicy roasted broccoli, carrot, citrus cabbage slaw, and peanuts with a peanut mango sauce) The tofu had no taste and I didn't see any sesame glaze. The carrots and "citrus cabbage slaw" also had no flavor. The carrots and cabbage seemed like fresh out of the bag with no seasoning at all. The roasted broccoli was the only thing in the bowl that had any taste and it was a bit spicy. I don't even like broccoli but I ate this broccoli for the flavor. The peanut mango sauce was ok but it didn't go with the bowl. It might have been better on a salad. I tried to eat it but couldn't finish even half of the bowl. The gentleman working the counter was friendly and professional, the food was prepared fresh to order, and was made pretty quickly. So overall, good stuff! There's very limited seating in their dining area, and it's not attended to too well. Food and trash on the floor, tables not wiped down, etc. I must give them props because when I asked for a napkin to wipe down a table they sent someone out to wipe it for me. But I didn't see any action after that... I would definitely return to this establishment if I'm in the C concourse again in the future. read more

(Not a big fan of avocado, but when the lady taking my order asked, "Avocado?", I said yes assuming it was included. It's not: It's a $2.40 upcharge.) A nice collection of ingredients mostly of excellent quality. My bowl included two large pieces of chicken, one of which was overcooked to the point that it was hard to cut. There was no line at the time at Modern Market, so I was able to take my time looking at the menu. I got a Cobb salad and asked for no onions. The salad came in a bowl that was surprisingly large. The salad was fresh and did not have onions as requested. I could have used more dressing and salt and pepper, but they got very busy and there's not much seating, so I couldn't get up and ask. I was surprised at the amount of chicken that was sliced on top. A lot of people were ordering the avocado toast, it must have been good. This little food market off to the side in Concourse B was a welcome Suprise. "Clean" tasting food compared to the heavy, greasy gluten filled foods in the surrounding area was a warm welcome. Quinoa rice, baked chicken, roasted sweet potato, slaw, roasted tomatoes, crema and salsa. After giving it a good mix I love the combination and the taste of the dish. This is the second exceptional Terminal C restaurant I've rated here in two weeks. We got the curry bowl and the blackened chicken mango bowl. Both were great for airport food, and for the amount of food you get, very affordable. However, my partner and I both agree that the blackened chicken mango was one of the best flavor combinations we've had in a while. I wouldn't call this blackened chicken by any stretch of the imagination, but instead it was juicy chicken, smothered in sweet barbecue sauce. The mango salsa with lime and black beans was a flavor explosion, and the kale was cut down from the stalk completely so that we only had tender leaves. The curry was good but not as flavorful in comparison. Our only complaint was that it could be more curry forward and more broccoli. Both plates of food felt like an anomaly for airport value. Everything was extremely fresh and even though it was a lot of food, we never felt like we overate and that it was a nutritious and healthy meal. Another winner from Denver IA lol! read more
