We stopped in for drinks and the Margarita glasses were so fun! We ordered guac and salsa which is made fresh right next to your table. Portion size on the guac was nice and shared with all. Open walls all around so it has lots of air flow and covered with shade. Our server was the sweetest young woman who gave us some recommendations to move on it. She was also joking with us and enjoying herself.

Stopped for lunch and enjoyed a delicious michelada which was perfect with the Tecate lite that came in a chilled metal mug with tajin on the rim. As an appetizer we got guacamole, salsa and chips and were pleasantly surprised when they came out to our table to make it fresh for us. For our entree we got the aguachiles which were delicious and came with jícama and was perfectly made with delicious flavor. We also ordered the steak tacos which came with a grilled onion however were semi bland until we added the juice from the aguachile, guac, and fresh salsa. Overall, we received good customer service. Seating is covered however all outside but shaded and they do take card for payment.

Enjoyed coming to Margarita Grill because most of the restaurant is outdoors .giving fresh air vibes, delicious food and margaritas were in point. Service is top notch and servers are very attentive to needs, have menus both in English/ Spanish and pricing is very fair. I'd recommend this place for lunch - especially before going shopping or walking around Zona Romántica. I always look forward to eating here upon arrival to PV.

Came here with a party of 14 and got seated immediately on a weeknight. I ordered a strawberry margarita which I didn't think was very sweet but my friend ordered a mango margarita which was soooooo delicious! It was also blended and had a rim. The size was absolutely humongous and each margarita comes with about two shots of alcohol, although I asked to make it only one shot. We also ordered guac and chips and they made the guac in front of us which was so cool! It tasted very fresh and was the best guac I've ever had! The ambience was very nice as it is outdoors with shade and very colorful all around. Highly highly recommend coming here, I came the next night as well!

    Conchita Pibil

Really enjoyed this spot that was recommended by our taxi driver. The Conchita Pibil was fantastic as well as their fish tacos. The margaritas are huge and pretty damn good as well

I think this place is a staples for PV. Seen so many post from people social media and so on. I've walked past it numerous of times on many visit and still never tried this place. Well, tonight we wanted a drink before dinner. Of course it was busy, with PV pride going on the week. Greeter was very sweet, which we didn't go for a table. Juts took some hi top chair at the bar area which is along the sidewalk. They had a live band playing, which they were really good. All the songs you would know and loved. Some even went up to dance. Bartender all were very friendly. We just went with one of their spicy margaritas and a mango margarita. Both blended with tajin on the rim. Served in their classic silver cup which was massive. They're know for them as you see them popping them up left and right for people. Taste wise, it was good. Anything blended is basically like drinking a slurpee but you'll feel it later. While having drinks, just down at the beach you could watch the fireworks going on from the bar. Overall, the drinks were good. A cool chill vibe either at the bar or having dinner inside.

    Pineapple Margarita

Our concierge at our resort recommended this place and said to get the "pineapple margarita." We ordered it and was the best margarita I have ever had. Beautiful presentation. I ordered a small one but I wished I had ordered a larger size. For food, I ordered the fish & shrimp tacos. One word....delicious! Not only was the drinks & food great but the atmosphere was bright, happy and lively music was playing. Great place for fun as well as great food & drinks!

    Horrible! Watermelon Margarita.

Our 1st visit to Margarita Grill was 4 months ago and we had a great experience celebrating my husband's birthday. Tonight we had the complete opposite experience. Service and food definitely not on par. Tried their watermelon margarita and it definitely had fake watermelon flavoring in it - enough that it was as if I was drinking a jolly rancher candy with no hint of tequila. They did stir in some real watermelon as my 1st few drinks were full of seeds and mangey fruit. It was no bien - truly disgusting. They took it away with no apology or acknowledgement. Disappointing dinner.

This our first stop every time we return to Puerto Vallarta! I love the tamarindo margarita. It's sour, sweet, and delicious. We also always get the salsa and guacamole, prepared table side.

Tourists Trap. Margaritas maybe large in size but small on flavor. Very little alcohol. Staff were attentive and tried to make it better but just couldn't fix this. Wish I could recommend but I just can't do it.

This place is lit!! Vibes are good. Service is great and they have a pretty good food menu. They are in the heart of the romantic zone So the vibes are up!! Check them out if you are PV!!

    mixed molcajete
    Rick S.

We passed by this place a few times before stopping in after late night rabble-rousing at one of the nearby bars. It seems like this restaurant is always busy and yet we were able to get seated fairly quickly. They advertise the best margaritas in town and while I am not sure that is entirely indisputable, they are pretty darn good. My husband and I chose the molcajete for dinner, which is an entree for two. We selected the mixed option that included scallops, shrimp, cactus, onions, flank steak, and Mexican cheese among other ingredients. It is served in a sizzling hot molcajete hence the name along with freshly made tortillas. The food was great with plenty of spice and tropical flair without being overwhelming. Service was excellent-Tammy was our server and she was a hoot. We had a great time here. Highly recommended.

Great atmosphere! Have large fans so it feels good even when it's hot outside. Prices are reasonable for drinks..food is "American" prices.

It's thicker, more cheesy than what I've ever had before and very delicious. We paired that with the prime rib tacos, it was a plate stacked with meat and 4 tortillas under it, more than we could eat. The seasoning was great, it was diced so small that it was easy to eat. I got a virgin strawberry margarita, the wife got a coke. It was very affordable.

Here's a stronger, balanced version that includes those details while keeping the review credible:…read more I was honestly surprised to see this place rated so highly because our experience was pretty disappointing. We ordered the ribeye, al pastor, and chorizo tacos. The ribeye had so much fat that we had to pick through it just to eat it. The al pastor was very average - I've had much better at plenty of other taco spots. The biggest disappointment was the chorizo. It wasn't traditional chorizo at all; it looked and tasted more like chopped-up hot dogs. We barely touched it because it wasn't what we ordered expecting, and it just wasn't good. The presentation also wasn't appealing. The meat was simply piled on top of two tortillas, making everything messy and difficult to eat. They were also pretty stingy with the grilled jalapeños. The salsas didn't do the food any favors either. None of them really stood out, and the green guacamole salsa actually tasted like it had gone bad, so we stopped eating it. Service was attentive, but almost too attentive. Staff kept coming by every few minutes to ask if we were finished or if we needed anything. While I appreciate good service, it made us feel like we were being rushed through our meal instead of being able to enjoy it at our own pace. Overall, I don't understand the high ratings based on our experience. With so many amazing taco spots in Puerto Vallarta, this one didn't come close to meeting the hype. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.
