Margarita's had a prime spot on the main road in downtown Charlesvoix, it's walking distance from the harbor, beach and pier. There are a few tables outside, but no real view of the water. It's fun to people watch and enjoy a delicious margarita or some queso with Chorizo. We had the fajitas, arrozo con Pollo and a quesadilla, all were excellent. It was a bit spendy, but considering it's a tourist town - not unexpected. Would eat here again. read more

Terrible food and service. We went in for happy hour on a Monday afternoon only to find out that things really aren't on happy hour. ($1 off nachos, small marg only) Ordered drinks. One drink was so bad that I sent it back. We ordered two appetizers and asked for more chips. The food came but the extra chips never made it. One diner at our table took a bite out of the wing and almost spit it out it was so bad. The restaurant was almost empty but the servers were very inattentive. We saw several of them standing around outside or sitting at tables. After sending back a drink and stating that the wings were awful, it was surprising that a manager didn't come over. Very disappointing as Charlevoix could use some good food. read more

WOW!!!!! Finally an amazing Mexican food restaurant in Charlevoix! The food we have tried was absolutely amazing! Between the authentic red sauce on the enchiladas or the beans and rice, you won't find anything better in the area at all. Everything was absolutely delicious. There are very few Mexican establishments that don't need a suggestion, this does not. Absolute perfection. If you eat here in just going to warn you that you won't want to eat any of the other garbage in town. read more

The food, the service and the atmosphere was great. We had a range of items from the #6 combo, the chimichanga and the chicken quesadilla were tasty and came out quickly or server was great. It's a busy place for dinner but moved quickly. So good in Charlevoix. read more

Food was good in large portions. Service was fast. Downside is noisy mexican music playing over noisy crowd of people eating... not a very large restaurant. There was no booze in their drinks margaritas so we will not order 15.00 margaritas there again. read more

Service I give a 2/10 - you will get seated pretty quickly but it will take over 20 min to get menus water ect. Someone will offer chip and salsa 10 times but never actually bring it. However when you actually order your mean it will come quicker than your drink to dong except to enjoy a cocktail before your meal. Maybe it's different inside but outside was not pleasant. Lots of dirty tables that weren't being bused either. 3-4 servers outside going in and out but not actually paying attention to the ones who haven't been attended to yet. read more

We were walking by, and as our family loves Mexican foods, we decided to give it a shot. And we were very impressed! I had the chimichanga with steak. It was absolutely delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked and everything was very flavorful. My wife had the veggie fajitas and was very impressed. My kids loved what they had as well. The wait staff was very attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I hope they become a mainstay in Charlevoix for years to come! read more

The food, the drinks, the staff and everything about this place is great!! I love their tacos.

We were there on the 4th day they were open and it was excellent. They started us with house made chips and salsa, delicious. Margaritas were huge and also delicious. The staff was attentive with refilling chips and waters. I ordered the chicken fajitas, my husband the chicken burrito with mole and my kids ordered from the kids menu. The portions were huge, everything came out quickly and hot, like plates screaming hot. The kids portions were nearly the size of the adult portions I'm certain the rice and beans were the same size for both. Very much looking forward to our next meal here. read more

We enjoyed a nice Saturday night date. Restaurant looks amazing with quality furnishings and decor. All the staff are very attentive, our waiter Os, was outstanding. I had the spicy enchiladas and my wife had the Vallarta quesadillas. Both were delicious with very generous portions. My wife also enjoyed a strawberry daiquiris which she loved. Wonderful to have this great restaurant in Charlevoix. We will be back! read more

Food exceeded my expectations! Being from Texas, I am skeptical of "Michigan Mexican"... Today I decided to try a takeout - the young man at the counter (bar and takeout counter are around the corner from the main entrance) recommended "chile relleno"... for $6.99... It was delicious and included chips and salsa... I took it to a nearby outdoor bench and enjoyed it with my own drink... I want to try more dishes from this restaurant! read more

Bought fajita for one and enchillatas to go pickup at assigned time and opened with in 7 minutes. Food was warm but not hot. Probably because the pack it in aluminum containers rather than Styrofoam. The fajita I would give a rating of C minus chicken was clumpy pepper in large pieces rather than stips sauce unremerakable.The enchillatas a D minus. They were filled with some kind of meat paste and covered in some kind of sauce and cheese mixture just not good. Chip had a out of date taste and the dip watery. Cost of this poor quality meal to go $42 which would have been ok if the quality of the food were better. Good thing they are located in tourist town because repeat business would be a problem for them . Most over rated restaurant in Charlevoix in this residents opinion. read more

Great addition to Charlevoix dining! Delicious authentic food and friendly efficient service. Fajitas are excellent as are the margaritas. It's owned by the same folks who own Mi Tequila in Petoskey and is just as good. read more

my daughter and I were out just having a day together and stopped in for lunch because we both like Mexican... SO glad we did! The burritos loc loco and chorizo tacos were phenomenal! And the churros... mmmm.. so good! Our server was friendly and the service was fast! Highly recommend!! We will be back! read more

My first visit to Margaritas was great on Wed April 29th, 2026. The waiter was friendly and asked us if we had been there before and shared highlights of the restaurant And asked if we wanted chips and salsa. We had 2 delicious small frozen margaritas and I ordered California enchilada and my daughter a shrimp dish. All was tasty and prices fair. Unfortunately my next visit with my son and his family on 5/9/26 we had very poor service. First off they didn't let us sit in the main restaurant but had us go outside and walk down the side of the building and enter a room where the bar service was held. I wanted to sit in the main dining room. The waiter came over to take our drink order. I wanted a small margarita and the waiter was very aggressive in pushing a huge $17.99 margarita I said no and he continued I finally went over to the bar and showed him the glass I wanted. He did the same thing with my son, this was very upsetting he wouldn't listen to my son either. the food was good that we ordered but we had to ask the waiter 3 times to bring water for all of us and he had to be reminded to bring utensils. This waiter/bartender needs to be trained in customer service to not push a customer to buy something they don't want. I won't be back and instead go back to the other Mexican restaurant in town Cantina. read more
