I'm actually not a bagel guy, nor do I ever think about them when it comes to grabbing a quick bite somewhere but this was a perfect opportunity to try it again. There was an assortment of bagels, and I got half of an everything bagel and - the one that several of my coworkers highly recommended - the rosemary bagel. Both go well with cream cheese. - The everything bagel was pretty standard; I could taste the garlic and sesame seeds throughout. Garlic was quite powerful on this one though, and I almost thought of garlic bread until I remembered bagels are harder to chew on. - My favorite was the rosemary bagel, just like my coworkers. I could taste the herbs clearly on this one; it was aromatic yet a little bitter. It was balanced with the saltiness already present on the bagel. Since I didn't go to their physical location - which looks like quite a walk from Georgetown - I have yet to see the inside of this place. Having some of their bagels makes me wanna go check it out someday!

I just ordered a half dozen of bagels this time but would like to sit a bit next time. Cute place in the neighborhood. Everything Bagel was kind of on the darker side and I was worried it might be whole wheat or something.... Just baked a bit darker than my preference. Got them home and they were crusty with a good chew. Will be back again next time I'm in Georgetown or Beacon Hill.

Parking is usually very tough so plan accordingly - fresh food, hot food, well stocked. They do seasonal items too which I really like. - they've started hosting small food truck events. Tres sandwich truck is also available sometimes. - friendly staff and always nice, inviting and accommodating! Very well trained. - Store is small but always clean and well maintained. You can get grocery items too. - minimal frozen section CONS: - they've increased the prices on everything without any increase in portion! Since the children took over, they've hiked up prices twice within a year for, what I've learned from folks, due to "wanting more profit margin." These people are greedy and charging restaurant rates for grocery story sushi and food which is despicable and makes zero sense. - the new owners did an Asian food trucks event inside their already tiny parking lot. I feel like they are doing everything hoping something sticks. Why crowd such a small parking lot? I went to check them out but the prices were atrocious so i left. The simple mom and shop vibe is now gone thanks to these nonsense price increases that are just for profit. I hope the old owners return so we can get the mom and pop shop feel back and friendlier prices. Maruta Shoten has lost its identity and I cannot call them affordable or a mom and pop shop anymore. I'm very disappointed and hope common sense comes back to these managers and they go back to what the prices were.

There's no public restroom nor dedicated interior here; just several outdoor tables, and you order your stuff through their window. Menu mostly consists of both phin-dripped coffee and banh mi sandwiches of various kinds. One of my closest friends enjoys coming here every once in a while to enjoy both their coffee and banh mi. From a previous visit here around 2023 with friends, I do consider their banh mi sandwiches as one of the best in the Seattle area, and they need more recognition for it. This time I only got coffee for both me and my sis. Servers were really happy to tell me what's in each kind of coffee I asked about, their own recommendations, and how I wanted each coffee (hot/cold, whole/oat milk, etc.). They were also very accommodating when I wanted to suddenly switch from iced to hot coffee for both drinks since it was cold, wet and rainy outside. I got the pho spice latte for myself, and the da lat fog for my sis. Both drinks were really tasty and I enjoyed them: - In particular, the pho spice latte has some of the ingredients in regular pho broth like star anise and cinnamon, along with cardamom and fennel. It had such a strong citrusy fragrance when I was drinking it, and had that recognizable hint of pho broth. The espresso still stands out, and drink was perfectly balanced with the strong cinnamon. - My sis's da lat fog also had a strong cinnamon taste and aftertaste but without the stronger coffee caffeine. Oolong tea aroma is apparent, and the drink had a nice, sweet and vanilla taste to it. It's different from a London fog which has earl grey tea instead, so this one was a unique take on it. On a warmer day, I can see myself coming back for their banh mi sandwiches yet again, while having their coffee on the side as well. This is a place I'd put on my list to make sure family, friends and visitors have at least once!

I tried their lemon grass tilapia sandwich, keeping in theme with trying something slightly new. I would actually get this protein for future banh mis if it was more prevalent! Flavor wise i was left wanting a bit more but I'm a fan of how they don't go overboard with sauces. They cook it to order so this takes 8-10 min! Their drink menu seemed pretty creative as well. I would try that next time! Note that it is a walk up window only! Mine ended up becoming a car snack

I think there were less than 15 tables so it seemed strange that it would take that long but decided to try it anyway. The setting for this cafe is pretty nice so we were anticipating an equally good experience with service and food. The food took 1 hour and 20 minutes from when we places our order to when it arrived.. the server was very nice and offered free drinks but at that point we wanted to just have our meal and leave. It was even more disappointing when we tasted the food and found it mediocre. The crepe we ordered was undercooked on the inside. We probably could have gone grocery shopping and whipped this up for less time and money. The prices are pretty high considering that they're serving breakfast food. We really wanted to like this place :(

Only downside - I think their space is somewhat awkward for seating and overall flow. I wish the service was more consistent. The first cashier seemed upset and wasn't very friendly. The second when I ordered coffee was much more pleasant.

What immediately caught our attention (for obvious reasons) was the bold sign: LIVE KING CRAB. We walked in and were instantly impressed. Large water tanks filled with live Dungeness crab and live king crab, crystal-clear water, and absolutely no fishy smell--always an excellent sign. The space feels more like a clean, well-run warehouse set up for both wholesale and retail, not a typical seafood market. A gentleman working there quickly came over and started chatting with us about crab. Super knowledgeable and friendly. They offer a wide selection: live, fresh, and frozen crab, Japanese scallops, fish, and a variety of shellfish. We considered the live king crab, but it was honestly too big for the two of us to handle in a hotel kitchen--and definitely would've been a splurge. So, plan B: I called my sister-in-law to see if she'd like some frozen king crab legs. She said yes immediately. The gentleman showed us the frozen options, and the king crab legs were long, meaty, and impressive--similar in size to what Costco carries, but priced better. We ended up negotiating a great deal and purchased a box of their Party Pack King Jumbo Crab Legs for her. Later that evening, she surprised her daughter with a king crab birthday dinner, and they reported the legs were super meaty and absolutely delicious. Safe to say, we'll definitely keep Seattle Seafood Center in mind for future seafood splurges. If you love high-quality seafood and especially crab, this place is worth a stop--even if it's an unplanned one.
