We come here often. It's one of the few breakfast restaurants (and restaurants in general) where the staff still engage in some friendly conversation with their customers. Food is solid breakfast food. Good prices. Clean. I would suggest the owners take the time to freshen the exterior - some weeding, a little paint and some minor landscaping would make a big difference. It is hard as a consumer not to wonder if the inside is not being kept up/cleaned if the exterior isn't up to snuff. read more

I'm not really sure why this place has such a high rating. My husband and I found it sub-par at best. The first thing you see when you approach the front door is a can of cigarette butts. Realized later it was the cook. Toast was dryer than a popcorn fart. Like it had been pre-made then reheated. I needed a knife to cut my pancakes, and they were taste less. And last but not least the potato pancakes were nothing more than mashed potatoes smashed on the grill for a few moments. My husband did enjoy his western omelette. Won't be back! read more

From the minute I saw Margie's from the street, I immediately expected a unique, fun experience. A breakfast place in a house? Cool! The food was ok, just not terribly noteworthy. Hash browns did not have a lot of flavor, while the sausage omelet was missing something. Furthermore, I sat at the counter and was not paid very much attention by the waitstaff. I don't expect to be waited on hand and foot, but no water refills and waiting ten minutes just to pay seemed a little excessive. read more

I hate giving this a bad review, but I was so disappointed. It took 10 minutes for someone to take our order. 20 minutes to get our food (there was only 2 other tables and people at the bar who had been there the whole time) and when we did there was quite a few issues. French toast was cold, my hash browns were under cooked, my husbands eggs Benedict poached eggs were completely cooked through on the inside, and coffee wasn't strong at all. We are on vacation and this was our first stop. Pretty bummed about this experience. Food wasn't cheap either. read more

Excellent breakfast place. *Note: there is a $10 minimum for credit or debit card use. I fully intend to go back and absolutely expect to bump my rating to five stars. The service today was a slow, but the place was full and a five-person party walked in and placed a to-go order immediately before I got there. I spent about an hour there when I typically expect to spend half that at a diner, so the timing is what kept it from five star for me. The eggs benedict were fantastic. The eggs were perfectly poached with a nice runny yolk (though you could order it hard if you prefer) and minimal if any water, they didn't skimp on the delicious hollandaise, and the ham was excellently grilled. For my side, I had the potato pancakes. I was expecting something akin to a latke: shredded potato base. Instead, it was more mashed potatoes griddle-grilled into a pancake with a thin layer of crust on each side and a mushy interior. It was far superior to what I had been expecting. It was also very flavorful, excellent alone or dipped in the hollandaise. My hot chocolate came with a "dash of Patriots colors" because of the Super Bowl tomorrow. That made me smile, both the comment and the jimmies on the whipped cream. That's the kind of atmosphere here - casual and very friendly. The staff was pleasant, but so, too, were the other customers. It was a very cordial atmosphere, reminding me of the show Cheers. Again, I fully intend to return and definitely expect to bump it up to five stars. read more

Away from home on business looking for a diner. I was going to go to another very popular diner but decided to skip the crowd and come here. They except credit cards except for Amex. Caught a cute little place. At first I was indecisive as to what to order: lunch or breakfast. I went with the breakfast. At the suggestion of the waitress I ordered scrambled eggs with kielbasa and potato pancakes. I had to discipline myself to savor each bite, it was THAT good. Eggs cooked perfect. A golden brown kielbasa tasted great. For me the potato pancakes were the star of this breakfast. Cooked crispy on the outside, inside a mixture of potato cheddar and bacon bits, oh my! I washed it all down with a cup of good coffee and a glass of water. Great food, great service. read more

Best place ever. First time we went, we sat at the counter of the place. I felt do welcomed and was invited into conversations. The food was easy to pick out as it seemed to dance about my head. The latkas(potato pancakes), we're simply to die for. Infused with cheese and bacon-who could resist?! Even my husband who is Jewish couldn't stop eating them! I had the steak tip,omelet. Heavenly. The veggies were steamed to perfection, the cheese doused them richly and the egg itself so fluffy and welcoming. I enjoyed every bite! Second time we went I had the veggie omelet with pepper jack cheese. Fantasic. It reminded me of home. Small town, local people, local goods and local stuff in the paper mats. It was clean appearance wise, chef was Fantasoc as well as the two ladies. We give 100% tips of the cost- because we feel so welcomed and at home. Every weekend we'll be going! read more

This is one of those local spots where I feel super anxious going in because I'm sure I stick out like a sore thumb. We were sent to a back corner by a big fridge and a bathroom to wait for a table. It was a tad awkward. After about 15 mins we got a table and then the service was efficient and very friendly. With kids I super appreciate an efficient eating experience. Do not leave me with restless kids who've gotten an infusion of calories and are climbing the wall while we wait for the bill! The waitress was awesome about my son's food allergies and checked everything to be sure that there was no peanut in the kitchen that day and no risk of cross contamination with the other allergens. French toast was amazing and the potatoes served with the regular egg dishes was OUTSTANDING. I want to drive to NH just for the potatoes. I appreciated the clean bathroom too! read more

The last time I came here was... well the last time I will come here. The kitchen is too small for more than 3 or 4 tables to order at once. Two friends and I waited 45 minutes for food, we ended up needing to get it to go. The waitress didn't even come and take our order for more than twenty minutes.
