My mom and I were near by and decided to stop by after finding their Instagram. The pastries taste as good as they look! We had the ham and cheese croissant (gigantic) and the jalapeño croissant. My only complaint is that I wish the cheese in the croissant was cheddar instead of cream cheese (I think it was) but that's just a preference! We took home a chocolate croissant, concha, and churro crumb cake. All three were great, I think the coffee cake was my favorite! We had the Abuelita's latte and the Horchata Matcha (both with almond milk substitute) and we enjoyed both. Okay so even without the food and drinks being great, the service was amazing! The two girls that helped us out were so sweet and helpful. Offering insight and suggestions. I just wished we lived closer! First time trying this location found it on social media I believe it was TikTok or Instagram. They are located in Norwalk cool spot the decorations are cool they have the lyrics of Chelito Lindo on the wall. Customer service was decent have some workers that are friendly and others that make you feel like what do you want but it's okay. The drinks OMG the cafe de olla I was speechless it was delicious the champurrado Thank you Baby Jesús no lie it was like you want to lick the entire cup. The mango and guava drink was super refreshing. The Empanadas de Birria, Chorizo con papa and Tinga were delicious the empanada was perfectly made flaky and delicious. The tres leches cake and pan dulce along with other bread was delicious their guava pastry was way better than Porto's in my opinion. There was a small hiccup in all this wonderfulness I ordered some empanadas to go had to share with my family and I ordered Birria, Chorizo, Tinga and Chicharrón con chile verde. We couldn't figure out which was which they aren't labeled and we had 3 chorizo 3 birria and 2 tinga I couldn't find the chicharrón empanadas. I was hoping they would label them or put them in small sleeves with initials it would be so helpful when buying different flavors. I came down with COVID about 5 days ago, and today was the first time I felt well enough to get myself a little treat. I live in Downey but made my way to the Norwalk location specifically because they have a drive-thru, perfect for minimizing contact. I placed an online order to avoid handing over my card or using any shared equipment. I pulled up to the drive-thru around 11:35 AM today and was greeted by an employee with the biggest, most genuine smile. I let her know I had placed an online order, and she kindly informed me that they normally can't hand out online orders through the window. Feeling a bit awkward, I explained that I had tested positive for COVID and was just trying to be cautious. Without hesitation, and still with that same warm smile, she told me to pull forward and that she would bring it out to me. She ran it out to my car and even stuck around to let me know about some of the bakery's current promotions, making me feel a little less like a germ. It was such a small act of kindness, but it meant a lot. I wish I had caught her name, but I was trying to limit contact. To top it all off, the concha was so soft! I'll definitely be making this my go-to location from now on, not just for the baked goods, but for the incredible customer service. read more

If you want a place with good coffee infused with plenty of different Mexican pastries and deserts, this is the spot. We went for the popular recommendations online...because tbh they sounded as great as they looked. Naty ordered a (hot) Horchata Latte with Oat, but it also comes iced. The barista recommended hot because the heat enhanced the horchata flavor. Now the taste! It was like drinking cinnamon at first, which over powered the coffee. BUT once stirred, the flavors just blended together. The horchata flavor mixed perfectly with the coffee giving the name "horchata latte" justice. It tasted like horchata and coffee! This drink is more on the sweeter side. However, they don't over do it and is very tolerable. Danny ordered an Iced Dulce de Leche with Oat. Now, a good way to describe this drink is, imagine a Vietnamese coffee, but not too strong, as Vietnamese coffee is recognized for being a hard coffee drink. If you want a lighter touch, but love the taste, this is a great option for you. It's very subtle and soft. You kind of get the enjoyable bitterness of coffee but mixed with dulce de leche. Danny isn't big on sweet coffee, yet he really enjoyed this flavor! It's approved For the pastry lovers, we ordered birria empanadas, which are made fresh. These were bomb. They added a spicy sauce on the side, so the spice is optional. TOTALLY RECOMMEND TRYING IT!!!! It's soft, salty, and buttery from the bread. A MUST GET! The location is really nice and very traditional. The workers were extremely friendly, and like always, helpful with recommendations too. The accept Apple or Samsung Pay. They also have indoor and outdoor seating. Their hours are Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m and Sundays from 7:00 a.m to 8 p.m. There's tons of parking and the place is very easy to find. We noticed it got busier after 9:00 a.m (we got there around 8:30 a.m). We highly recommend trying this location out as we would 100% go back to try more drinks and pastries. I didn't say anything about the horrible portions when I ordered at this Norwalk location last time time but today I ordered at the Downey location and it's the same thing! The burritos should be called flautas and not burritos based on the size of the "burrito". The burrito is around $10 but based on the sizes it should be worth no more than $5 and I don't want to hear that things are getting expensive because rice, beans, potatoes are still very affordable anywhere u go. Placed an online order to be curbside delivered. No where clear to park for that so I got out - not a problem there but the store was very dark and empty. Assuming it was a slower time for them, I would have hoped my drinks tasted better as they weren't overwhelmingly busy. They did have all food items I ordered however, my expectations for the drinks were not met. I ordered a cookies and cream and arroz con leche latte. The arroz con leche latte had no arroz??? And was awkwardly bitter. That was the reason I came in to have it one last time before the winter menu went away. The cookies and cream latte fell short as well. The drive-thru was open with only one car, but when I tried to pick up my mobile order they told me I had to go inside. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of having a drive-thru if you can't actually use it for mobile pickup. I went around 2pm and the front counter was completely empty. Love the convenience of a coffee shop with a drive through! The woman who took my order was super sweet and helpful with all my questions. She helped me pick the perfect drink that matched my coffee preferences. I asked for something not too sweet but still flavorful. She recommended the Horchata Cold Brew. The cafe was busy and it took about 15 minutes to get to the front of the line. There was parking out back and limited seating given how busy it was! I love the cafe's logo and the whole vibe goes well with the neighborhood it is in. Cafecito: Order the pumpkin spice cold brew with cream foam on top! This drink was very flavorful and creamy. The pumpkin spice flavor was just right and this drink is not too sweet which I loved. Food: The conchas were absolutely delicious! The bread is a sort of gingerbread and the coating has that delicious fall spice. Dip it in the coffee for that extra fall vibe. The Gansito 3 leches was so unique, however, a bit too sweet for my taste. I wish the strawberry and chocolate frosting were less sweet. Not impressed by the pastries nor the drinks. I've gone 3 times hoping that the next time would be better and it just seems "blah". The churro crumble was dry and hard. The pink with coconut pan dulce was also dry and crumbled after every bite. However, the customer service is great and the ambiance of the place is good. The place is mostly for aesthetics and ppl who want to post online and show off how "cool" it is. The coffee also isn't the best. I had been here once before, walked in and tried their seasonal pumpkin drinks and remembered they have really good coffee and good looking pan dulce. The inside wasn't as clean as I'd hope. The counters and tables were dirty. Floor was also dirty. They do have a nice patio with many chairs and tables to sit. This time I went in using the drive thru and it's a little awkward since the window is on the opposite side of the drivers side. Which makes it difficult to reach but they have an extender for the paying device and reach out a tray for you to grab your items. Service was a little slow considering I was the only car there but understandable since the speaker wasn't working so I ordered at the pick up window. I ordered the iced cafe de olla with the tres leches cold foam and white concha. Coffee was great. Concha was soft and tasted fresh. I love this spot. It's a hidden gem in Norwalk. I need to go back! I was visiting Long Beach and had to make the drive to Mariachi Bakery while close by. I wish there was one in San Francisco where I live. The chile relleno burrito was so good! Coffee was great too and the pan was all soooooo good. You can tell that the pastries, food and coffee is quality and you can tell that Mariachi bakery takes pride in the ingredients used and in the baking process. Great job on getting it right. I'm a regular here at this place and i came here on 12/24/2025 around 2pm to get some bread, coffee and an empanada and sit down to enjoy there. Then this guy working there tells me "hey bro can you leave? I'm about to mop and you have to leave." He then unlocks the front door, opens it and points outside to show me my way out. So it's evident Joe Jerkoff wants me to beat it so he can go home, so I collect my stuff that I purchased and just stand outside in the RAIN eating the stuff I purchased. Great coffee, food, and customer service. Finally visited after seeing this place come up on my Instagram. Easily accessible and plenty of parking in a private lot. I was surprised to see a good amount of outdoor/patio and a good amount of inside seating as well. Ordered the new abuelita iced latte with oatmilk, strawberry hibiscus iced tea, Chile relleno burrito with rice on the side, and a puerquíto( honestly could have done without this one). The abuelita iced latte was delicious! All the flavors of abuelita chocolate, cinnamon and coffee. The Strawberry hibiscus tea was perfectly sweet and refreshing. The chile relleno burrito was our favorite, and it was big enough to share. I ordered it with rice on the side and my goodness was it amazing. Chile, egg, cheese, mashed and whole beans! Perfect ratios of everything! The salsa and pickled onions were an added plus but not needed in my opinion. Waiting patiently for the day Mariachi Bakery branches out into the IE because they are so good! I came by on a Sunday. It was a beautiful day and on my way out of the area to go home to Eastvale I wanted to sip on something and I remembered I followed Mariachi Bakery on IG so it was the perfect time to stop by and give them a try. Upon arriving, plenty of parking so no issue there. The outside is very unique compared to the other buildings in the area so it's hard to miss. It wasn't busy at all; there was a family sitting inside and a questionable person outside if you know what I mean lol. The outside DID smell like bodily fluids (pee) but the inside was great! Something I had seen before on their IG place and made a mental note of was the Caramel Flan flavor. It was later on in the day and I didn't want to do the usual iced latte so I went with a Caramel Flan Frappe. They had 2 sizes and I went with the smaller one which I regret because it was so damn good! When I took my first sip I knew I should have gotten a large, mostly because I'm not in the area too often :(. It was genuinely really good! Other than the frappe I ordered, I also made sure to buy pan dulce and a chocolate tres leches slice. I 100% recommend the tres leches. It wasn't overly sweet at all. It was perfect.
