Been waiting 10 minutes for an associate to come unlock their liquor cabinet. Basic hard liquor is in locked cabinets and require an associate to come unlock.

Rotten avocado throughout an entire tray of sushi. This was a catering plater and every piece of sushi with avocado was not oxidized but rotten and brown

Who waits until two days before Thanksgiving to go shopping?! This guy! Despite the fact that it's two days before one of the biggest food days of the year we found everything we were looking for, and at sale prices to boot! We nabbed a delicious ribeye roast (at a great discount!), fresh bread, veggies, apples for our pie, assorted bits n bobs, and of course alcohol! The woman in the meat dept was a gem, helping us pick out a great roast, as well as explaining how I can cut the roast, and making sure I went home with butchers string when I said I didn't have any! Ken, the cashier who assisted us, caught that I hadn't entered in my Mariano's card/phone number, and made sure I went to customer service where a kind woman applied the sale amounts and reimbursed me $47! Jessica (I think that was her name), was a conscientious bagger, doubling up on bags to prevent anything being too heavy! Great job all, and thanks Mariano's!! Happy Thanksgiving!

Always a great choice to get quality produce and groceries at great prices. This is very similar to other Mariano's in the areas which have a great selection of prepared food and bakery items, and awesome options such as cheese and meat boards at super reasonable prices. In particular, I love their better than average choices of baked goods and cakes, which allow me to get competitively priced items for any celebration when I need to. I'm also very pleased with the friendly service and speedy checkout times.

Out of all the other Mariano's I've shopped at, I find this location best among the others. First of all I would like to say that the staff here has been phenomenal, very helpful, as well as feeling fond to say hello. Usually I'm all about saving as much as possible, though I don't mind from what they have to offer, as it's usually unique in some way, or just something worth trying! Mariano's has so much to offer, like. Honey... they have around, over 30 types of honey, that's really astounding! Along with a large selection of teas... So many teas to choose from and exotic honey to pair... heaven. Purciutto, as I've realized not many other grocery stores sell at the deli (unless prepackaged). Oh! The breads at the bakery are wonderous! Definitely check out the large selection of Jelly and jams they have in stock! Wine too.... eek, quite a selection and inventory for variety. Oh! Icecream, the gelato is delicious! Especially Lemon, mango, strawberry. If you're someone who enjoys reading, looking and browsing, you'll definitely lose track of time with their products on the shelves, especially with eye catching packages.

All-natural, vegan, gluten-free soups available. YES!!

Considering that this is the newest Mariano's in the area and it has the main offices for all the local stores, I had pretty high expectations and was prepared to give them five stars. Well, that's not happening. I'm used to the employees in the other locations being super friendly, talkative, and knowledgeable (side note: I used to work at another Mariano's location and prided myself on being a pretty good cashier). I didn't get that impression here at all. The first cashier -- when I purchased my so-so lunch to eat there -- didn't really know what she was doing. The second cashier in the checkout lane did not greet us or say anything. The third cashier -- when I bought my kale smoothie -- was really friendly -- yay! However, all of them were really surprised when I asked them if they wanted my Mariano's card and seemed like they were still learning everything. Maybe they didn't have as much time to prepare prior to the opening as the other locations? I don't know. I definitely was disappointed by the lack of excellent customer service here. The aisles here are big, which is great, but the deli/produce/gelato/bakery area seemed cramped. Prices and selection was great (whew!). However, (I know that Mariano's is not a health foods store) I was disappointed with their vegan selection -- not as many vegan cheese, meat, and yogurt options as the other locations would offer. I was really bummed because I was counting on coming here for those since Whole Foods and Trader Joes are quite a drive from my new apartment. Oh, the kiddie carts! Ugh!! Unlike other stores, the ones at this store are painted reds and blues (and maybe other colors) so they almost seem to encourage children to race them around the store -- because that is exactly what we encountered. On top of that, the people here seemed slower (employees and customers) and indecisive about what the wanted to order (the deli bar was crazy)! My husband and I were anxious to leave. The only thing about this location that thrilled me? THE JUICE/SMOOTHIE BAR! I had an amazing Kale smoothie and ended up buying all the ingredients for it so I could make it at home. I will probably find myself more at a smoothie place for these kinds of drinks than here, but it's good to know they have the option. We are sticking with the Palatine location for our Mariano's trips. I might come back here in a couple months to see if things have [hopefully] improved.

For an appetizer, I ordered the oven roasted octopus, and I highly recommend it. The marinade really brought out the flavor of the octopus, and I was impressed by how tender it was. Octopus can easily become rubbery if not prepared properly, but the texture here was soft and perfectly cooked. For my main course, I had the lobster ravioli. While the sauce was rich, creamy, and delicious, I was a bit disappointed that there weren't any noticeable chunks of lobster in the filling. We also ordered the Schaumburg pizza. I loved that all of their pizzas are cooked in a stone oven. I'm usually not a big fan of crust, but this was an exception. The flavors were well balanced, not overly sweet from the barbecue sauce, with just the right amount of savory flavor from the bacon. Everything worked together beautifully. Overall, the entire dining experience was excellent. From the food to the atmosphere, it was a very enjoyable meal. I can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu.

So, last night was that time! We walked in about 5:15 on a Sunday afternoon, and they were pretty busy! In addition, they had a guy singing acoustically with his guitar, pretty sweet! We were quickly seated, and water came instant instantaneously along with the menus. I ordered a cocktail and hubby stuck with water. He is, after all, the designated driver tonight. We decided to order Arancini and bruschetta for appetizers, while we ordered a margherita pizza for our main. Very quickly, the appetizer showed up - and the arancini's were small, but very warm to the touch and the bruschetta, while small at only four pieces, had lots of mozzarella, tomatoes, and olive oil on them just the way we like it! Needless to say, the appetizers killed it. But what about the pizza? You may ask well, it showed up and it was very hot- not only was it delicious, but it was the first pizza we've had since arriving in Chicago that had a a crust that tasted like many pizzas we ate in California - that was not a bad thing. While we sat there eating and enjoying the music, we commented on how pleasant and simple the restaurant was and more importantly, the staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Do we recommend this restaurant? Yup, and it's now on our rotation list! Try it and tell us what you think will you?

Fortunately Amorino Gelato is one of the better ones that I've run across. The decor here definitely looks much more elegant than the average frozen treat restaurant, with the different gelatos displayed in clean looking cases and premium machines visible making drinks. The menus and signage is all very elegant looking -- though the print on them is small enough it can be difficult to read at times. I really appreciate how the overall restaurant is colorful with food and signage, but is elegant rather than tacky. I do wish there was a bit more seating here, as the business gets rather busy but you may have to compete for somewhere to sit and enjoy your treat. The food unsurprisingly is very good. The gelato flavors are distinct with clean and fairly bold flavors made with good quality ingredients. I also tried the waffle here which was fairly light, crisp, and enjoyable. They are very generous with samples here and I enjoyed every flavor that I tried. Prices are fairly reasonable compared to similar establishments. Overall, worth a visit if you need a sweet treat within Woodfield Mall, particularly if you're looking for gelato in a rose shape in a cone.

I accidentally selected 7 items instead of 6, and I clearly told them multiple times that I only wanted 6 and did NOT want the extra item. Instead of fixing a simple mistake calmly, they kept raising their tone at me, which was unnecessary and uncomfortable. As a customer, I expect basic respect and professionalism. The name is Undici Gelato in Itasca. The owner, whose name is Antonella, spent years with top chefs to create the most perfect Gelato. The flavors change by the week and are all made with fresh fruits and creams. Nothing is artificial. I had been here many months ago as a suggestion from a friend to try their out of this world Gelato. I again was contacted by a subscriber who told me that I needed to try their new shakes made with fresh gelato. They said it will blow my mind with how good it is. I arrived at around 4 o'clock on a Friday. I sat at the bar area of Undici. I spoke with Antonella for quite some time. She is such a wonderful and friendly owner. I could not wait to try this shake that she had in store for me. I opted to get my shake as a malt. The shake consisted of fresh strawberry gelato. When I tell you, I took my first sip and it took everything in me not to chug the entire shake right then and there. You could taste the fresh strawberries. You could also taste the high-quality cream. It was like drinking pure silk. It was so creamy and smooth, one if not the best shake I've ever had in my life. I had to get one to bring home to my wife so she could also try this confectionery masterpiece. The price of this super high-quality shake was only six dollars. It blew my mind. There is another shake and location literally a block away from here that I did a review on. They were charging $14 for a shake that could not hold a candle to the flavour and quality of this shake. As I sat and talked with Antonella, enjoying my shake, she also told me she had another drink that she was introducing to the menu. It was what she called an Italian spritzer that she wanted me to try. The drink before I tasted it looked so beautiful and refreshing. I took my first sip and it took me back to when I was in Italy. The flavours were a subtle orange with hints of citrus. It was a wonderful and refreshing drink to have on a summer day. I cannot stress enough that all of you need to go here for the best in Gelato. The quality and flavor is like nothing you've ever had. Follow her on Facebook where she updates her flavors weekly. Undici is open at 4 o'clock on Fridays to close. It is also open on the weekends. Check hours before showing up. I never recommend a place without my stamp of approval. Check Undici Gelato out and you can thank me later. I rate Undici in Itasca a 9.3 out of 10.
