Ah, the $59 store. Seriously, check the price tags. The merch skews young, the store is usually…read morefull of fad conscious teens & 20 somethings. Unlike other reviewers, I find the the inventory doesn't turn over rapidly, unless it's super popular, like a great bucket hat. There's a huge selection of jeans, beauty products, lounge wear, mini & maxi dresses, crop tops, swim suits, houseware, gift stuff, bags, & a selection of Doc Martens, Vans, & platform shoes. There a men's department in the basement, along with the checkout, small impulse items & major discount racks. If you go on their website they have pages & pages of shoes from different brands. The store has a locker for online order store pickup. They once sent back the hat I had on hold when I didn't pick it up in 3 days. No problem with orders paid in advance. When you see something online, don't assume it will be in the store. Anyway, I'm not the demographic, but I like the undergarments, sweaters, hats, & bags the most. I'm over the phase where I want to look like a fashion victim, therefore avoid the teeny tiny crop tops that look like doll clothes. Same for the oversized baggy balloon pants. One thing I'd tell my younger self is to enjoy your body while you're young, don't hide it, just be mindful that when you're pushing 35 you're gonna look ridiculous. Anyway, rant over. Urban Outfitters is a fun store, it might be fast fashion, but it's not cheap.

I ended up lugging two big packages across town that they then told me they couldn't help me with at all, after I'd specifically clarified that they would take them. The women as the store were nice and apologetic but I'm now scrambling to figure out how to get away from work to return these items today before my return window closes. Very frustrated that an error on their end is now my problem, and if I don't figure it out today I'm out a lot of money.

I walked in five minutes before closing to find a jacket and while walking in the store a man walks by and without making eye contacts tells me in a rude tone, we are closed! I then tried to get his attention to ask where I could find jackets; he tried to ignore me and I insisted and said "excuse me, I have a question"; I was trying to get his attention so I could catch his name. His name was Fernando. He quickly said where to find jackets in (of course) a rude tone. I ended up not buying anything because I didn't want to shop at an establishment that was so awful. I left the store with three minutes left until closing. The fact that this man was so rude and even dared tell me they were closed as I was just walking quickly to grab a jacket was unwelcoming and just rude. I was taking my time; I was walking fast because I was mindful of the workers there and the amount of customers still in the store. I was on a two day work trip and didn't bring a thick jacket and San Francisco had a very cold day (locals were telling me it was colder than usual) and I only had five minutes to find a jacket. It's ironic, that there were drug addict men in the store but of course they were not told it was closed; here I am dressed up in formal work clothes and I am approached by that Fernando guy essentially telling me to leave. This can't be solved by training but supervising employees better; this man seems to be free to act this way without repercussions.

I want to give a special thank you to Erik Alvarez, who has been exceptional. What I appreciate most is that he does not simply wait for me to ask for something. He keeps an eye out, understands my taste, and introduces me to pieces I have never seen before, which is honestly not an easy thing to do. His communication is excellent, and he always takes the time to accommodate both me and my husband with patience and ease. One moment that really meant a lot to me was when Erik found a bracelet I had wanted for six years. I had not even told him about it yet, but the moment he saw it, he knew it was exactly my style. It was a fantastic surprise and made my birthday month feel incredibly special. That kind of instinct is rare. It showed me that he truly understands not just what I like, but what will actually resonate. I also want to give a huge thank you to Lori and Dominique for always being there to take care of repairs and after-care needs so swiftly and delicately. There is real peace of mind in knowing that treasured pieces are handled with that level of precision and respect. I could not be happier with everyone at Hermès San Francisco. The store consistently makes me feel at home, and that comes from the culture created by the people behind it. Special recognition to Albert, Caroline, Pinky, Desiree, and the rest of the management team, who are undoubtedly the glue that holds the store together. Their leadership is reflected in the consistency, atmosphere, and standard of service felt throughout the boutique. Hermès San Francisco continues to be a place where the relationships feel sincere, the service feels deeply considered, and every visit reminds me why this boutique means so much to me.
