I highly recommend this restaurant. Fresh food, sweet staff, I can tell they work hard in the kitchen because food always tastes amazing and on point. I usually do takeout after a long day at work and when I pick up they are always ready for me and nothing is ever missing. I have only ate once in the restaurant and I enjoyed it. The only thing they need is more advertising and a better sign with bright lights because of their location. They accept credit cards aside from cash. A lot of restaurants around here only accept cash and it's annoying for someone like me that doesn't carry cash. I am Salvadoreña so to like their food more then mine should make my point. read more

Very similar in both price and quality with nearby La Fogata. Kind of tucked away behing Raul's Army/Navy. Both Maria and our server were really nice and left a positive impression. This place is AMAZING!!! We are so happy with the help of Yelp sat. I guy we found this gem! It's quite hidden tucked in a strip mall but easy to get too! We ordered to- go food off there menu- Which I love because it said the Spanish and Anerican translation of what was on the menu- so therefore I got to try things I wouldn't have tried otherwise. First let me say that their tacos are some of the best that we have ever ever had we had The steak tacos and you can get them text max or authentic we got text max tomatoes lettuce onion sour cream and it was amazing next time we will try the authentic way which is with onions lime and cilantro the Army is seasoned to perfection we also tried to start as a crunchy form of an open face taco I got pork and my husband got chicken so good!!!!! Only disappointment I had was they were out of church is for the night but it was close to closing time on we ordered to go to fear around 9 o'clock and it was still prepared perfectly and just as good as if we sat down and ate it at Marias when we got him that was the major plus!! The burrito was outstanding and big enough for me and my husband split for lunch the next day they have all different type of specialty burritos but we just got a plain steak and it was picture perfect it came with a Knouff sauces and sides to have plenty left over and I can truly appreciate that their beans and rice were outstanding I only wish they gave you more beans we cannot wait to go back again definitely an awesome place to order out but even better for a sitdown meal it's definitely on our rotation of places to go now I even want to replace pizza night with Maria's!!! We had Maria's Food Truck at our wedding. The food was absolutely awesome!!! The truck was full of burritos, tacos, rice, beans, nachos and all the fixings at our request. It was all wonderfully delicious!! Maria and her daughter Sonia are two of our favorite people. They made the whole experience wonderful. They even threw in a lot of churros as a gift from them. We were greeted by a nice young lady she said it will be a 5 minute wait ok, we said fine and looked at a menu. A young man said ok you can go sit at this table and he walked away. We went to a table full of dirty dishes and food left by the previous customers. My daughter looked at me and said Dad that's nasty. I said ok let's give them a chance. We stood there for a few minutes and nobody cleared the mess. As we left we smelled the air and it was like sweat and body odor. We ate at California Tortilla. Delicious. I regretfully an updating my review. Where's the sweet, nice, welcoming woman who severed us the first three times I was here?! The server we had didn't seem to have much knowledge about what they had abd didn't have. We asked for iced tea as we have the Times previous. No tea. Apparently they never served tea.... okay so we order Mexican sodas. No big except we try not to drink soda. I ordered a combo this time instead of just chili rellanos. My combo came with a taco, sopa, and one chili rellano. Every time I've been here the rellano comes with a red sauce as it does with every other place I've ordered this item. I ask, the less than nice waitress who seems completely confused and goes and asks. Then comes back with the red sauce and says that it doesn't come with unless you specify you want the sauce and you can get it on the side... Well, that's news to me?! With all that aside, my daughter had quesadilla and they were delicous as was the guacamole. But we will not return unless the previous waitress returns. Referred to this place by someone. I was really disappointed. When you walk in its dark and not much to look at but the girl was friendly and the food was ready for pick up. Upon opening it the food looked fantastic! These are the only two reasons I gave it two stars. The tostadas were good, but we got a combo #3 and #4 which consisted of taco, burritos enchiladas and a quesadilla total. The meat had absolutely no seasoning on it. Just plain steak lettuce sour cream, tomato and Mexican cheese. they rice was plain and they forgot our charred beans that are included. The guacamole also seemed to be missing the lime. We were stuck in traffic on our way to the NJ shore and I scoured yelp to find this hidden gem. We decided to stop at Maria's since we were in the area and love Mexican food. The food itself was delicious, however the service leaves a lot to be desired. The food comes out as they finish making it, which means that you may be halfway through eating by the time that your companion receives their meal. In addition to this, our glasses remained empty and we were never offered refills on our drinks during our meal. Once we were finished eating, our waitress took our dishes away and said that she would be right back with the check. After she passed us by multiple times in the next 20 minutes, we finally decided to get up and go pay at the register. When we got to the register, our waitress rang our food up, and the prices did not match up to those that were on the menu. The waitress responded, "oh yeah, the prices changed." If you want good food and don't mind terrible service and paying more than the menu says, then this place is for you! We however will not be returning. read more
