I visited Marine Kristine Salon for a gel pedicure on 2/7/25. I was planning to kill two birds with one stone, since I was already getting my car serviced at a dealership nearby. So, I called Marine Kristine Salon, and they were able to fit me in within the hour. The co-owner Kristine said she was already planning to come early to setup for another client, so the timing was perfect! Since the salon is by appointment only, I had a nice, private service. The salon was cute and clean with a foot spa and massage chairs. I usually get a regular pedicure, but opted for a gel pedicure for faster drying time. The service was pricier than my regular nail salon, but the quality was really superb! My pedicure is still holding up a month later with no chips. My nails feel very healthy and strong. 5 years ago, I left this review and 5 years later I am still a regular at this salon. Over the last 5 years, all my nail needs have been taken care of diligently. Working a full time job has made it difficult to book appointments for anything during the work week; however, Marine and Kristine have gone out of their way to prioritize me ample amount of times and even accommodated staying way over the traditional 9-5 hours, to make sure my nails look their very best! Last year, we took on the challenge to shy me away from getting acrylic nails and focus on growing my own natural nails. Initially, I was extremely skeptical, as in my 29 years of living, I have been unable to ever grow my nails (especially having been an anxious nail biter). Fast forward only 6 months and my nails have grown longer than I could have ever imagined! Pictures for reference: Burgundy nails holding the coffee cup was taken in October 2023. Natural bubble bath was taken in January 2024. Floral summer French was taken this week! Thank you, Marine for your patience, diligence and optimism! I will never have to revert to damaging my nails because of acrylics ever again. For those who are contemplating scheduling; just do it. You will thank me later! I was asked my opinion numerous times about the shape of my nails, my preferences, etc. and those seem like standard questions, but as many of you know- that doesn't happen very often! You either tell the nail tech before they begin or you kinda just get what you get, at least in my experience for pedicures. Kristine answered (she was on the road at the time and promised to call me back soon as she gets to the shop) which she did. I was already impressed then as she stood by her word and also for taking the time to explain exactly what they do, services offered, price range, history of the business, the whole nine. The reassurance that you will be in good hands and the only thing that's left for me to do is to give it a try. First appt - around close to Christmas 2023, I walked in and was greeted by this lovely, energetic, warm, friendly, kind person and her name is Kristine. I immediately took a video of the place as I was impressed by how beautiful, clean, organized the salon is!! It is sooo inviting and relaxing and it's so different in a sense that it actually feels like you're walking into a luxurious nail salon. You're not hit with a smell of harsh chemicals like other nail salons out there. This place is just perfect in every way - the service is top notch. Kristine does an awesome job with my nails. She takes her time, she does everything very carefully and with great attention to detail. Very consistent with her work and my nails would always come out looking flawless and beautiful. I knew right there and then I will definitely be coming back. Fast forward to now and after my third visit, I can honestly say Kristine and I had gotten close. She's also my personal therapist, we talk about life and everything in between. She made me cry once during one of our sesh (happy tears though). I swear this is a ONE stop shop. There are so many nail salons 2-5 minutes away from home, but I always choose to come back to Marine Kristine Salon! When entering, they check your temperature and then have you hand sanitize. There is plexiglass in between you and Marine/Kristine whether you're getting a pedicure or a manicure, which is nice! You still get the same nail treatment -not rushed at all- so make sure you schedule your appointments accordingly and give yourself some time, especially if you plan on getting both manis and pedis done Services are done by appointment only, and the cleanliness is still spot on! I never have to worry about where the tools have been used last because they are always prepackaged - files, tools, buffers and all, and ready to be used for you and only you whenever you are ready! can't wait to head back sometime during the summer! I absolutely love this place- I would give them 10 stars if I could. Marine and Kristine not only make me feel beautiful but also keeps my hair and nails healthy. They are consistent in the quality of their work and give me tips on the upkeep. ‍ Marine not only threads my eyebrows to perfection but is one of the best nail artists out there. She's even designed a signature design for me and I get it every time. (Can be seen on their tiktok and Instagram) I get really picky when it comes to haircuts. This review is way long overdue. And I am so glad I got into writing a review finally! I stumbled upon the nail salon one night, on my way to another nail place. The place was well lit inside. And looks inviting from outside. So I went in :) It is located at a small plaza and I always find parking whenever I get there. Otherwise, there's several street parking (just read signs). Let's go on with the real review. I can not emphasize enough how much I LOVE this place. Marine and Kristine are siblings who's work is very pristine, very clean and detailed . They're like the gourmet of nail salons. They have very outstanding service. You can ask their opinion about the work you'd like done and they will tell you the truth. They pay attention to details as I have mentioned earlier. But don't expect coming here to be finished with your service hurriedly. They don't work like that. They cater to each of their client with care and specific attention. So when it's your turn, you get the same great service. I am going back tomorrow after a month (yep, their gel manicure lasts a month!). Depending on how you care for it. I wash my hands all the time but it hardly had any breaks. Just a tip of my pointing finger but that's bec it's long overdue for a new set of gel. Price is a bit higher than regular nail spas. But what you're paying is so worth it. Their is no pain, stuff they used are clear, defined labels, new sterilized tools for each client, their bathroom is clean (yes I do judge a business place by its bathroom too)! The floors doesn't have stain. They wear gloves and they communicate well. Go ahead and book your appointment and you won't be disappointed!
