Dr. Alberti has been my dentist for more than 15 years and I hope another fifteen to go. He and his staff are both knowledgeable and professional always showing the care and attention that patients seek. I have had every kind of dental procedure done in this office that is possible from cleanings, to crowns and I am always very satisfied. Dr. Alberti has been available on an emergency basis when I have had an issue needing attention. He also doesn't push expensive dental options that may not be necessary. Receptionist is so rude! Called for an urgent new patient appointment and receptionist tried to make me feel like I didn't know what I was experiencing and refused to give me availability for work to be completed without an initial appointment first. She kept wanting to schedule a cleaning when I'm experiencing pain. Very out of touch. read more

I have been a patient for 27 years and barely a complaint about the doctor. He struggled to find some decent talent for his office but landed on THE most horrific receptionist. She is dumb as dirt and rude! She walks around with sucdh a bad attitude. No empathy. NO concerns for his patients and because he is such a nice man, she gets away with it. In fact, she is defintiely the one that is going to respond to these yelp posts. Up until she got there, I never had issues with appointments. 4 out of 5 due to his receptionist. The Dentist and Aide are amazing. Professional, courteous, and factual. The receptionist needs customer service training. I have had several side comments, such as knowing the Aide has surgery, and I had to be rescheduled, twice, which is fine. It was the approach given by the receptionist that was displeasing. She demeans, she reflects, she is arrogant. My credit reports are on lock down since the Equifax breach, and I attempted to use a card that was locked in my safe for 7 months. It was declined. Her immediate response was "Are you over your balance?" Excuse me? I actually just needed to call to verify it was me making a large purchase after 7 months with no activity. $800 after no activity should raise some flags. Glad my card company is proactive. Once the bill.was paid she was in a great hurry to usher me out as I attempted to place my card back in my wallet along with receipt. "Ok, you can go now. You're done. Bye now." I did pay the bill in full, which she of course asked me if I wanted to or had separate payments. Rude. This has me seriously wondering if I should ever go back. Great physician, great aide. I tried to schedule an appointment but there were no Friday appointment, and I tried to get an idea if they would work with my insurance and she said "I have no idea about any type of fees". Dr. Alberti is extremely professional and extremely pleasant to deal with. Agree with a previous poster that the front desk person doesn't exactly go out of her way to get insurance questions answered, but that has nothing to do with the dental care. My previous dentists included someone who insisted I needed a root canal that would cost major $$$ and when I went to Alberti, he said I didn't need the work and was puzzled why that first quack said I did. Went to this office for the first time a couple months ago for a hygiene appointment that I'd been needing to get done. Went because of the great Yelp reviews. While his office is nice, it works well with insurance, and the employees are friendly, it concerns me that he cleans the teeth himself. It's worth noting that registered dental hygienists go to school specifically for hygiene. That's a bachelor's degree, and a certified title. Dentists do not receive this type of training in the same capacity. So while he is a great guy, I will not be returning to Mr. Alberti. I prefer to have a RDH clean my teeth (a true specialist in hygiene which is all I need). read more

I called the dentist to schedule an appointment. The receptionist asked me to provide my insurance number and home address and phone number, which is fine. But then she also asked for my social security number. I asked her why. She said she could not identify me with the insurance number alone. THIS IS NOT TRUE. Other dentist office asked me only insurance number and successfully identify me. This makes me doubt the legality and professionalism of the business. read more

Dr. Alberti is the best! This is the ONLY 5 star review I have ever given and it is well deserved. I've been going to Dr. Alberti for almost 10 years now and he has always provided me with excellent care. He is attentive, always does the cleanings himself and never tries to gouge me by telling me I need extra services (unlike a different place I used to go to). He is NEVER overbooked so I never have to wait and his staff is very pleasant. In short, he is the best! I came in today for a chip in the enamel of one of my front teeth. I love Dr. Alberti! He has been my dentist for about 12 years and I can't say enough wonderful things about him. When I first came to see him, I had several cavities and failed fillings that needed to be replaced. He replaced my fillings and repaired my teeth and to this day I have not had another cavity. He also does all of his own dental cleaning which is unheard of these days! Never once, have I ever felt pain during any of my cleanings or repairs. Dr. Alberti also replaced my two front teeth veneers and did a magnificent job several years ago. I actually went this morning for my check up and it was a great experience. His staff, Joanne and Wilbur are extremely professional and caring. They have been there for a really long time, which again, reflects positively on Dr. Alberti. read more

Good guy. Often takes a hands-on approach to care, not just handing off to a hygienist, and then coming in to take a peek. Does not overcharge or upsell; other dentists I have had attempt to push a $50 "deep cleaning" (a post-cleaning rinse) or tell others in my family they need a root canal "immediately." Dr Alberti I had some worked done by Dr Alberti and did not last. When I was there he recommended to do all kinds of work that I refused because I did not believe it to be necessary. After not a long time the work that he did is no longer good. So I called to set up an appointment and he refused to take me as a patient. In other words to be responsible for his poor work. I have been going to Dr. Albert for maybe 20 or 25 years. He is an easy-going low-key nice guy. Mostly, I love his receptionist, Joanne. She is easy to talk to, knows about the insurance companies, is efficient, goes the extra mile, is exceedingly helpful, and is a great person. Love talking to her. Dr. Alberti is the best. I've never waited more than one minute to see him. I've never had to schedule an appointment more than one or two weeks out. I love that he cleans my teeth himself. He's never tried to sell me crap I didn't need which other dentists I have been to do but still taken any concern I've had seriously. I don't usually write these things but I feel it necessary to. I had some fillings done when I lived in San Diego during 2006 and 07. Flash forward....to today and relocated to SF where I found a great dentist and much to my disappointment and additional expense, I had another 3K of work done to clean up his crappy patchwork done on my teeth. Two more crowns that would not have been necessary had he taken the time to address the problem then. As well as, a botched root canal (not done by him but previously) where if he had looked closer, I would have avoided loosing the tooth a few months later. You can do better as far as dentists go. He is fast but doesnt consider the long term ramifications and expense. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

Mario is simply the BEST DENTIST I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. He is a dentist you can trust. I have found over the years that dentist are a lot like mechanics.
