This restaurant is known all over the area for having the best prime rib and I'm assuming it still is as good as like I said there's new ownership and I don't believe they changed a whole lot on the menu but until I've actually tried it again I can't say for sure. My wife has always enjoyed the lobster ravioli however a couple weeks ago when we were there she had it and it does taste different. Now I do have sort of an inside track on this because my daughter works there now however she didn't know for sure if any recipes were changed or not. Now don't get me wrong the lobster are we only still tasted great but it wasn't what my wife expected because something was different. She still finished it and was happy. I went with a broiled fish option which was also tasty and the place was as usual clean and appeared to be a very nice atmosphere. This was the last time I was there a couple weeks ago, I also visited on Easter this last April, and that experience wasn't quite as nice. And the only reason I say that is because they had a buffet and there's nothing against the buffet at this restaurant it was done very well and everything was presented beautifully however in my opinion buffets just don't seem to taste as good as when you get a fresh plate from the kitchen. Now coincidentally, my birthday was a couple days ago and this weekend I will be going back here to have dinner with my in-laws and with that being said the possibility does exist I might come back and add to this review. I'm fully expecting it to be another nice dining experience so I might not revisit this perhaps only if something really outstanding or horribly tragic happens. I did give this particular review four stars instead of five five partially because of that lobster ravioli tasting different and partially because I'm not quite yet convinced about the new ownership not affecting the overall quality. My wife and I had the pork loin special (don't recall exact name). Probably the tastiest pork I've ever had! Really!! The sides were just as yummy. We both agreed it was a seriously good meal. Other couple had Ciopinno and seafood czarina. They both loved them and shared a taste with the table. Have to agree, they were fabulous. Our waitress was timely, attentive, and friendly! No issues at all. Due to impending snow storm, they reduced prices on entrees and drinks. A nice bonus. The Good: Beer selection was pretty good. My request was tapped out, but it turned out, the replacement was even better. A delicious nut brown ale. Wines were also very good albeit a tad pricey. The price special mentioned above helped. Overall bill was on the high side partly due to the drinks and slightly higher prices for the non-special meals - even with the price breaks. Needs work. We were two couples. Sat near the maître d' podium. The inside door of the foyer kept sticking open. Had to get up to close several times as it was about 5 degrees outside. Not a huge issue but should not have been an issue at all. Slightly more annoying was the noise level. The restaurant was full and very noisy. It was a bit challenging to have a conversation at our location. It eventually quieted down and all was well. Definitely something that needs improvement though. I gave it 5 stars due to the excellent meal and service. Considered dropping one star for the noise and price, but the meal was so good, I just couldn't do it. Looking forward to going back.

(I'm still partial to Krispy Kreme however that's quite a drive from here.). The place is rather large, the dining area indoors looks like it's good for at least 30 people anyways and then the outdoor porch weather permitting is probably good for another 20. I arrived about 15 minutes after they opened and the line was forming pretty quickly however it also moved along pretty quickly. The person that takes your order is not the same person that gets your donuts and puts them in the box, so that seems to streamline things pretty well. There's a display up by the cash register with one of every donut that is currently being sold that morning/day so you can make your selection easier. The menu is a little more extensive than donuts, as they also have hoagies and shareables and of course coffee/ juices. For whatever reason, somebody decided to put donuts with beer... Yeah I don't know... But, if the mood strikes you they have a very fine selection that they rotate from time to time of draft beer. It's a pour your own kind of a thing and they also sell growlers. There's of course t-shirts and other random souvenirs that not only have the company logo/wording but Owego in general. Bottom of mind this place is definitely worth a visit.

I was shocked at the 45 minute wait time for some chicken wings but, I saw how busy they were when I go there. I loved the atmosphere when I walked in. It was busy at the bar and restaurant but no one was waiting for a seat. That's a great sign. Immediately, I was asked if I had an order. I told the gentleman I could wait but he went back and put a rush on the wings. Within 10 minutes I had the wings, and an apology for how long it took. Although, it was well before my 45 minute pick up time. The parking lot is a bit cramped but there's not much room to expand. Besides, they have been there since I was a kid. The wings were so good. They came with blue cheese, celery, and carrots. Overall, this place is well above 5 stars. I can't wait to dine in and visit the bar side.
