I've been obsessed with the idea of Pizza Hut Classic since I read Rolando Pujol's "The…read moreRetrologist's Guide to Pizza Hut Classics." Rolando explains the concept, which is to take older PH stores and remodel them with retro style decor - the following elements are taken from his article (online here at https://rolandopujol.substack.com/p/the-retrologists-guide-to-pizza-hut) 1. The old logo is used in pole signage as well as at the top of the (usually but not always) red-roofed restaurant. The pole sign features the addition of the word "Classic." 2. The interior features cozy red booths and old-school Pizza Hut lamps. 3. Stickers featuring the long-discarded character Pizza Hut Pete are found on the door. 4. Posters feature classic photos from Pizza Huts of yore. 5. A plaque displays a quote from Pizza Hut co-founder Dan Carney, explaining the concept as a celebration of the brand's heritage. We found out there is a PHC in Louisburg and decided to take a drive. The store was busy with carry-out orders when we arrived, and another dine-in customer explained that we should order at the counter. We ordered, and the server brought our order out in a few minutes when it was ready. We ordered a couple of Personal Pan Pizzas and cheesy garlic breadsticks, and everything was great. It's a Pizza Hut, so no real surprises. Food was good, store was clean, it reminded me of being ten years old. Not high-concept, not fancy, but a nice experience and I will make a point of trying to find a few other PHC stores to try in my travels.

I always pay with cash now. but the customer service over the phone is still always dull. and I'm tired of ordering 6+ traditional wings that don't already come with a ranch cup, then when I do order it I don't get it. wt freak

That's Italian…read more Pie-Zano's serves a Pie that's as close to a Brooklyn Pizza as you will find around here. The New York Style Crust and savory Tomato Sauce come together to make the perfect hand-held, foldable Pizza. The expansive lineup of Pasta dishes are also right out of the Big Apple. Calzones, Strombolis, Hot Sandwiches, Cold Sandwiches, Appetizers, Salads and Deserts are all on the menu. If it's Italian, this Rolesville trattoria probably serves it. The one negative is that there is no inside seating. We were fortunate that the weather was beautiful on our first visit, and we were able to enjoy a bright sunny day at one of their outdoor tables. Otherwise this is one of the best take-out Pizzerias in the area. We enjoyed an 18" Pepperoni Pizzaand 10" Individual Pizza with Onions and Bell Peppers. Both were delicious - with just the right amount of savory Tomato Sauce and melty Mozzarella Cheese. Another favorite was the Penne Arrabiata Pasta with Black Olives and a Spicy Tomato Sauce. The Penne was cooked perfectly, the sauce tantalizing and the portion more than enough for two meals. My favorites are the Italian subs. Pie-Zano's sub rolls are everything a perfect roll should be: slightly sweet, slightly crispy on the outside, enough texture to provide a satisfying crunch when you bite into it and king-size. Any filling would taste great when stuffed inside one of these beauties. The Special Sub is crammed full of Ham, Salami, Provolone, Cappicola, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Banana Peppers and seasoned just right with classic Italian flavors, Olive Oil and Vinegar. A complete meal on a roll. The only item that we did not particularly enjoy was the Baked Spaghetti with Ricotta and Mozzarella. We found it to be rather bland, but were able to bring it to life with some oregano, basil, red pepper flakes and a drizzle of olive oil. This would be a perfect dish for the kiddies - and enough to feed two or three of them.

Honestly the best pizza we have had in a long time! Would go weekly if we lived close.read more
