Bacon, egg, swiss cheese croissant sandwich
    Beth O.

I came here on a Monday morning and had an overall wonderful experience. The line moved quickly and my sandwich took under 10 minutes to be ready. The staff was also very friendly but forgot to put one of my pastries in my bag and I had to ask about it twice. I got a bear claw and it was slightly too chewy for me but had a nice level of sweetness. I think it will be better heated up. The cinnamon roll was very flavorful and nailed the classic flavor, but again, I think I will heat it up and finish it later. The bacon, egg, and Swiss croissant sandwich was a 10/10. I will most definitely be returning for that. They had a large selection on pastries and I can't wait to try more! Thank you Mariposa for all of the wonderful GF options!

Amazing selection with all items marked for each allergen! Be prepared for a line on the weekend, but know they are quick about getting out orders! Love the seating area both inside and overlooking the bay!

I ordered the bacon and egg breakfast sandwich and it was excellent. Everything was gluten free, which is always a plus, and you would never know it from the taste. The bread was perfectly chewy, and the spicy mayo really tied the whole sandwich together. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I stopped by on a Saturday when the market was packed, and it took about fifteen minutes to get my food, which felt totally reasonable given how busy it was. The bakery itself is small but really cute, and it is absolutely worth making a stop if you are in the area.

Ordered the breakfast biscuit but the bacon gods gave me a BLT. The bread was nice and crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Everyone was friendly and there's always a line.

I have been meaning to drop by for some time now for lunch! With so many good lunch spots at the Ferry Building it can get hard to choose. Well, Mariposa bakery has plenty of baked goods, pastries, baguettes, bread, cookies etc. They are known for their gluten free options. I ordered their vegan empanada and it was delicious! Small but mighty! They heated it up so the exterior had a bit of a crunch to it. Inside had potatoes, carrots with a hearty curry flavor. Enjoyed the sun sitting outside, it was wonderful!

I tried the bagel and didn't like this too much. I had better gluten free bagels, but my partner got a hot breakfast sandwich and I liked the bread for the sandwich way more. I'd get that next time I visit. I purchased flour for $7.50, a bag of 4 biscuits for $20, and a couple of croissants which I don't remember how much. I took advantage of their day old pastry discount, got a chocolate croissant and toasted it in the air fryer when I got home. It was delicious! Also those biscuits were crazy addicting. As you can see, I got very trigger happy with their offerings. I will definitely do it again and shop my heart out

This place offers the most delectable sweet and savory pastries, pies, sandwiches, and more. It was so hard to choose what to get when everything was so tempting! I opted to try the bacon olive and cheese spiral, and mariposa mcbiscuit. Wow, that biscuit was so buttery and tasted freshly baked, the egg and melted cheese adding to the delicious breakfast treat. The bacon olive and cheese spiral was even better, the flavor and texture of that bread light, buttery, and just addicting. Service was great, the line to order went fast, and the wait time for our food was about 15 minutes or so, not bad considering it was a special event day (Fleet Week festivities in the area, hence the crowds).

Ham and Cheese croissants - buttery flaky yummy

Gluten free BUT not flavor free. One of the best ham and cheese croissants. Looks simple and typical but so good with the buttery, flaky thin layers of bread that's crispy outside and soft inside. The ham and cheese was in perfect ratio. The croissant has a little sweetness to it that complements the savory ham and melty cheese. The cheese tasted like it's guyere. They can warm the food for you. The cinnamon roll had a thin layer of cinnamon spread between the soft bread dough. Not too sweet. Better eaten warm. Noticeable that it's gluten free because there's no stretch to the dough but still better than other traditional cinnamon rolls I've had. It was soft and not dry. Both items were good size for the price. They also offer pre-packaged pastries in addition to freshly made items. Lots of and good variety of baked goods to choose from Nice staff. There could be a little wait to get the food warmed up.

This is a MECCA for those with Celiac! Luis was super helpful and made some great suggestions. The croissants are LEGIT! My non GF friends loved their breakfast sandwiches and we all took some treats home for later. Ferry Building so so great to walk around and the Mariposa location is in the center of it all!

I was really impressed by Mariposa Baking! There were so many options of baked goods to choose from, it was hard to decide what I wanted! I settled on a more savory filling option of a bacon and egg sandwich. It was really good, the gluten free bread was up there as one of the best I've had! I would definitely like to come back and try some of the baked goods. The pop-tarts were especially intriguing!

Tried the biscuit egg sandwich and the cinnamon roll. While waiting for our breakfast sandwiches, looking at the display cases made me wish I had a small fortune and a thousand stomachs. The variety of GF offerings is amazing; I had never even seen some of the foods in GF version before (e.g. biscotti, hand pies). While waiting, customers stopped by, only to keep walking after announcing, "Oh it's all gluten-free." You do not need to be GF to enjoy these very yummy foods! I LOVED my sandwich (hadn't had a biscuit since before my celiac diagnosis!) and my sibling, not GF, also really enjoyed their food and gave this place a 5-star review. My cinnamon roll was yummy even when eaten the next morning and microwaved (I know, I know, would have put in oven if not in a rush to get to the airport!) Will definitely be back at one of their locations the next time I'm in the Bay Area

While in San Francisco, I kept hearing about Mariposa Baking from all my gluten free foodie friends. I was luckily staying right across the street so I got to enjoy breakfast and lunch here a few times! The first time I got an "everyseed" bagel because bagels are one of the things I miss the most in my gluten free diet. The bagel is definitely not an "everything" bagel as it was missing the salt on top. I found it to be a bit lackluster in flavor because of this. They also no longer carry lox which I was sad to find out upon arrival since it appears in some menus online. The next time I visited Mariposa, I got a spinach and feta pocket and a ham and cheese pocket. Both were a massive serving size and too big to finish in one sitting - but both very delicious! I definitely recommend stopping by if you are gluten free because this place has some of the tastiest and also most beautiful GF pastries I've ever seen.

Upon leaving that other place I again smelled the baked goods so I decided to stop by. It was a bit of a line walking in and continued to grow while being there but I could see a huge variety of pastries behind the glass. I was impressed by the variety they had and decided to try a few different ones I wouldn't normally try. I picked up a cinnamon crunch donut and few different custard filled ones. Service is straight forward since they are open 24/hrs at the nob hill location. The donut holes looked great, but they lacked that classic fluffy texture, missing the mark on what makes a donut hole truly satisfying. The apple fritter was massive for the price, but the apple flavor was a bit too subtle. The crème brûlée donut was decent, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, it's a nice space, but the search for a top-tier donut hole under $5 continues!

Having a place that's open practically around the clock is such a luxury, and it's become one of those businesses that the Sunset is lucky to have. One of my favorite things is that the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted by the smell of freshly baked pastries. It's exactly what you hope for when you walk into a neighborhood café. Even better, they taste every bit as fresh as they smell--flaky, buttery, and consistently delicious. It's the kind of place where it's hard to leave with just one pastry. The coffee is always hot, fresh, and ready to go, making it an easy stop whether you're in a rush or taking your time. And if you're hungry, don't skip the sandwiches. They're hearty, indulgent, and absolutely hit the spot, especially in the early morning when you need something substantial to start the day. Beyond the food, Uncle Benny's has that classic neighborhood café feel that keeps locals coming back. Friendly, dependable, and consistently satisfying--it's everything you'd want from a community staple. I was tempted at first to get a banh mi but opted instead to order their namesake items, and I'm ultimately glad I did because I think they're a more accurate representation of their offerings. I got a loaded veggie bagel without cream cheese, as I wanted to add my own Kite Hill dairy free cream cheese, and a "cinnamon roll". The reason for the quotes around cinnamon roll is vector ended up being a doughnut shaped like a cinnamon roll topped with glaze and crumbles. The bagel was great! I received a toasted sesame bagel, which was a surprise because there was not an option to select type on Uber Eats. I love sesame so was quite satisfied. The bagel was stuffed to the brim with veggies, so it was a fantastic way to smash in some healthy produce to start my day. The cinnamon roll doughnut, however, was too sweet, and I'm really not a doughnut person. Like I would probably never go out of my way for one. It was so big I couldn't finish it and ended up composting the rest. I'm glad I tried it to fairly assess the place but wouldn't get again and honestly only added it to my cart to meet the minimum Uber Eats delivery spend to avoid higher fees.
