FRESH donuts, fast service and a great place to stop mid run . You know it's good when there is a line of police officers!

Cool coffee shack in a great location. The customer service was great, and the coffee hit the spot. Hey Lucas "May The Force Be With You".

Cute small shop right by the water. You can totally grab donuts coffee and then enjoy the view of the water and Golden Gate Bridge. The donut was fluffy and well risen. The passion fruit glaze was so tangy and flavorful, and the slight chocolate flavor actually complimented it rather than taking away from the donut. Also got a classic latte that was so creamy and rich coffee. I really enjoyed it and I'm not much of a coffee person. Staff was nice and pretty quick with the coffee. There is very limited seating and it's all out doors but there is so much greenery and places to sit in the public around.

Perfect location by Crissy Beach. The espresso is good, if pricey. Same with the donuts. I had a spiced chocolate, which is a cake donut (my favorite kind) with warm spices and a kick--a lot like Mexican hot chocolate. I got my daughters the vanilla milk chocolate. My younger daughter tasted sea salt in the glaze, which she didn't like. In general, the donuts are definitely made for adult palettes. There are some tables, but it's much nicer to take your donuts and coffee to the beach only steps away!

Two cold coffees sitting on a bench

Donut was okay. The cutest thing about this place was the location and environment around it. I only gave an extra star because they had a decent playlist. If you're looking for a simple donut and hot drip coffee (the kind you'd find at a typical donut shop), I wouldn't recommend. No creamer, only refrigerated half & half and oat milk that made my coffee cold. Coffee didn't even taste like coffee. Don't even bother asking questions because they will stare at you blankly.

Gee, I had not been to Dynamo Donuts on 24th in ages. The last time was back when I had a burning desire to satisfy my curiosity about the fabled Maple Bacon Apple Donut. I satisfied it and moved on, presumably to the next fabled donut. I guess that makes me a donut whore since I didn't leave a thank you note on the bed stand after I devoured it. I was taking a walk on the Golden Gate Promenade trying to overtake an Indian family whose familial bondage was blocking my path. Once I passed them, I noticed this kiosk standing rather inconspicuously next to the Marina. I just noticed a line of white, middle-aged men in Bermuda shorts. What could they possibly be waiting for? Ah, Dynamo Donuts and coffee. How could I resist in the middle of the morning? Yes, I got a couple of their $4 Donuts and a $4 16-ounce cup of Coffee (photo: https://yelp.to/lvlJBStly3). I was surprised there were seven kinds still available, so I went with the Mint Chocolate, a glazed creation rolled in mint chocolate bits, and yes, the Maple Bacon Apple replete with bacon bits (photo: https://yelp.to/nEVmnMC6kR). Not transcendent but satisfying amid the bay breeze. DONUTS - 4 stars...not quite up to the hype but a nice treat AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...just a kiosk with some seats and tables but close to the Marina Green and Crissy Field SERVICE - 3 stars...seemed trapped TOTAL - 4 stars...a worthwhile morning donut stop RELATED - Exploring the Marina? This little cafe is right by one of the most scenic spots in SF - Crissy Field! I stopped by during a walk along the water. They have a few tables and chairs to enjoy your food and drinks there as well. I got a regular coffee, which I enjoyed, but the star of the show was the donut. I had the lemon poppy seed donut, which is one of their seasonal options. The flavors were great and I particularly liked that it wasn't too sweet. The donuts are small but hefty and it made the perfect snack. They also have vegan and gluten free regular and seasonal options, making this place super accessible for everyone.

I have been visiting Dynamo since I was an Undergrad student at USF in 2012; I would drive across town to the original location on Saturday mornings just to grab some treats to share with my classmates. Fast forward to 2024, I still look forward to this sweet treat and often plan my long Saturday run near the marina green preferably so my last few steps bring me straight to the little hut at the marina green. I'm a huge fan of their ability to create some fun monthly flavors including gluten free options. I'm not gluten free but I have to say, I find their GF to be pretty darn tasty; I often gravitate towards the flavors and am never disappointed. They have mastered the texture of the GF, it's hard to tell the difference, they really are that good. I have friends who are restricted to GF, so I've been forced to try a lot of these items and have to say, I've had my fair share of tasting items that are not enjoyable and would never eat again if I had to restrict myself to GF. I'm happy to report, dynamo cracked the code and their GF donuts are delicious As for their regular variety you can't go wrong with trying them out. I also recently had an apple maple donut with bacon which hit the mark for me as I love the sweet and savory combo. So if you are a fan of donuts, and you're waking by, don't think twice, give them a try.

Soooooo glad a friend told me about this place. The original location is in the mission but this spot is just as good. Unique and delicious donuts. The service was fast and the ambiance on the water next to the sail boats is dreamy!! My favorites were the passionfruit and the vanilla milk chocolate! Only complaint is the strange hours! Otherwise it's a perfect spot to grab a donut on a walk around the marina greens/palace/east beach!

    Strawberry elderflower donut

I was running a half marathon and got really hungry near Crissy Field. Very lucky to have Dynamo Donut in the tiny kiosk near the waterfront! It's an one-man booth here (literally only fits one person) and there's a lot of traffic so be prepared for a line. That said I got my donut right after ordering so it's a very fast line, it's no Arsicault. I got the Strawberry Elderflower donut which was amazing: fruity, flowery flavor on top of a cake-y donut. Amazing to grab such an awesome pastry and walk along the water in the Marina. Great hot girl walk destination forsure They also have dog treats which, if I were a dog, I'd be excited about. To wrap, I think this is among my top donut spots in SF. Would recommend if you're able to get to the area :)

Opens at 8. Absolutely lovely location by the water after a swim or run im here to be devouring some good eats! Hella tiny. But viewtiful and tasty

Come here for exotic flavored donuts with free parking and a view. This is the only donut place I know of in the city that has free easy parking. It's really cute, located in a little hut next to Crissy Field. I always sit and look out at the Bay or do a walk to the Wave Organ afterwards. The flavors here are a little more exotic and the donuts taste more dense and less fluffy that regular donuts. Two of my favorite things in life are chocolate and roses so I was happy because they have a chocolate rose donut. The rose flavor is subtle, I'd actually prefer it if had a stronger rose flavor but it's still good. There is an everyday menu as well as rotating flavors for each month. I thought all their flavors were really creative and fun. The website lists everything for the whole year so you can get an idea of what is to come and plan for a special event months in advance. This is a good place for commuters from Marin to come and get a donut and coffee while admiring the bridge view for 5-10 minutes then drive to work and get downtown by 9am.

Chocolate spice, maple bacon apple, and lemon thyme.

And it kind of looks like a convenience store from the inside. But if you look deeper into the interior, you'll see an ordering counter and a kitchen. That's because the Twisted Café REALLY is a café. It's open every single day from 7AM - 10PM serving breakfast bagel and croissant sandwiches, breakfast toasts, bowls, pastries, smoothies, specialty sandwiches, teas and coffees. There are racks of potato chips and the like, refrigerated cases with soda, juices, beer, energy drinks, and a few grocery items. There are a few tables and chairs inside and a few outside in the courtyard next to the Infinity hotel. We were two of a dozen relatives staying at Infinity, all in town for a wedding. Our group made quite a few trips into the Twisted Café for snacks , drinks, breakfast, sandwiches, etc. The day of the wedding, we didn't want a big lunch, so my wife and I split a Veggie Delight Sandwich ($14) with Hummus, avocado, provolone cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, everything bagel seeds, tomatoes, and arugula on toasted ciabatta bread. It was really loaded up thick with all of those goodies and was an excellent value for the price, quantity and quality. A bag of chips was $1.99 and a Cappuccino was $5. Pretty reasonable pricing as well. The service was excellent, from the cheerful gent at the morning counter to the smiling young lady at the afternoon counter. There is a big screen TV on their exterior wall facing the courtyard, and we saw a group of soccer fans watching the World Cup! That seemed very appropriate given the "community vibes" we felt at the Twisted Café.
