One of the cleanest Mexican food restaurants I've been to in Tucson (and I've been to almost all of them) not to mention attentive, quick service! Authentic Mexican seafood at a reasonable price. To drink: a Michalada (Mexican beer with spicy tomato) which was perfectly spiced and delicious on a hot Tucson day. Started with the ceviche. Solid amount of fish/shrimp in it (most places it's 75% tomatoes). A BUNCH of hot sauces at the table (a must). Only problem is I almost got too full! Had the fish Veracruzana and my wife had the fish Culichi and both were absolutely fantastic! No "fishey" flavor to the fish, and mine had an amazing amount fish in it. To finish, had a churro and flan. Solid flan, no complaints at all. Would recommend to anyone! read more

I know we are out in the middle of the desert ordering seafood, so I expect it to be a bit expensive for what it is, but the flavors are good enough to justify the trip. My absolute go-to is the shrimp with bacon paired with a side of their green sauce--that is a pretty darn good combo and highly recommended. Also, if you are visiting Tucson and find this place, don't be scared--it's pretty good! Trust me, you can't go wrong with the cheese and bacon-wrapped shrimp. You will love them. Don't be boring and just go to a McDonald's; stop by here and enjoy! Since we love this place and want to see it thrive, I do have a few pieces of constructive advice for the team: Allow Seafood Add-Ons: I've asked multiple times to just add a side of fish to my shrimp order, and I'm always told no and that I have to buy an entire second plate. I totally understand the policy if you're trying to prevent people from taking advantage (like ordering a cheap side of fish for a kid instead of a real meal). But if everyone at the table has already ordered a full plate, you should absolutely allow us to pay for a seafood add-on. I love the shrimp and I love the fish, but I don't want to pay $22.00 just to get a second plate of rice, a meh salad, and fries I don't want. Step Up the French Fries: Please do something about the fries. There is zero effort put into them. Have the kitchen staff actually tried them lately? It honestly feels like they are just ordered and dropped in the oil without anyone tasting them to see if they're actually good. Attentive Service: The waiters need to be a bit more attentive. For as quiet as the Ina location usually is when we drop in, the service shouldn't feel like Popeyes on a good day. You guys have been a staple here for a long time, and because we love you, we are still going to keep coming back! The whole fried fish was amazing and very filling! I definitely recommend! The environment is really cool with their mural and music. Staff is very attentive and give great service! I visited this establishment more than enough times to give this review. With the expectation to eat authentic seafood from the great state of chihuahua, Mexico it delivers on all notes no question about the taste & authenticity. But the servers customer service is very targeted & won't help you unless they really want too. It hasn't happened once but many times already that I felt compelled to write this. They allow large groups of customers to berate friends & families that come here just because they are regulars who tip. My last time here I didn't even leave a tip that how horrible it was. For me, the only reason I will give this place any stars is for the waiter, Omar. Very sweet guy, attentive, and friendly. My husband may give it another star on top of mine as he said his battered fish and french fries were good. The margaritas didn't have a kick to them and priced at $9....it should've had something. I'm a vegetarian and besides side dishes of white rice and beans, there is absolutely nothing else to choose from on the menu. At least have a salad section! After years of driving by this place, multiple times per day, I finally decided to stop in and have lunch last week. The decor here is super fun and the vibe is really like being at a Mexican beach shack for lunch, with the bar at the heart of the restaurant. The service was great and our waiter was really attentive. That being said, the food was pretty "meh" and run-of-the-mill. I wouldn't say there was anything that really stood out in terms of flavor and everything was prepared appropriately, so it really was just kind of boring food. If you aren't into a lot of spice and want more mild flavors, especially with your seafood, this is a great spot. Additionally, there's almost nothing on this menu that isn't at least $20 per plate. My wife and I dined her several weeks ago and we both got food poisoning. We ordered the Vera Cruz fish and ceviche. Both had an unusual aroma as first smell. When we got home 30 minutes later, we both started vomiting followed by diarrhea. We both had to go to urgent care and it took us about 4 days to fully recover. I asked the server about the aroma and she said that the owner told management that they wanted them to use the fish even if it was a day or two old to save money. Stopped by tonight for a medium Pulpo Cocktail ($14) and 2 Fish Tacos ($4 each). The slices of Octopus tentacles were plentiful and tender in a rich marinade of tomato, onions, cilantro and lime juice. I added a little bit of hot sauce and more lime juice. The freshness and flavor really popped! Then my 2 fish Tacos arrived. Lightly beer battered fish filets on corn tortillas. Mexican relish and cole slaw were added to the Tacos with lime juice and hot sauce. Delicious! Hot and crisp fish surrounded by fresh veggies and held together by a tortilla. I enjoyed my meal tremendously. It was a light meal yet very satisfying. Total after tax was $23.35. I shall return! The ambiance of the restaurant is very pleasant as well. You put it in the tostada, then the ceviche and a squirt of lime and hot sauce and you're taste buds will sing like Mariachis!! The Culichi comes with fries, rice and a salad. I've never written a review but couldn't wait to get home to write one. I asked the waitress if she suggested the breaded shrimp/camarones empanizados or garlic shrimp plate. She said she preferred the breaded shrimp so I decided to try that plate. It was like eating a cardboard box. That crap had no flavor and was stale. I even requested ketchup and tried to drench it in salsa but to no avail. I suggested to the waitress don't ever recommend this plate it taste horrible but she replied I like it, I was hoping she would try the several pieces I left behind or have the cook taste his/her cooking. Decided to try their shrimp tacos. The menu listed 2 versions: fish tacos and fish tacos with shrimp. Ordered fish tacos with shrimp. Received fish tacos with fish instead. The waitress was extremely rude, did not take it back so I had to re-order fish tacos with shrimp. Food is always amazing, service is usually really good except for Monday, Ale was our server, she looked like she was in a horrible mood and almost looked bother we asked for anything, I felt uncomfortable asking, so we quickly finished and asked a nice gentleman serving other tables for our check, his name is Cesar, he has helped us before, from now on he's our server. Just like their motto-"Best seafood in the desert!"... So far this place does not disappoint! I've been here several times before, and everything that I've had here is AMAZING! I've tried the fish tacos, fried fish, cerviche, shrimp relleno & shrimp culichi. My favorites would have to be the Shrimp Culichi and the Shrimp Relleno. The green sauce in the shrimp culichi is so creamy and flavorful. I usually put my rice in it too because I want that flavor in every bite! Super yummy and fulfillingly deliciious! Oh, and as for the Shrimp Relleno....Giant sized Shrimp wrapped in bacon, what more could you ask for? =) Both are served with fries and a salad too! Mmmm, I think I'm getting hungry again! Lol. My only caveat is the service. I'd actually have to take a half star off, making it a 4.5 star rating, because of it. Our waitress was a bit slow and inattentive. We had to either try to make eye contact with her or flag her down to get refills on our drinks, and later when we wanted our check. The bus boy actually was more helpful and friendly. Anyways, other than that, the food outweighed the service in my book. (Probably cause this is one of the only seafood places in town that is worth going to, I'd overlook it!) We were in close to closing time on a weekday. I try not to do that, because then you're the reason the staff can't go home earlier, but we were hungry, and my boyfriend loves the shrimp culiche. We sat at the bar, and our server was super nice and attentive, offering us extra condiments and asking if there was anything we wanted to watch on the bar TVs. I usually get ceviche here, and it's great. But I wanted something hot so we both got shrimp culiche. It's decent but heavy, and you get salad (pretty much out of a bag), fries, and rice with your dish. All the sides are pretty bland, but our food was very hot and fresh. The shrimp were good size and tasted fresh, which is not always the case when you don't live near the ocean! The place was clean and the atmosphere is very reminiscent of Rocky Point. This is my first time trying this restaurant and I have to say I am utterly impressed with the variety of food options and the taste of the food. I ordered the shrimp with red sauce and it came with rice, salad, fries and yummy ness. Not sure if you met us as a word that's the best way I can describe the flavor and the taste of this restaurant you definitely have to try this instead of your typical red lobster. The dishes are so creative and you get a lot for your money. My plate of food for dinner was only $15 and I have enough leftovers to last me a couple of days. Oh man, there's not a lot of nice things I can say about this place. The chips had to be at least a day old and over cooked. The salsa was not flavorful nor appetizing to look at. I ordered the chicken quesadillas and it took forever to get the food. But I did like the quesadillas. The chicken tasted fresh and the cheese was good. And they cooked the tortillas just right. The rice on the side was not Mexican rice-it was plain rice and it was no Bueno. The last thing to review was the service and I have to say that I was very unimpressed. Completely underwhelmed. NOT reasonably priced, the prices must have been increased. Ordered Camerones rellenos which was mainly tasty but dominated by bacon. The pico de gallo served with it was pretty bland. Not sure how but it was. Also ordered a campechana, it was like eating the dirty ocean. Some of the meat was hard and chewy ( sea snail I think), and way over priced at 18.95. Once we were served our food, the waitress never came back. She was running around like crazy but never to check up on us. Still sitting here waiting for the check, needing a take out box, but thinking it's not worth it cuz how much longer will that take... Also had a house margarita which was pretty tame on flavor and alcohol. The salsa and chips served at the beginning of the meal pretty much set the tone for the meal- bland, not worth the $ at all.
