    Fish taco
    Jesse V.

We came here on a Friday night, thankfully we found a table right away. The band was playing with the volume up the Ying yang. The food was absolutely delicious, I was honestly surprised. I got the Garlic plate, it was shrimp and fish, it also had beans amd rice. My wife got the camarones a la diabla and they were also delicious. I didn't get full with my plate so I got another fish taco, the fish was battered and it was also good. Overall it was a good experience, the staff was nice and attended us with the upmost best service!

10/10 Super yummy food, amazing taste all around. Chips are nice and crunchy. House salsa is super yummy with the chips. Asked for chips on the side for my nachos and they were very accommodating! Super friendly staff and servers!!

    CARNE ASADA BURRITO 10/10

SERVICE | whoa! We had a large party of about 20 people and service was top notch! Even with the loud music :) FOOD | everything was sooo delicious! One person in our group kept raving about the carne asada burrito so we had to try it... surprisingly SO GOOD. The beef was really tender! The gobernator taco was also another favorite! Really though, don't think you can go wrong. Everything had large portions too, so I would recommend sharing! AMBIENCE | it's loud AF. Expect nothing less haha if you come in expecting a nice place for long convos, this is not it. I notice there were a lot of one stars because of the music, but come on you've been warned! PARKING | plenty outside! Come try it out yourself, or just order carne asada burrito To-go! :)

Good food but the drunk guy ruined it

Great food. But they had on e guy there acting belligerent and drunk . Grabbing the waitresses is not cool at all. They need security. I can't believe an establishment with great food would run out customers because of some drunk guy acting crazy. I heard he's a regular. I will not visit this place in person. I will order take out instead. Great food. Just a bad customer ruined my visit.

    Sexy shrimp octopus plate

I came here with my coworkers because they were in the mood for mariscos. There are two menus. I wasnt a fan of anything I saw except for the fried shrimp with fries and the sexy shrimp and octopus plate(that's what it's called in Spanish) So I went with the latter. Pretty decent size for the smaller size. I finished my plate pretty full. Let me tell you that this place has an Horchata like I've never tasted before! It was so rich and delicious. I would come back just for this! Service could have been way better. We weren't checked on even though the restaurant was somewhat empty for the friday afternoon lunch period we came in.

    Michelada and seafood was great

Michelada and seafood was great They also had live music which was a bit loud Don't forget to use the yelp check in for 10% off

The food and service were pretty decent, but the live mariachi band makes me hesitant to even step foot inside the restaurant again (at least during dinner time). The mariachi band was a full band with trumpets and a tuba player. It was DEBILITATINGLY loud. It was shocking at first when the band started playing. It was hard to even focus on the food at that point or even to hold a conversation without screaming across the table. We were this close to packing up our barely touched food and taking it to go because the loud band was unbearable. I was looking around to see if other people were enjoying it but it seems like everyone else felt the same or was trying to bear through it. The kids at the other tables were covering their ears. The waitresses all wore ear plugs!!! The full sized band is just not appropriate for the size of the venue. If it's vital for the restaurant to host a full sized band, then at least pass out ear plugs to people who need them so they can enjoy their food.

Came here because my guy friends wanted to see the girls, listen to music and eat some mariscos. This place is decent. Our waitress took care of us and the food was pretty good. Fell in love with the San Pedro dish.

After our party of six chatted over cocktails and preyed on pupus, we moved to a "secret" room tucked in the back of Stowaway and walked into a Belly Of The Beast. The founders and co-owners of Stowaway, Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, created this extension to the tiki bar with a wildly interesting Pinocchio theme and the famed encounter with Monstro the whale all the while serving the same offerings in Stowaway but with also an exclusive limited menu just for this adventure. With its proximity to Disneyland and its Enchanted Tiki Room, with the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture they found a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, tropical trimmings, and nostalgic know-how. How would my belly handle the beastly drinks concocted here!? PURCHASE(S) Gepetto's Last Words ($16.00): Intrigued by the cocktail's name, this elixir was crafted with Fid Street Gin, tangerine, creme de violette, lemon, and cucumber, it was a citrusy refreshing sweet drink that was decorated with bright yellow petals. It was nice, but for whatever reason it just didn't quite hit the spot. [ONION RINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT - 4.0 of 5.0 STARS] Onion Rings ($9.00): A decent portion with rings of medium to large sizes, these were hot, dark golden browned, crunchy, and had a slight tendency to crumble when bitten into while the onion ring (sweet Maui!) rarely pulled out at times. They were lightly oily while the catsup wasn't needed but used. SERVICE While in Stowaway, we informed our male server to let us know when we were allowed to enter the belly. Once inside and situated, we had the place and bartender to ourselves. After we all perused the menu, we placed our orders, and everything arrived within ten minutes. The rest of the time was spent chatting, picture taking, and our bartender checked in on us also giving a Dole Whip taster. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE "Hidden" inside Stowaway which was located within a strip mall, the entire theme was based on the Pinocchio story, the interlude in time spent inside Monstro, and as we entered it felt like the beginning of the Disneyland "Storybook" ride as you road a canal boat into the mouth and sharp teet of a whale. There were several marionettes (appropriate and non-appropriate) that hung from the ceiling and belly walls, along with other Disneyesque memorabilia, a few sitting booths, and a tiny bar at the end of the roo. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights and table candles glowed. There were no TVs while I couldn't recall any background music. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL Belly Of The Beast was an adventurous fun evening with friends, it left me feeling childlike with the need to watch "Pinocchio", and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I generally loved all-things Disneyana, and this new wrinkle, albeit probably not approved by the mouse ears brass, caught my fancy. My one drink was tasty but just didn't hit the right spot, the onion rings were very good, the prices were a tad elevated, the atmosphere was awesome, and the service was friendly and professional. They had an extremely limited menu, and there was some doubt whether or not ordering from the Stowaway menu was an option. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $27.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Halfway through, they decided to switch the main TV and all the audio over to a Kid Rock special instead. It felt unnecessarily political and completely ruined the experience for me and many others who ended up leaving because of it. I don't care what the owner's personal views are, but a sports bar should be for watching the game, not for pushing an agenda or cutting off a major event. Note on the staff: I want to make sure the staff isn't blamed for this. I've been coming here off and on for 5 years, and the bartenders have always been excellent. This review is solely about the decision to change the broadcast mid-game, which I didn't enjoy. The employees themselves do a great job and are the reason I had been a customer for so long.
