Costa Azul. Bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with cheese. Comes with white rice and a salad

Authentic Nayarit seafood dishes. The place is not aesthetically modern but it does contain a lot of cultural decor. This place is popular amongst the locals. Sometimes chirrines come in to play. Cash only the do have an onsite. I believe you can also bring in your own alcoholic beverages don't quote me though. Service has always been good for us. They make sure we have gotten everything we ordered and in timely manner. Come check it out

Food was very basic, came here because it's byob and I was told they have live music. There was no music when we went and there were very little tables to sit at, luckily it was dead, we stayed only because we had already bought a 12pk of beer. Nothing memorable, maybe it's because of the Covid regulations, idk if I would ever feel the need to return.

    Fly in the caldo

Customer service is horrible. I bought 3 caldos here and some empanadas to go. The total was more than $ 80. One of the caldos had a fly in it . I had delivered this caldo to my brother. When I called the restaurant. The front lady Said she would only replace it, if a brought the caldo back. " because the owner would want to see it" Instead, of being apologetic about the situation. She was annoyed, and dismissive. I had to drive back to my brothers home, then drive back to the restaurant to take the caldo to her. Then, she rudely gave me a new one, acting as if this was an inconvenience to her.

First time here and food wasnt good at all its all spicy with no flavor to it, didnt even enjoy the food, i ordered the ceviche rojo de camaron and my husband ordered a coctel de camaron he kept adding tapatio, ketchup, and salt just to get a flavor! Not coming back at all.

It is definitely not fancy but great seafood if you order the "langostinos" al mojo de ajo! They are really good just consider that the order takes about 15-20 minutes to cook .... So call ahead if you are in a hurry ! They have Tvs so it's great whenever there is a soccer game on ;)

Out of the appetizers, the sprouts was the one that surprised me the most. The bacon and seasoning complement the baked Brussels sprouts perfectly. The calamari was whatever, I felt it was too battery for my personal liking but my friend loved it. The oysters were smaller than what I usually get from other restaurant but it still hit the spot. The entree was amazing and the jambalaya has quite a kick to it even when I ordered it at medium heat. There was plenty of shrimp, mussels, sausages, and protein in the pasta and rice dish. Parking in the plaza was atrocious because it is a busy plaza with a gym and other amazing restaurants and quick bites. Can't wait to stop by again.

The environment is family-friendly, with several tables occupied by kids and families. Just be aware that the music and overall noise level are fairly loud. Service was attentive and they checked up on us regularly. We ordered 2 dozen oysters ($1.50 each), the fish and chips ($11.50), mussels and clams ($10.50), and a beer. The oysters were fresh, mostly clean, and came with the usual accompaniments. My only minor complaint is that small seafood forks would have been nice to have available. The mussels and clams were the disappointment of the meal. While the broth itself was flavorful, the portion was downright sad. We received only 4 mussels and 4 clams total, and the bowl felt almost empty. The standout was definitely the fish and chips. Dare I say the best fish and chips I've ever had? The batter was well-seasoned without being overly salty. The fish was crispy, hot, flaky, and surprisingly not too greasy. The fries were also excellent, with a crunchy exterior and fluffy, mashed potato-like interior. I would absolutely order this again. Overall, for happy hour, come for the fresh oysters and fish and chips. Skip the embarrassingly skimpy bowl of mussels and clams.

We started with the oyster sampler featuring selections from Hollywood, MD; Pope's Bay, VA; Buzzards Bay, MA; Chesapeake Bay, VA; and Wellfleet, MA. The oysters were exceptionally fresh and served with great accompaniments. We always order oysters when visiting seafood restaurants because freshness is so important to us, and Water Grill absolutely delivered. A must-order. The grilled Spanish octopus, served with fingerling potatoes, Niçoise olives, roasted tomato, pine nuts, and olive oil, was very good (3.5/5). We're fairly picky when it comes to octopus, and while we would have liked a bit more char, it was still among the better versions we've had. The New Zealand king salmon sushi with avocado, hazelnuts, papaya, and white soy-lime vinaigrette was fresh, clean, and delicious (5/5). While not particularly unique, it was executed perfectly. The crispy calamari with harissa aioli and cilantro-mint sweet chili sauce was also well done (4/5)--crispy, not oily, and very enjoyable. Calamari is another dish we frequently order, and this version met our standards, even if it wasn't especially memorable. The standout among the appetizers was the New Zealand pink bream ceviche with cilantro, red peppers, onions, lemon juice, and olive oil. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were incredibly fresh (5/5). We only added a touch of salt. This is another must-order dish. The Peruvian bay scallops with pistachio citrus pesto were somewhat underwhelming (3/5), and the Brussels sprouts with bacon and chestnuts (3/5) didn't leave much of an impression either. The lobster itself was excellent (5/5)--sweet, fresh, and perfectly prepared. The accompanying coleslaw wasn't our favorite, but we'd happily order the lobster again and probably go for a larger portion next time. The absolute star of the evening was the Massachusetts black sea bass. It was easily one of the best dishes of the night and possibly one of the best fish dishes we've ever had at a restaurant (5/5). Tender, juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. To top it all off, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary birthday dessert featuring chocolate cake, vanilla cake, oatmeal cake, and ice cream. It was thoughtful, delicious, and a wonderful ending to the meal (5/5). Overall, Water Grill earns a well-deserved 5/5. The quality and freshness of the seafood were outstanding, the beachfront ambiance was beautiful, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Definitely a must-try seafood destination in Los Angeles. Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable experience--we truly appreciated it.

Turns out Yelp was having a moment of brilliance. We rolled in with a full-on clan of 14 hungry young adults, and somehow everyone left happy, full, and already talking about what they'd order next time. Our table was stacked with garlic string beans, walnutshrimp, special fried rice, French beef and Lobster with pan-fried noodles. The shrimp was a crowd favorite, the noodles were loaded with flavor, and even the string beans earned plenty of compliments. My only tiny critique is that for me the walnut shrimp was a bit more breaded than I personally like, but that's a minor speed bump in an otherwise fantastic meal. Pro tip: ask them to bring the rice out first. The dishes are packed with bold, rich flavors, and having a bowl of rice ready lets you soak up every last delicious bite without feeling like you've gone ten rounds with a sodium ninja. The service was outstanding too; our servers teamed up and handled our group of 14 like pros, stayed attentive throughout the night, and never missed a beat. We separated the youngins and OGs in two close tables. We arrived about 3 hours before their 11 p.m. closing time on a busy Saturday, yet nobody made us feel rushed. It took 45 min to be seated and we stayed to closing. Er had so much fun in this VIP experience. The restaurant itself is spacious, tucked into a shopping center with plenty of parking, making it an easy choice for groups big or small. If Kim Tar can keep 14 people fed, smiling, and agreeing on dinner, that's practically a miracle. I'll definitely be back for another feast. Next time I'll have the 3 pound lobster just for me!
