Cashier was not very nice when I placed the order. However the food was good and made when ordered. They do go light on the hot sauce.. Not sure I will go back.

Been coming here for a few months now, the customer service is amazing. Parking is limited but it's never packed. It's a cute little spot in the corner. I love coming here. I always get the fish tacos!! And the tostada de ceviche fish. Definitely a good quick to go lunch spot. Will keep coming.

I was looking for a mariscos place close to my house. So of course, through a trusty Yelp search, I found this place! It's a small shack on the corner of Beverly and Hay. They have a few tables on the side so you can eat there. We ordered a lot of different items so we could try them. It's owned by a mom and son. And when we got there, it was just the mom by herself. She doesn't speak a lot of English so we were having some trouble understanding each other. But she was so sweet. So that we could understand, she gave us some samples. And that only made us want to try more items. We got 2 fish tacos, 1 shrimp taco, 1 dorados taco, aguachile, shrimp and jaiva tostadas, octopus cocktail and mixed cocktail. Everything was so good. As she was preparing our order, her son came back and she mentioned that he speaks English. He shared with us that they had opened a little over a year and half ago and that business slowly getting more steady. We noticed that they were busy as we were waiting for our order, which is always a good thing. But I'll definitely be coming back since it was very good. And even though there was a language barrier, they still gave excellent service. I always like to support family owned businesses so I'll be back.

Where do I start? This place is very small, they do have an outdoor patio area and it's very well kept and clean. Service was amazing and very friendly. They have very fair prices and more importantly super fresh ingredients. They put their special twist on all of the favorites you get at other marisco spots and they got it right. They have hands down the best aguachile verde! Best in L.A.! Come down and check it out for yourself, I am not embellishing. They have daily special min-thurs. Yup taco Tuesday! Half price fish taco! Found my new favorite marisco spot in LA.

Woo! Gah Damn!! We were craving ceviche and found this spot on Yelp We had the Ceviche Mixta. The plate makes 3 loaded tostadas. This was served with limes and a special in-house salsa, a red hot sauce that is the perfect amount of spice, chef's kiss. In addition to the delicious food, the hospitality was warm, friendly and welcoming. Mom and son owned business that opened 2 years ago. Mom was in the back throwing down! The ambiance was chill. They have a small shaded seating area with pretty tables. We took our food to-go. Best ceviche I've ever had. We will definitely be coming back for more mariscos

I had 1 of each on the taco menu. Rock solid and damn satisfying

The mac and potato salads were super creamy, savory, flavorful, and soft. The apples in cream were crunchy, not too sweet, and had bits of crunchy pecans and soft raisins inside too. The pineapple orange coconut salad was pretty much just pineapple orange and coconut shreds. The arroz con leche had plenty of warm christmasy spiced flaves but the texture was not for me. The dulce de leche empanada reminded me of a pecan tart with a flakey buttery crust and nutty filling. The corn cake was like a denser cornbread with a little strawberry jam in the middle. But now for the tortas which came on pillowy, chewy, soft, sourdoughy, ciabatta bread and the California one came with some juicy savory thin chicken pieces, lettuce, and avocado while the molcajete one came with some meaty beef, smooth beans, a bit spicy salsa, and cheese. It can get a bit pricey but flaves, vibes, and people make it still lowkey pretty good. Molcajete torta $19.83 California torta $19.02 Dulce de leche empanada $3.94 Arroz con leche $2.49 Corn cake $2.60

The kanpachi tostada was also great, and the uni with scallop was a nice pairing. Fish tacos were good but not as memorable as the raw dishes. Also tried the smoked kanpachi taco but again not outstanding compared to the raw seafood. Their sauces were also good but spicy! The light brown one had a unique flavor to it and was my favorite but also the spiciest so be aware. Price - On the higher end as expected from a Michelin 1 star, but the quality on the raw dishes justifies it. Wouldn't say every dish is worth the price, but most of them were good. Ambience - This is a food hall setup, you order at the counter, get a number, and they'll bring your food to you. Lines can get long, especially since it seems busy most days now. If the wait isn't worth it, there are other solid-looking vendors in the same food hall to check out. Parking - Small paid lot on site, or street parking nearby. It's also next to a DMV in which you can park after 6pm-ish (would double check the signs)

Don't forget to take a picture by the "Cinco Puntos" sign on the wall and the well-known tree nearby! The food was edible, I ordered a carnitas taco with chicharrón. The meat itself was flavorful, chicharron nice and crunchy and I liked that you get to choose your own toppings. The tortillas are handmade, which many people will appreciate, although they were a little thicker than I personally prefer. If you enjoy authentic, handmade tortillas, this place may be more your style. The service was the highlight of our visit. Everyone was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and kind. It was an extremely hot day, and one of the ladies even gave my daughter a small bag of ice to play with and cool off, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Thank you for going the extra mile. There is a small parking lot, and we were able to find street parking right in front near the outdoor tables. The outside seating area was perfectly fine for enjoying our meal. The biggest downside for me was the cleanliness inside the restaurant. While nothing prevented us from eating there, I felt the interior could really benefit from a deep cleaning. Overall, I'm glad we visited and experienced such a well-known East L.A. landmark. While I probably wouldn't return because it wasn't quite my personal preference, I can still recommend it to anyone looking for authentic carnitas, handmade tortillas, and a piece of East Los Angeles history.
