Mac & cheese with Salad kid's menu

A MUST-STOP in Pismo Beach! We stopped by here for a late lunch on our way up north to Morro Bay, and it was the best decision ever! We originally planned to just order a few light things since we had dinner plans later, but oh my goodness... that small order turned into a feast! I honestly think we accidentally ordered the BEST OF THE BEST on their menu! Erik was also friendly and helpful with us trying to figure out what to order! Their Clam Chowder was absolutely AMAZING--so delicious that we ended up ordering two bowls of it! We also got two carnitas tacos, which were wonderfully delicious. Even the kids' mac n cheese with a side salad was yummy!!! They have a really great selection for the kids' menu! To top it all off, the drinks were strong but delicious--you just can't beat that! Amazing views, delicious food, and great drinks. We walked out so happy and incredibly full! If you are ever driving through Pismo Beach, this is an absolute must-stop for lunch!

On our way to Cambria my family and I stopped by to have a light lunch. What a beautiful place. The view is incredible overlooking the ocean. Seating outside on the patio was perfect on this sunny day in Pismo Beach. We walked in and were greeted with a smile. The hostess seated us within ten minutes. The waiter was friendly and attentive. I ordered an iced cold spritz which was so delicious. I enjoyed every sip. We ordered three starters to share with our drinks. Wings, ahi tuna and guacamole. Very average food. Nothing crazy delicious and not bad either. The ambiance was great so we enjoyed our starters and drinks ... overall beautiful oceanfront restaurant right next to the hotel.

Located next to dolphin Bay, in Shell Beach, is the Cliffs Hotel and Marisol restaurant. I've been going to Marisol for years, but never for brunch. It was awesome. The ambience can't get any better with being right on the ocean looking off a cliff. The service was good, nothing to complain about. We ordered mimosas, cappuccino's, and I ordered the eggs Benedict with homestyle fries. The mimosa was beautiful not too much orange juice, perfect balance. The cappuccino was delicious. Could've been a little hotter obviously it probably sat just for a little bit. Deep rich flavors, nice hint of cocoa and that deep rich coffee taste. And my eggs Benedict were just awesome. Perfectly cooked, with the yolk still runny, but not too runny in the middle. The hollandaise sauce was beautiful perfect consistency. Great taste. The homestyle fries/potatoes were perfectly cooked. They were cooked right to the borderline of crispiness and softness they were also perfectly seasoned. *Overall, I'm slapping myself for never coming to brunch!*

Our lunch experience at Marísol was fantastic. If you're unsure what to order, a phenomenal server like Andrew S is always valuable. I was very impressed with the Shell Beach Spritz cocktail that Andrew S recommended. It was not only beautiful to look at, but also delicious. We tried the Cliff's prime burger, the garden omelet, the lamb, the bagel & smoked salmon, and the French toast with three drinks. Each dish was wonderful. My husband and I particularly enjoyed the lamb lollipops and the brûléed banana French toast the most. The bacon accompaniment with the French toast is probably the best in the world. It was crisp and the high-quality meat was perfectly cooked. My husband praised it highly. All in all, this restaurant offers a stunning ocean view and excellent food. The friendly and attentive service team made our dining experience memorable. My mother-in-law was very satisfied with her complimentary surprise birthday cake with a candle.

Mediocre service today. Everything went horribly slow and we were barely checked on. I overheard someone say they were understaffed so hopefully this was just a fluke but I've never had service this bad at the Cliffs and it wasn't busy at all. Hope they can get back to what they were....

We came here two times as we stayed at the hotel. Enjoyed drinks on our first day and later came for dinner. We came in for drinks when we were waiting for our room to be ready. They give you some delicious corn nuts with Tajín and lime. So yummy! For dinner we had lettuce wraps which were pretty good. The chicken tinga flautas were ok. When I saw Tinga for me I was expecting a chipotle flavored chicken but it was just chicken not bad just not what tinga I know is. Good portion and nice addition with the pickled onions. It is a bit on the pricier side for the food. They have some happy hour items we didn't get to try but looked good. We will deff try other items when we come back. The spritzer was the best drink. The margarita didn't have a lot of flavor just strong alcohol which not complaining just not what I was expecting. Service was good at the bar and in the dining area. It wasn't ever too busy which was nice as it was pretty relaxing to sit and enjoy the nice view.

On a recent staycation, we went in search of dig friendly breakfast places. Not only does Marisol have a dog friendly patio, they have a menu of items for your furry friends. Our pups thoroughly enjoyed sharing a beef & rice dish. I am a lover of sweet breakfast options and they have a French toast dish reminiscent of bananas Foster, with bruleed bananas. The dish came with sausage--it was all delicious!! My husband loved his traditional egg and bacon breakfast, and commented on really liking getting a side dish of condiments (jam, butter, catsup, etc). Staff were very friendly and treated us (and our dogs) very well. The views of the ocean from our patio seating could not be beat. We will definitely be back!!

Filet mignon burrito, very refried bean heavy. Under seasoned

Not great at all. The 2 stars are for the view, beautiful view of the ocean outside. However it can definitely get cold. Food is below average. The filet mignon breakfast burrito, all you taste is refried beans. Very bland, needed way more seasoning. The special halibut fish and chips came with a super weird horse-radish flavored salsa, I was not expecting that. Also came with a pico de gallo. Hard to try and scoop salsas with fish and chips. They also originally brought out fish tacos when she ordered fish and chips so the fiancé had to wait for her food to be fixed. The drinks were forgot about, I asked for them after the food finally came out. The Bloody Mary was a 4/10, not good. Our server came once every 20 minutes, if that. I kept bothering Lance from another table, he really helped us out. Only good thing was the bacon. Would not return.

Came here for the Valentine's dinner special. It was $125 per person for a five course meal (but it really felt like it was 3.5 course meal). For the first course, I got the oysters (disappointed that it was only 3 pieces and they were really small). Next was a small bite to enhance the taste of the entrée meal which was a filet mignon. The filet mignon was really good, I've got to give them that. Then we were given sorbet which was delicious but again small portion. The last course was a dessert buffet, that was great. Enjoyed most of the desserts! We also ordered drinks. Another thing was that, our waiter offered us coffees without mentioning that it was extra cost and we thought it was complimentary given the way he was offering it. Nonetheless, it was a good experience, but wouldn't go back.

    Carnitas tacos
    Audrey E.

I was here on a work trip, and we stayed here. The restaurant is situated on the cliffs and is part of the Cliff's hotel. So the views here are absolutely breathtaking. We ordered carnitas tacos and steak chilaquiles and both dishes were absolutely delicious and bursting with flavors. The steak was cooked to perfection and the carnitas were moist and tender! Highly recommend these dishes! Our waiter was amazing, he was helpful, tentative, and efficient. He suggested the steak versus the shrimp that comes with the chilaquiles. He also brought us a side of jalapeños, salsa, and hot sauce without us requesting for it which was pretty impressive because that was very thoughtful. He also brought out two complimentary shortbread cookies!! That definitely made our experience even better! Highly recommend Marisol if you are ever in Pismo Beach!

    Rose for Mother's Day

For Mother's Day Brunch, they gave all the moms a rose! My husband made a reservation here to celebrate and we had a great view of the ocean at the patio. I ordered their special on the menu that had lobster on it! Service was friendly. I had a very great brunch and can't wait to come back! Don't forget to walk down to the tide pools that is next to the resort.

Have you revived your impressive brunch buffet/ all you can eat? If so what days and hours and cost?

Hello Mimi! We have a weekend Brunch, but not a buffet. We are planning an Easter Buffet Brunch on the lawn though!

Is reservation required and can we request to be outdoor by the lawn area since we have a dog?

Reservations are not required but are recommended. We serve on our restaurant patio, overlooking the lawn, but we don't serve on the lawn. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio.…

Is happy hour back? I saw on instagram you were voted for best happy hour but I don't see a menu.

Hello Katie! We are working on a new Happy Hour offering now. We will post on IG when it is updated and available, would love to have you join us!…

Can I still get the happy hour prices if I order take out?

Thank you for asking, Eunike ~ unfortunately, we only offer our Happy hour pricing while dining in the lounge. Hope we will see you here!

It was a bit difficult finding the restaurant itself but we finally found it and the view overlooking the area was gorgeous. We had specifically requested outdoor seating to see the sunset. However when we got our seats, we were far away from that view and instead our view was the swimming pool and people running around with their bathing suits. Not only that, but our table was misaligned so it would move side to side whenever someone places something on one side. Overall, we were very unhappy because when we made the reservation, we specified that we wanted a good view. After much discussion, the manager noticed our frustrations and we got a good seat where the sunset was. We finally sat down and ordered some dishes. We ordered the following: - crab cakes - chicken - barramundi & grilled shrimp - salmon - fillet mignon - lobster - bread & butter * *It came with bread as an appetizer. The bread was too salty and what was worse was that there was an ant that crawled on my dad's bread. When consulting the waiter about it, she jsut looked at us deadly and said, "so what do you want me to do about it?" The natural response would be to get us another bread but we just ended up sitting there for five minutes as the ant kept crawling on the bread. Overall the food was not too salty, but the lobster was a tad dry and hard while everything else was okay. The poor customer experience left us not feeling satisfied but we appreciated the managers response to the seating.
