Came here for breakfast after a local event. Place was crowded but we were seated quickly. We got our drinks and ordered our breakfast, and within 5 minutes they were ready. Portions were big and very very tasty! I got the Texas Hash-brown breakfast and it was more than enough! Eggs were perfectly done and hash browns were mixed with sliced ham and onion with cheese on top. I ate it all! My daughter got a Kids Omelette and it was big as well! For those who don't like greasy food, you may not like some of the dishes. For those that do, it's a must come and try place!

I love these small town independents...always seem to have a few surprises on the menu. Located about 10 minutes south of K-zoo, Marjo's is Schoolcraft's only alternative to McDonalds for a hot breakfast early in the morning. I stopped in before sunrise while traveling on business and was really pleased with the small town hospitality and the great food and service. I loved the unique touch of the "coin machines" (see pic) just inside the front door. I've found that rural Michigan/Indiana are some of the few locales where you can still find these novelties of a bygone era. I chose the B'fast Special #2...the open faced, grilled bagel bread squares, Canadian bacon, 2 scrambled with melted Swiss and a mountain of hashbrowns. This was a really delicious and filling treat while opening my eyes with a hot cup of Joe. Marjo's lived up to my highest expectations. I'll be coming back for Special #1 on my next visit.

One of my all time favorites for breakfast. Speedy service and the best early bird food around.

We put in our drinks in and weren't sure what we wanted and asked for a few minutes. She returned to give us our drinks, which she also messed up on bc she couldn't remember what we asked for and we were still unsure what we wanted so we put in our kids order. She came back again and got our order. Then she just disappeared. You couldn't flag her attention one bit. Our drinks were empty, still couldn't flag her down. Finally the food came out but not like we had ordered. Like stated above we put in our children's order since they were hungry and we were still unsure. Yet all the food came out at the same time. Not only that but we asked for our eggs over hard and when they came to us they were over easy, simple mistake that can be fixed right? Nope, the person cooking loudly said, "you can't cook these any harder." Wow, well I'm sorry but they were clearly overeasy and my autistic niece is very particular about not having runny eggs. Our waitress was hardly around still and after that we got the check bc they had also forgot our bacon. No apologies or anything for the mistakes. Definitely won't be back. So rude. Paying over 70 for that and the kids were still hungry.

You are invited to place your order at the counter and then find a seat while you wait for your meal to be brought out. My husband ordered an omelet. It was a special for the day. I went with the corned beef hash breakfast plate. The omelet my husband ordered was very plain. Sparse ingredients and he noticed a plate being placed in a microwave, seemingly to melt the cheese. This is not something we love to see. The omelet also did not include hash-browns, which was not specified. In our opinion the price point would have been better represented with the addition of some breakfast potatoes, alongside! :) My corned beef plate was very tasty!! It came with corned beef, two eggs, breakfast potatoes and delicious toast! We also enjoyed fresh jam - request this if it's not offered to you as they have regular, pre-packaged smuckers on the table, but fresh jam in the cooler! :) The staff were all super kind and helpful! This is a very cute spot - we need more spots like this around our local cute towns!

Inside is a vintage, home town feel with Vicksburg posters of sports teams on the walls, some corner TV's and sparse St. Patty's Day decorations. Our waiter was Nick, soon to buy out his father and become owner of the whole restaurant! He has worked his way up from dishwasher, cook, waiter, front of house and is now being taught the art of pie making by one of his long time pastry ladies. Nick says everything is good on the menu, especially the breakfast. My mom ordered a kielbasa scramble with onions, green peppers etc. she loved it. I went for the eggs Benedict Florentine. So good! Great hollandaise sauce that did not split and had just the right edge of mustard to sharpen the flavors. Delicious! We finished with some homemade pies with decaf coffee. Very happy we stopped and enjoyed a meal. Thanks Nick! We wish you and your restaurant all the best.
