We chose Mark Brower Properties, as our real estate professional based on recommendations from relatives that had used his company for purchasing homes and managing rental property in the Mesa, AZ area. Home Selection We began looking for a resale home in September 2018. We currently live in Atlanta, GA and had scheduled a 1-week trip to AZ to look at resales. Our intent was to just see what was available in the price range that we wanted to stay in. Sherry de Jonge was the realtor that work's with Mark Brower Properties, and we couldn't have had a better person. Sherry is a very knowledgeable person and extremely easy to work with and provided us with numerous homes to look at in the areas/price range we were looking for. Within 2-3 days of looking we did not see anything we liked and began looking at new homes. After a day or two of looking at new homes we decided on a builder and now had to wonder how we were going to manage a 10 month build with us living in GA. Build Process Having selected Mark Brower Properties made this decision not as daunting as we thought. Once the building process began, Sherry was our eyes and ears from the start. She provided pictures, videos or whatever we needed or asked for. Sherry also help tremendously in finding a certified inspector that could provide detailed reports at certain stages of the build (pre-drywall and final inspections). This was extremely important to have peace of mind that the construction was where it should be at those stages and that the work was performed per code. With Sherry vast experience, she provided invaluable information along that way. Once the home was completed and we travelled to AZ for closing, Sherry stayed with us along the way helping us get through the home walk-thru. With no experience in building a home, we counted on Sherry's experience when it came time to do the walk-thru with the builder and finding any issues that needed to be corrected. The landscaping was in process after we have gone back to GA, and Sherry was extremely helping again for being our eyes and ears. This is something that I doubt most realtors would help with. Property Management Since we were not going to move into the house immediately and needing to lease our new home for a least one year, having Mark Brower Properties already involved made this process very easy. Their vetting process is very thorough to ensure the right family is living in our new home. The people that we work with, Richard Shoap, Laura Henderson, and Meagan Brower, are all experienced and well qualified in managing properties and are terrific to work with. Since we have not used a property management company before, we have a lot of questions and they are always quick to respond to ensure that the tenant is well taken care of. With a new house there are always things that come up, and they help us to ensure the tenant is not regretting taking on this additional responsibility. We have met with Mark Brower himself on numerous occasions, during this whole process, and couldn't ask for a more down to earth, easy to talk to person. He provided us with valuable information on what to expect when looking for resales and if we decided to build a new home, so hardly anything was a surprise. I know that this is a very lengthy review, but using Mark Brower Properties was a one stop shop that I would highly recommend if you are looking for investing in property in AZ. Working with Mark and his team at Mark Brower Properties has been a wonderful experience. I was a homeowner in South Phoenix, and when I moved out of state, I tried to do the property management on my own. I had a disastrous experience and realized I needed to have a professional take care of this for me. I met with Mark at his office and knew immediately he was the right guy for me. My husband and I rented a Condominium for almost 8 years that was managed by Mark Brower Properties. His staff was always very prompt with anything I needed or asked them, and they always got right back to me if they needed to check on something with Mark or one of the other staff members, or if it was Terri or Stephanie they would transfer me right over! If there was a problem with something not working properly, I had a number to call, and there was never a question about service, For example, there was a noise in the washing machine and within several hours, someone was out to the house, felt that it was not cost effective to fix it so he called the lady that took care of the repairs etc., she called the owner of our condo to get the okay, and before I knew it, the service man was back with a brand new washer and dryer, the latest model that opened from the side and that way they matched! It worked that way with anything that they replaced. Several months ago, they came out about the air conditioner as It was holding the cold. I thought maybe some more Freon, but the man made a call and he said that we were getting a new Air Conditioner Unit. I was amazed by that as that was the first problem we had with it in many years. Mark had given us his card the first time we met him when he met us here to go over the paperwork and get our deposit! We never bothered him, but it was nice that we had it in case of an Emergency. Mark Brower and his team are definitely 5 Star Service! He managed a property I owned for about 3 years. Before I hired him, I spent 2 weeks calling everyone in town. I first was intrigued by his price point, but what sold me was his streamlined one stop shop for anything real estate related. You may find someone cheaper but, Mark brings a big tool box to handle your property situation. They found quality tenants, maximized the price of rent, took care of the yard & the pool, and collected rent every month. You're able to monitor everything that happens at the property online from their website. Rent, service invoices etc. I never had to worry about a thing. Mark is a family man and it felt like my uncle was handling things. He personally was always 1 phone call away & I think we still have a great relationship. Doing your due diligence is vital and I am someone who leveraged every avenue, review and website to hire Mark Brower Properties to oversee our property. What an experience it was working with and being a tenant under Mark Brower Properties. My name is Aaron and I have lived with the same guys for years. Dealing with many property management companies and homeowners that were manage the property themselves. This past year, renting a home through Mark Brower Properties, has been the most professional and easy going experience. We have been renting a Mark Brower property for the last two years and I have to say they have been outstanding to work with! We have been renting for 10 years total and Mark Brower has exceeded all of the other property managers by about 100 miles! They are super easy to work with! From the renting process, maintenance, and everything in between, they have been terrific! Our AC went out in July and they were on it even in the middle of the night. If I ever have a house I need to rent, I will definitely be calling Mark Brower Properties first to manage it for us. The property we rented was not in the best of shape when we moved in and we recorded all of it in the paperwork. I hired Mark and his team approximately 5 years ago and I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. Maybe my procrastination is a clue as to why I need a property manager. I have had one single family home in San Tan Valley under Mark Brower Property Management for about 3 years. They have always been easy to get in contact with, and very professional. Mark has been managing a couple of our rental properties for close to two years now. Our rental properties are in Salt Lake City, and even though he is in Arizona, he manages them as if they were his own. He takes care of problems immediately and professionally.
