9 minutes ago New Extremely disappointing experience with Mark Kia. It has been over two weeks since I purchased my vehicle, and I still do not have possession of it or a clear status on when it will be completed. I have spent 12+ hours at the dealership attempting to resolve these issues, along with unanswered calls, emails, and repeated attempts to get updates. I have been left in the dark throughout much of this process and have received inconsistent or misleading information. I was also promised a rental vehicle, which was never provided, and no meaningful attempt has been made to assist me with alternative transportation. What makes this situation even more concerning is that I have never been able to properly drive the vehicle beyond the surrounding side streets. On multiple visits, the vehicle has either been blocked in or otherwise unavailable to drive. I still have not had the opportunity to inspect the completed body work, which I was assured would be repaired to a factory-quality standard. The current dispute is over the tires. After purchasing the vehicle, the dealership confirmed in writing via text that the tires would be replaced with the same tires the vehicle was purchased with. I was later told they had already spent too much getting the vehicle "safe" to provide those tires. The store manager ultimately told me to hire an attorney if I wanted them to honor that commitment. I am not asking to cancel or unwind the transaction. I simply want the vehicle I purchased, with the agreed tires and the work completed as promised. My loan has already been fully funded, the dealership has been paid, and I am accruing interest on a vehicle I still do not have. At this point, it feels as though once the dealership received its money, the urgency to complete the vehicle and communicate with me disappeared. I have made repeated good-faith attempts to resolve this directly. I simply want Mark Kia to honor what was agreed upon and deliver the vehicle I purchased.

Rene was awesome! He is the best car salesman I've ever had. He was super authentic not pushy. Helped me find the right truck for me! The worship music was awesome. It creates an inviting environment. I'll be going back to buy another car from Rene probably this week.

$50,000 purchase with water spots alllllll over the vehicle. Mark Kia sold us a vehicle with water spots on the entire vehicle. As anyone knows, you cannot see water spots at first glance. It takes different shades of light or angles to hit the vehicle to reveal the water spots. Also, when you purchase a brand new vehicle, you trust the dealership does not sell you a vehicle with water spots all over it. I reached out to our sales person, who I won't name, because I do give him a good review and two other people reached out to me. Shane reached out to me but stopped answering. Then Brian, the general sales manager, also reached out to me. As he did explain other issues we had with the dealership and cleared those up, he did not provide a resolution for us for the water spots. He first said we should get the brand new vehicle acid washed, which he claimed is $75-100. After doing some research and talking to multiple car detailers, they told me they would definitely not acid wash a brand new vehicle. I would not leave a bad review over a $75 fix, trust me. This may be my first bad review I have ever given. I called 5 local detail shops. The average price to remove the water spots average around $400-500. I was told by Brian the 5 detail shops I called over charging me. Could they have? Maybe? But I got an average price to better show Brian what the water spots were going to cost to fix it. We did buy the vehicle 2 months ago and I did try myself to remove the water spots multiple times. I was giving the car dealership the benefit of the doubt in not contacting them and trying to remove the water spots myself. I did remove some, but the majority did not come off after around 5 attempts. We do live 363 miles away from the dealership, so taking it to the dealership is not an option (out of town buyers especially beware of this dealership). Brian offered to pay for my gas and to take the vehicle and add 726 more miles on the vehicle to fix the water spots. We could not come to a resolution to fix the water spots or to provide an accessory to recoup the cost and time the water spots have caused. So we bought a $50,000 vehicle with water spots which Brian admitted to having extremely hard water in Scottsdale. Buyers beware. This is a big dealership. The dealership doesn't offer better deals. I regret going here and should've bought the same vehicle in Tucson. Out of town buyers, especially beware. This is a numbers dealership. They see you as a number and a sale, nothing else. I would not leave a bad review if this was a simple, easy, cheap fix. I also would not leave a review if it was an item that was cheap. I have had many dealings with many dealerships and this is the first dealership I would not recommend. In all reality, this review may not even affect them. I do hope this allows others to see the way they conduct business and to be wary of choosing them to purchase a vehicle. As I see on yelp, this business has a horrible track record. Stay away.

Thomas created such an incredible experience for us at Mark Kia! He was never pushy, answered questions honestly, and even asked us questions to truly take a consultative approach to helping us find the right vehicle. He took time to get to know us personally and always acted with the upmost professionalism. Couldn't recommend him enough to make this daunting process more seamless! Also shoutout to Max in finance for breaking down numbers easily and making sure we felt confident through every step. 10/10 going to be seeing these guys every time it's time for a new car.

My experience with **Mark Kia** began on a hopeful note--helping my girlfriend purchase a vehicle--and ended as a lesson in how a simple transaction can become unnecessarily complicated. We arrived Saturday around 3:30 PM and were told, for the first time, the vehicle was being detailed. Our salesperson, John, was friendly and professional. We test drove the car for 20-30 minutes, agreed on price, and were assured that although the dealership was "busy," finance wouldn't take long. "Not long" turned into roughly ninety minutes. Once we mentioned our three-hour drive home and firm 6:30 PM departure, finance became available almost immediately. At the same time, the vehicle disappeared and we were told--again--it was being detailed. We were also each separately promised a complimentary full tank of gas. In finance, Brock informed us that AZOne--where we had a guaranteed 6.8% pre-approval--was "a terrible company to deal with," and that the finance department receives certain "credits" for placing loans with other lenders. He offered to search for a better rate. We made it clear we were open to alternatives, provided the rate was the same or lower than 6.8%. Pressed for time, we left a $7,500 down payment and were allowed to take the vehicle with paperwork to follow. We were told it was ready and filled with gas. The dashboard showed 41 miles to empty. When I attempted to address this, both John and Brock were unavailable, so I advised the receptionist we would cover the fuel ourselves. Sunday passed with no communication. Late Monday (Presidents Day), my girlfriend received a call stating they had "tried everyone" and secured the best possible rate: 7.8%, described as "just $11 more per month"--roughly $900 over the life of the loan. There was no indication AZOne had been contacted. We were simply told paperwork would be sent. When I called to question why a higher rate was being presented despite documented pre-approval, the response was defensive. We were told letters like ours are "not a guarantee" and that rates "always go up" once submitted. I suggested waiting until Tuesday, when AZOne reopened, to verify the rate directly. This was treated as unreasonable. We were reminded the dealership had a vehicle off the lot "with no contract," and that letting us leave with $7,500 down had been a significant favor. A sales manager later called to "calm the situation." When I asked why waiting one business day to verify our lender's rate had not even been offered--especially since we had agreed to alternative financing if equal or lower--the response was silence. The next morning we contacted AZOne ourselves. They confirmed the approval, reduced the rate to 6.4%, and offered to contact the dealership directly. That level of cooperation was refreshing. We also relayed the comments made about their institution; while they declined to criticize anyone, it was clear this was not unfamiliar territory. Since then, communication from **Mark Kia** has been nonexistent. Calls to finance, sales, and management have gone unanswered. The sales staff was personable. The handling of financing, however, raises serious concerns about transparency and incentives. Presenting a higher rate while discouraging the lender we arrived with--without verifying their terms--does not appear to be a simple oversight. When similar complaints appear repeatedly in public reviews, it suggests a pattern rather than coincidence. Buyers would be wise to verify financing directly with their lender and approach the finance office carefully. Finally, to Brian Slack: I have seen your public responses inviting dissatisfied customers to call you. I did--multiple times. I left a voicemail and a message with reception. I also called to confirm financing had been completed independently. There was no return call. If you remain concerned, you have my number. Very disappointing experience.

However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.
