Delightful and delicious dinner at Marker Five tonight on the deck overlooking the draw bridge and charter boats. The pomegranate infused pear arugula salad with cashews was a splendid start. Teamed with fresh local #ESB eastern shore brewing craft beer on tap.our meals varied from simple fish and chips to pork chops with perfectly balanced horseradish mashed potatoes to seared scallops with a sweet chili sauce. We stopped in for lunch and to give the dogs a walk while boating through Knapps Narrows. Beautiful day for outdoor seating and we were welcomed as being dog friendly. Kathy (or Cathy, sorry!) was our server and did a great job representing the restaurant and the menu. Our drinks (crushes and rum runner) were so good we had to get a round to go for later after lunch. We don't see fried catfish often so had to try - excellent! The pastrami sandwiches and beef tri tip sandwich also drew lots of praise. We saw a number of items on the menu we want to try. So we will be back. A great find. We love Knapps Narrows! read more

Nice location and very friendly staff, but make sure you sit outside. The echo chamber of a dining room was excruciatingly loud and wasn't even half full. Outside was much better. They have an extensive draft beer list. Food was very fresh. Caprese salad was delicious. Their fried green tomatoes were sliced laughably thin, but were topped with a tasty chipotle aioli and good quality crab. A little extra tang that thicker slices of tomato would have provided, would have paired better with those other ingredients. Steer clear of the etouffe. Not that it was bad, but it was underwhelming. For nearly the same price, the shrimp and scallop grits had twice the seafood. Ribs were very good, as was the seared tuna sandwich. read more

Loved our soup and entrees. Told my wife first time in awhile I was tasting the seasoning and prep that went into a dish (and we eat out regularly). Had the cream shrimp and onion soup. Wished I had gone for bowl rather than cup. I had crab cake entree and my wife char We shared a side of potato salad. Good food with dockside dining. 2 outdoor sitting areas. We stop here every year on our boat for lunch it has outstanding food and excellent service their pizza is delicious and perfectly sized they have nice out door and indoor seatings their were a few flys but there fish in chips are amazing they have thick nice chunks of cod and a perfect crispy shell I love their veggie pizzas and they brew lots of beer on tap and they have a great bar family friendly and great quick food and nice hostess I highly recommend coming here read more

Wife and I had lunch for the first time under this ownership. Good job over all. We got our food but no setup i.e. Napkins knife & fork etc. the pulled pork was very good and the meat ball sub was lacking....ok on it's own but would have been much better in the traditional format. Food is very good! Appetizers were interesting and tasty: fried green tomatoes, tuna sashimi and beer shrimp were excellent. We needed extra bread to sop up the beer shrimp sauce. Crab cake was more than enough even tho it didn't seem like it would be. Rack of ribs were reserved ahead of time, which is highly recommended as they were meaty and delicious, and were one of the many items they were out of when we actually sat to eat. As a matter of fact, the 1st thing our waiter did was give us the list of "our ofs". Nice touch, but they were out of an awful lot. Only complaint is the noise level inside. So noisy!! We actually sat, placed our appetizer order, then asked to move outside because we couldn't hear each other. It was hit, but we could chat over dinner instead of yell. read more

I want to like this relatively new place but it just falls short. Located at Knapps Narrows Bridge before you cross over to Tilghman Island, it has a nice outdoor seating area to watch the bridge and boats. The food was ok not great the two times I've eaten there. The menu feels surprisingly sparse and the atmosphere is clean but lacks any character or soul. I want to like it but can't. Maybe over time it will grow on me but I'm not rushing back anytime soon. read more

I went to Marker Five last night for dinner. We hung out w owners and sat at outside bar. The beer Selection was outstanding, and had three of the local beers from Eastern Shore Brewing on tap, along with a variety of others that would appeal to any craft beer enthusiast! We ordered the soft shell Crab appetizer that was served with a hot chilli Siracha sauce, sticky wasabi rice and fresh cucumber on the side. What an amazing dish! Truly worth a trip back just for that dish! I am still thinking about it today. We were told that this appetizer will be available whenever the soft shell crabs are available, and since they get them right off the dock I am hoping it will be often! Our dinners were equally as good and overall we had a fantastic time! I am already planning my next trip back! If you have not had the pleasure of dinning at Marker Five, I highly suggest you make a trip to Tilghman Island and check it out! From beginning to end was awesome! Marker 5 is a cute restaurant along the water. We sat outside on their patio. The patio is right on the water so was great for boat watching. The restaurant had a good beer selection on draft and friendly wait staff. My husband had the crab cake sandwich which was good, but expensive ($19) and I had the chicken sandwich that was marinated with lime and had avocado and an amazing slaw on it. I'm not a chicken sandwich eater, but this was really good! Overall, a nice experience! read more

My husband and I ate here two nights in a row on vacation. This is a new restaurant and its very nice inside. There is a large bar inside and a big tiki bar outside. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is on the water with views of the marina. We started with chicken wings which were smoky and tasty but a little expensive. i had a delicious North Carolina style pulled pork sandwich. It was in a very light vinegar base sauce and came with three sides of BBQ sauce: easy, sweet, and mustard. It was a generous portion on a hearty brioche bun. The fries were hand cut and delicious. The Cole slaw has a vinegar and creamy sauce which is a little odd. My husband had the burger and said it was good but not the best he has ever had. Alcoholic beverages were a little pricy with beers syrting at $3 and wine starting at $6. Our waitress the first night was wonderful. She was attentive, friendly, and explained the specials and any food we had questions about. Our waitress the second night was attentive but didn't really rake the time to explain food or refill drinks. Overall I think this is a great new restaurant that is going to be popular in this area. read more

Stopped in the Narrows after a long day of no wind and not feeling like another meal on the boat. Walked up to Market Five from the marina and was hoping for at least some cold beer and decent pub food, but instead found an unassuming restaurant with options of an outdoor tiki bar, dock side seating, or indoor dining and bar area. We had the fried green tomatoes and Maryland crap soup - both of which were fantastic, especially the tomatoes (I'm from the South and they Have my seal of approval). I had the smoked ribeye sandwich and, no lie, it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had - flavors all melded together As great as the food was (found out that the kitchen is under a young professionally trained cooked), the service was even better. We ate at Marker Five over the 4th of July weekend and both the food and service were outstanding. Just an all around great experience, and a great addition to the Tilghman dining scene. They have two great patios right on the water, cool bar on inside and out, and a cozy dining room. This place takes its food and service seriously, and the atmosphere is right on the money. Not too fancy but really clean, not old, dumpy, or smelly like fish. I wish we could have tried everything but made a solid dent in the menu. The smoked wings are to die for, meaty with just the right amount of smoke, and several excellent choices of sauces on the side. Btw - they excel in side sauce. Which brings me too the ribs, great rub, moist, and lots of sauce options. Crab cakes were delicious, along with smoked rib eye sandwich and spiced shrimp. Again with the sauces, we cleaned up every bit that accompanied the shrimp. My friend had the hanger steak and raved about it. Cathy the bartender is as pleasant and efficient as they come, she also waits on some table. We got hooked on the fantastic grapefruit crush and what place has over 30 beers on tap. Tilghman doesn't have many dining choices but if they did this place would still rank high. Who wants to drive all the way to St. Michaels when you have Marker 5. read more

Have been here twice since it reopened under new owners. The food is the best in the area! Wings are smoked, better than any fried wing, calamari is great also. Had the pork burger and the hamburger, both were great, my wife had the ribs and the pulled pork, she loved them both. The restaurant sits on the water with nice views and abundant outside seating with a nice outside bar with at least 20 beers on tap! The inside seating is nice with a huge bar as well. We were a little skeptical coming in but we were blown away by the food and the service. We were seated right away and had two great glasses of sauvignon blanc. One of us had rockfish special which was perfectly spiced and tasty. I had the beer shrimp orzo which was wonderful. The carrot cake was a perfect dessert. What an amazing, accidental find. (We were intending to go to another restaurant, but that one was closed and suggested Marker Five.) We went for lunch. Our table of four had a blackened red snapper sandwich, a blackened red snapper entree, a crab cake and mahi mahi tacos. All were good. The crab cake and the sandwich came with a choice of side dish -- but all that were offered were french fries, potato salad, macaroni and cheese and maybe potato chips. No vegetable at all. Server said some of the salads on the menu could be made smaller as side dishes, but I missed it if she said they'd cost more. So I paid half the price of a Caesar salad for half of a Caesar salad and had no other side dish. Didn't realize this until I looked at the credit card receipt when I got home. Does not leave me with a warm feeling toward the place. read more

The only reason they are getting a star is because we sat down right away but after 15 mins not a soul ever approached our table including the server waiting on the large table next to us!!! Really?? We stopped for lunch based on reviews. Nachos were ok, house made jalapenos were very nice, cheese sauce nicely done, but the guacamole was old...as in brown. We had the crab cake appetizers, arugula salad was a delicious complement, well dressed, maybe a little skinny on portion. Tartar was tasty with capers. Crab cakes were ok- slightly salty and no lump, all claw meat. Service was very nice and the pricing was ok as well. WE went in to this restaurant last weekend and was not impressed. The corn chowder was very good. The shrimp po boy was just ok . The service was poor and we had to wait quite a long time for our dinner. They did not offer any bread . We gave it a try and it was disappointing. read more
