My Baci!

Cute little market at Hyatt regency. They have souvenirs, coffee, dog toys, Portland made items. Matcha latte was good. Dog toys I thought were cute and reasonable at $10-$12 each. The shirts, sweatshirts are on the expensive side. But the market itself is so cute and high ceilings, glass windows everywhere made it very inviting. It's also kind of hidden ( unless you want to use the lobby bathroom, or walk to find it) you won't come across it. But it's a cute shop. I like the dog toy! And my coffee wasn't too bad!

Update :: go support this business they're going to be going out of business beginning July 2026!!…read more This was our first time trying Miss Delta, and honestly, we were surprised by how good everything was. The collard greens were some of the best I've had - perfectly seasoned, greens perfectly cut well and full of flavor. The fried oysters were massive, crispy and delicious. Don't skip on the banana pudding here! We also stopped in during Taco Week and their taco special was a 10/10. The restaurant itself is casual, quick service, with both indoor and outdoor seating. We grabbed a spot on the patio and spent the afternoon people-watching while enjoying some seriously tasty southern food.

My cousin and I saw the post via IG and we decided to go ahead there to get our lunch. We ate too…read morefast and couldn't finish our lunch lol. Shrimp and Grits: 10/10 -- it's perfect for two people to share, highly recommended because I was not able to finish it. Hushpuppies: 9/10 -- it would be nice if they're nicely fried, it's perfect for two people to split 6 into 3. Fried Pickles: 10/10 -- These were perfectly crispy but definitely for sharing. Fried Catfish Plate with Mashers and Mac and Cheese as sides: 10/10 -- I do wish the portion of catfish was a little bigger, the mac and mash were delicious. You would enjoy your meal, you won't regret it. :)

Stopped in at Jake's while making my way to the airport and it did not disappoint!…read more I only had time for appetizers and some drinks, but will definitely be back to try more. I had the Hazelnut Crusted Brie, Raspberry Jam, and Crostini. Talk about a cheesy goey heaven There's also tons of eclectic decor to gander at while you sip on one of their amazing cocktails, I highly recommend the spiced raspberry cooler. Sitting there with my luggage next to me staring out the big windows, made me feel like a protagonist in a French film.

Jake's was recommended by one of my coworkers while I was in Portland visiting one of our company…read moresites, and I have to say, it ended up being one of the best recommendations I got all trip. The restaurant is within walking distance of downtown hotels, so I enjoyed the walk over while taking in a little of the city. As soon as I walked in, I loved the atmosphere. It has a classic old school feel with lots of history, photos of celebrities who've dined there over the years, a beautiful bar, and a timeless charm that's hard to find these days. I kept it simple and ordered the chef's seafood special, and wow...it completely caught me by surprise. It reminded me a little of crawfish étouffée, but with more seafood and its own unique flavor. It's hard to describe, but it was absolutely delicious and one of the best meals I had during my trip. The drinks were excellent too (sorry, no pictures because I was too busy enjoying them), and the service was friendly from start to finish. Business trips don't always come with memorable meals, but this one definitely did. The next time I'm in Portland, Jake's will be one of my first stops.
