Pizza

Food was decent. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was made to order. Very greasy and rich. Staff gave off the impression that they didn't want to be there.

Niçoise salad
Yvette 'Divie' E.

Passed by while shopping one day and decided I'd come back to try it. It gives a very "ladies who lunch" vibe, and sometimes, that's exactly what a gal needs! Food/drinks: The twist on a Niçoise salad was delicious, filling, and large! Salmon was cooked just right with a delicious herb sauce on top. Nice presentation and good tea selection too. Service: It's self service meets table service. You wait in line to order, take your receipt and choose a table, and then someone comes to pick up the receipt and bring to your order. All staff I interacted with were helpful and friendly. Ambiance: It's cafeteria meets $$$. It's causal enough, food comes quickly, and no one rushes you. A mix of folks makes for fun people watching. Enjoyed the experience and would come back.

Salmon Nicoise Salad (1/2 portion)
Nooshi B.

Cafe Nordstrom serves up tasty, fresh options when you want a bite to eat while shopping. My friend and I split the Nicoise Salad and it hit the spot! The dressing was actually one of the best things I've tasted in quite some time. The salmon was a tad dry, but wasn't a big deal. The portion was more than enough for one person and the salad was full of potatoes, tomatoes, hard boiled egg, green beans and onions. Service was great and the little chocolates they bring at the end of the meal are so good.

Creole chicken and okra
Nhan L.

A bit pricey but the food is good quality and the service is good. The cashiers are always friendly and helpful. My particular waitress wasn't super attentive or overly friendly during my latest meal. I was there during lunch and she may have left me alone since I was completing some work things so I don't blame her. I headed there for their special Black History Month entree. It was a creole chicken and okra dish, created by Seattle Communion's chef Kristi Brown. The chicken was seasoned well and I enjoyed how tender and juicy it was. It paired well with the okra. It all laid on top of a hoe cake, that I found too sweet for my liking. The firstly edges were a great texture add though. Give it a try before the month ends!

Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich
Stellah K.

I ordered Santa Fe Chicken Panini which is one favorite menu at the Cafe or Marketplace Cafe at Nordstrom. But when I received my pick up order from downtown Nordstrom today, the Shrimp Pomodoro and the Santa Fe sandwich, there was no avocado at all, hardly any caramelized onions. I have been an ICON member forever and this was the worst food order I have received from any Nordstrom restaurant. So disappointed.

Margherita Pizza

We were looking for a bite and found Café Nordstrom - and what a pleasant surprise! Easy, fast and tasty. The menu isn't huge, but it's a café after all - and the staff aims to please. You order and pay at the counter and they bring the food out to you. I like the idea of not having to tip when you order - how do you know how to tip if you haven't gotten any service yet? So I'm a fan of the system they have here at Café Nordstrom. We had a Margherita Pizza and a Caprese salad (we're trying to adhere to Meatless Monday...) - and after a bit of thinking, they're pretty much exactly the same ingredients just in differing amounts. Plus the caprese had a pesto with pine nuts. Buy my pizza had basil, so we were close. I'm not afraid to venture back to Café Nordstrom. It gets a thumbs up.

Wild Alaska Pollock Sandwich with Cesar salad. Pleasantly surprised by this one!!!
Jeremy S.

We've been coming to Café Nordstrom downtown for a long time. The food and service has been strong in general, while particularly good recently. We tried the new fish sandwich and chowder. Both highlighting Wild Alaska Pollock. We learned during our last visit that it's the most sustainable commercial fish in the world. Highly recommend!

Grilled cheese tomato soup kids meal
Angel C.

Nordstrom cafe is such a hidden gem. You wouldn't expect to get pretty good quality food from a department store, unless you're in Korea or something lol but seriously this place has some great cafe foods. I've tried the pastas and salads and sandwiches and they're usually all super good. But i always always come out of my way to get the kids grilled cheese tomato combo for $7. It may seem strange but it's soooooo bomb. It comes with a drink and a side, i usually get a side of chips. And the drink is refillable! I also really like their arugula and shrimp salad. It's veryyy large though but i guess that's a good thing for most people! Either way I really enjoy coming here for a quick bite. I wish you can tip the servers though. You can tip them with cash but I don't always have cash on me so I feel really bad walking out without leaving anything. They should really change this so u can tip at the counter when u order the food? Maybe you can, I just don't know how to tip without cash.

Tomato basil soup and chive biscuit. Took 15 minutes in an empty cafe to have my biscuit warmed up.

Nana’s Green Tea

I hadn't been back to Nana's Green Tea in about two years, so I was excited to stop by again during…read moremy Seattle trip. Thankfully they are open today on the Fourth of July (they will just close a little earlier for the holiday), and I was happy to see that not much has changed since my last visit. Without even realizing it, I ended up ordering the exact same drink I got the first time: a Matcha Float with mochi. I guess you really can't go wrong with it because it's still just as creamy and satisfying as I remembered. The only tiny downside is that it only comes with three small mochi balls, so for almost $9 I wish there were a few more. However, the quality of the matcha is consistently excellent, sooo I don't regret coming back. They have wonderful customer service too! The employee helping me at the register was incredibly patient while I stood there trying to decide what to order. As an awkward introvert, I always feel a little flustered when ordering, but she never made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. She asked my sweetness preference for the Matcha Float, whether I wanted to dine in or take everything to go, and even carefully packed up my yuzu green tea packet with the rest of my order. She was very kind and thoughtful so just wanna say I really appreciate how welcoming she was. Even from my last Seattle visit two years ago, I still remember the employees being helpful and friendly here. I also have to recommend their desserts from my previous visit. (I skipped the sweets this time due to my budget but I still suggest picking up some of their sweets!). The Matcha Basque Cheesecake and the Matcha Tiramisu were both absolutely delicious, and I still remember how amazing they tasted even two years later. The tiramisu is only around $7 and is definitely worth trying if you're a matcha lover. This visit, I picked up their yuzu green tea packet to take home (last time, I got the hojicha). Each packet contains 15 individual tea bags and costs about $10 (not bad for how much tea is in each tea bag). They also sell matcha powder and other tea goodies. I'm looking forward to brewing the yuzu green tea at home since a good cup of hot tea is always comforting, especially when I'm sick (I've been recovering from a cold so tea has been a lifesaver to warm me up!). I actually stopped by for lunch since I didn't eat breakfast, and ordered the Sukiyaki Don (it was much more satisfying than I expected). I was craving a beef bowl and Nana's was one of the few places in the area within walking distance from my work, that was actually open for the holiday today, lucky me! It came with miso soup and a soft-boiled egg, and I was pleasantly surprised to find tofu and mushrooms in the bowl alongside the beef. It left me FULL, my tummy happy, heck yeah. Costs almost $20 but worth satisfying a craving. I won't lie.. I somehow managed to spend about $40 today between my meal, drink, and tea to take home. More than I intended to spend but no regrets, because everything was delicious and the quality has remained consistently high over the years. The only thing that made my visit a little uncomfortable wasn't the café itself. There were quite a few homeless individuals lingering around the front of the building, so I decided against dining out front like I had originally planned since I wanted to enjoy the nice weather, but one of them was panhandling me so I promptly left (thankfully I asked for my order to be packaged for takeout). That's obviously outside of the café's control, and it didn't affect the food or service at all. They still had many seats available inside but probably because it's the holiday. If I recall, the place was packed during the afternoon when I last visited on a weekday. I will still say that Nana's Green Tea continues to be one of my favorite matcha spots whenever I'm in Seattle. Between the consistently high-quality matcha, delicious meals and desserts, excellent selection of teas to bring home, and genuinely exemplary customer service, it's a place I'll happily keep returning to whenever I'm back in town and have the time to visit.

She had wanted to visit for a long time after hearing so many good things about it, so this was the perfect opportunity. The café itself is bright, modern, and absolutely adorable. It has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to relax over dessert with family or friends. The menu is a dream for matcha and hojicha lovers. They offer an impressive variety of parfaits, floats, frappes, and lattes, with optional additions like mochi and red beans. It took us a while to decide because everything looked tempting. My daughter and I shared the Hojicha Mochi Parfait, while my son ordered the Hojicha Float with mochi. The parfait had a rich, authentic hojicha flavor and was generously layered with chewy mochi, crunchy cereal flakes, and creamy soft serve, giving it a wonderful mix of textures. The float was equally enjoyable, with a bold roasted hojicha flavor that wasn't overly sweet, and the mochi was a fun addition. The quality of the desserts was excellent, and while the prices are on the higher side, they reflect the quality of the ingredients and presentation. If you're a fan of matcha or hojicha, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

The chocolate was slightly dark which worked well with the sweet pastry and filling! Overall I enjoyed the croissant but it was a tad too heavy on the filling and cripsy/crunchy for me.

Key Points: - Iconic khachapuri "bread boats"…read more- minor drawback: limited coffee customization options and only forks available The Fam and I stopped by Skalka for some breakfast/brunch before perusing the rest of Seattle during my birthday week. I saw it on a few YouTube food influencer videos and was really impressed by what I saw. The their staple is their Georgian khachapuri. They're the iconic bread "boats" filled with cheese, butter, egg, and whatever comes along the variety you ordered. TBH, I actually thought they looked like little volcanoes, which is something I figured The Little One would enjoy. What we ordered: - Stroganoff: one of the popular items listed on the yelp page. The beef was rich, succulent and comforting, with a creamy, savory filling. The pickles added a bit of bright, tangy contrast to balance the richness. - Adjaruli, the classic version with cheese, butter, and egg. To me, this seemed like the plainest version, but I figured The little One would be more likely eat this because she hates anything that resembles a sauce or toppings. Both dishes were fantastic. The bread boat sort of reminded me of a pizza crust: crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, and perfect for tearing off and dipping into the cheesy center. The Little one did especially like the crust since she's a big pizza-crust fan. Surprisingly, getting her to eat the cheese and egg was tougher, as she usually likes those. I guess that's just being a kid? Inconsistent fluctuations of opinions and likings? The Mrs. and I happily finished everything she left behind. The restaurant itself is a small, casual spot with self-service kiosks for ordering and open seating. Nothing fancy, but it's efficient. We also appreciated that they had high chairs available, making it easy to visit with a child. We did see other families with kids there too. My only gripes: - once you've submitted your kiosk order, making changes isn't really possible. The staff is so busy going in and out of the kitchen, that you really don't have any opportunity to flag them down. We actually wanted to make one minor change to our order, but by the time I managed to talk to someone about it, she informed me that the order was already being made. - If you order coffee, you need to decide on cream, half-and-half, and sugar ahead of time, seemingly preset amounts. It's entirely prepared in the kitchen, not self serve, and you can't exactly customize to your liking. - Only forks were available. No spoons, no knives. Knives would have been helpful for cutting through the thicker bread crust. Those are very minor complaints, though. The food was excellent, the concept is unique, and the meal was memorable. Won't dock any points off there.

It wasn't necessarily anyone's fault, but if you order with a person this doesn't happen. Toilet is broken in restroom. But the FOOD! Was amazing. They serve only one type of dish, which is like a bread boat with cheese inside and or other filling. I got the one with spinach and cheese - it is enough for 2 ppl but I finished it on my own as a very hungry pregnant lady. We also got 2 more to go - one with beans and bacon (Lobiani) and the other with beef stroganoff. Both were delicious, although the beans & bacon one has a bit of spice. I would 100% recommend eating in person though, because everything is perfect and melty when it's fresh.
