Great place to go and grab some necessities and meet some locals. This saved us a bit for sure.

Tropic fruits, what more can I say? Part of the Hawaiian experience is eating locally and yummy fruits.

I ordered a hot matcha latte with oat milk, and the matcha already comes pre-sweetened per the barista. It tastes very similar to Starbucks matcha, not horrible but not great either. A little too sweet for my liking and not enough of the matcha flavor comes through. The color also wasn't the correct shade of green for good quality matcha, but I'm someone who likes to make my matcha at home and rarely find ones at coffee shops that I actually like, so take my review with that in mind, if you're a casual matcha drinking then you would like their version. It doesn't dry your tongue out or have a bitter taste. The following day I decided to try their coffee and ordered a hot vanilla oat milk latte. It was just okay, the espresso is a little more on the acidic side and I couldn't taste any vanilla flavor. Definitely not the worst latte I've had in Hawaii, but for the cost of lattes nowadays, I wouldn't come back to try more of their menu until I try other local coffee shops first. Pros: Plenty of parking right out front, good amount of seating inside, clean bathrooms, wifi, they sell their coffee beans and merchandise including shirts and hats which are super cute, there is also a small shop inside the same building that sells clothing/candles/bags/etc and the store employee is super nice

We were able to make it back later in the week and loved our acai! All of the bases are blended, rather than a scooper sorbet, and which made the bowls less sugary and more refreshing. I ordered their most popular, the Sau Sai bowl and loved it! The employee was so friendly and accommodating, offering her recommendations and allowing me to make substitutions. I added papaya on top and it was perfection. Favorite acai spot we found on the island and wish we had more time to come back!

It was incredibly busy the entire time we were there, which is always a good sign, but the line moved fairly quickly considering how packed it was. It was fun to shop around the grocery store while I waited. The acai bowl we ordered was massive and definitely enough to share. We added mangos as a topping and they tasted almost out of season and wasn't great. The acai itself was smooth. Everything tasted super fresh, and the balance of sweetness with the granola and fruit was really good without being overpowering. Overall, such a fun spot to stumble upon and absolutely worth the stop if you're in Kaua'i.

The first thing I'll mention is the variety. There were approximately 10 hot food items on their main hot food table with options ranging from kalua pork hash, to frittata, to mango mahi. Plus they switched out all options each day to make sure the buffet wasn't repetitive. The quality of these items was generally great. But they had much more beyond the main hot food table. The fresh juice shots were always a highlight for us. Also the pancakes/french toast bar, which always had a good local twist like taro or ube mixed in. And make sure to dig into the fresh fruit spread. They have good sweet baked goods as well, but I think the bread/bagel cabinet is the only miss at this buffet. The bread options just weren't good quality. I still give 5 stars, because even without freshly baked breads, we still had a plethora excellent options. If you are staying at Grand Hyatt Kauai, this buffet is a great option. Especially if you want to fill up on brunch and not go out to eat again until dinner.

Regardless, the fresh, healthy and tasty variety and gorgeous views were so satisfying and invigorating. They change up their options every day so you don't get bored either. I really appreciated their fresh juice options too! I realized that's hard to beat when you've got the more soda-like, sugary juice options around the islands. Like the rest of the resort, service here is superb and warm. It really feels special and I hope to visit again one day.
