We couldn't decide which Taiwanese breakfast place to go. So many options in this area. My daughter wanted the green onion pancake wrap with basil. I got the combo egg pancake roll with basil. She says it was the best. Place is small to eat there but we took it out. Nicely packaged. Service was quick and friendly.

This cafe is so cute from the cute exterior to the interior. It reminded me of the cozy themed cafes in Taiwan that I used to go to. I got a combo A with the pork floss and scallion and it was amazing. The crisp was just right and the hash browns were crispy too. It was piping hot when I got it and they have an assortment of seasonings for you to flavor it if you want extra seasoning. The milk tea was okay, it was pretty sweet. I still liked it though because it gave me the nostalgia of being back in Taiwan.

exterior. Santa Ana winds blew the sign. it's suppose to be in front of a parking stall.

Background On Visit: Felt like having some kind of Taiwanese breakfast. I was about to go to Four Seas/Si Hai, but ending up going to Morning Delight Cafe instead. Credit Cards: They're accepted only if you spend a minimum of $15. Restroom: There's a unisex restroom through the curtains towards the back of the shop. Location/Parking: Located on the NW corner of Las Tunas and San Gabriel. Believe it or not, but this place use to be Half and Half boba shoplocation! Mind blown riiiiiight? Parking can be found in the small strip mall/plaza. Ambiance/Decor: Small little shop with modern decor. There's about 3 tables that seat 4 and one that is for 2 people. Entertainment: You can get some selfies in with their backdrop on the right side when you walk into the shop. Service: Service was good. The staffer behind the register was friendly, attentive, offered great suggestion of pancake to order, and was informational about their shop. Food Of Choice: 1) Combo A: It's a combo that comes with any pancake, hash brown, and a milk tea. I decided on the combo pancake that has cheese, pork, and vegetable. It was good, but pricey. It'll be great if they had more pork and vegetable. I did like the milk tea. It wasn't overly sweet. Morning Delight For Thought: Would like to come back and try their signature pork sandwich.

Stop by here if you want some green onion pancake wraps. Food was ok, staff was doing their best during rush hour. Just a heads up. Make sure you double check your bill for discrepancy in pricing.

SOO GOOOOOD I cried inside because I loveee Taiwanese breakfast so much, and this place totally exceeded my expectations! The best dish we ordered was the Bacon Egg Pancake Roll (Dan Bing). The Dan bing had a nice crispy crunch to it which I am not used to, and I always feel that bacon goes so well with it! If you miss Taiwanese breakfast, then you have to come here!!!

Best place for Taiwanese bkf , food are authentic! But they took off the braised pork rice from the menu , but everything else is good !

I've known about Morning Delight Cafe for quite a while, but it's a very small restaurant with very few seats and it's only open for brunch. So I had to find a good opportunity to go. I finally came with a few colleagues for lunch. The items all looked good. One person got the steak and egg plate noodles, another person the curry soup base Taiwanese mini hot pot and milk tea combo. I personally got the traditional egg pancake roll with hash browns. I've had plenty of scallion pancakes but none with hash browns, so I thought that was unique. The staff are very attentive. The food took a while to come but it was worth the wait. I really enjoyed my hash browns and scallion pancakes. My colleague suggested I add the sauce that they had which tasted like a combination of ketchup and sriracha. It added a nice kick to the dish. The hours a bit weird and the location is a bit small, but definitely a solid Taiwanese brunch establishment.

I decided to give this a try since Tam's Noodle House next door was busy. First off this is a really cute looking cafe, tons of yellow around resemblance of eggs. I came for the breakfast so I tried out a few of the morning items on the menu. Combo F (Porridge + Fried Chicken) - This was a bit lackluster. The rice was chunky and not completely cooked down like I thought. Flavors were very strong and quite peppery. It wasn't bad neither was it that good. The fried chicken wasn't special either, it was crispy but the flavors were pretty mid. (3/5) Signature Pork Sandwich - This was advertised as limited edition on the menu. The sandwich was actually really tasty but when it arrived it looked like it's just a prepacked sandwich. For $6 though I thought it was good overall. (3.5/5) Basil Taiwan Sausage Egg Pancake - This is where this place shined. This was the only thing that I thought stood out. It was crispy, flavorful and looked great. I would recommend this. (4.5/5) Overall thought this was an alright cafe. The prices were good at ~ $10 per dish and the service was fast and friendly. Designs of the cafe were comforting and cute but I thought the food was a bit lacking. Not something I'd be back for.

Black pepper egg noodles. Good amount of noodles which is about 60-70% of the plate. Tiny piece of "meat", egg and small salad

I'm sorry but I don't understand why people rave about this place. We came on Sunday around 12:30 and there's not much wait. The inside is very small and tight. It's the kind you eat and get out because it's just so small. It's clear that there's little touches with decor and they tried making it welcoming and fresh decor, but I didn't find them necessary or helpful because you can't possibly give high score with decor even the inside is this small and cramped. SERVICE - friendly and helpful. Offered to clean table with alcohol and will bring things as soon as we asked, the waitress was clear that she didn't want to take order from the table though, even if we are clearly ready and she was right there. We must either order online or go to counter. FOOD - everything is a bit different and odd. By the time we went the corn soup were gone so could not have combo which made the meal a bit pricy. The sizzling plate noodles although flavorful, are soggy. The meat patty felt cheap a bit dry and not particularly appetizing. For this kind of price it's unfortunately no real meat. The egg pancake added basil which frankly tastes weird. French fries had pepper which you will either love the extra spice or get turned off. Fried food was crispy and warm though. I really wanted to like this place as there's not a lot of Taiwanese restaurants and this one is nice and new. Unfortunately there's quite a few areas that could use improvement.

I swear this pic looks like AI but its not! It really looks like that!

I love Asian food, and trying out different Asian breakfast spots is a must! Different places do different things, its how places stand out. I saw a dish from here I've never seen before, so I know I had to try it. We went in the morning on Valentine's Day. It is a small spot and there were only a handful of tables inside, but a few outside in the sun. We didn't get there early enough so we had to sit outside. No umbrellas unfortunately so one of us got the sun on our back, one the sun in our face. You can probably guess which one I got. Should of worn a hat. Before sitting, we had ordered inside. Though the cashier spoke English, we had a slight language barrier issue when ordering, but when I pointed to the menu, the other language that was written below the item I wanted, helped and then she understood. I saw a few bad reviews on here after I visited, time delay, food quality, but I dont think there was anything bad to say about this place. We had great dishes that were flavorful, savory and filling. Price was a little steep for breakfast, but when you compare to breakfast sandwiches from say, McDonalds? This was like caviar compared to cheese puffs, so I'd say it was worth it. The rest of the menu had items that got me excited just reading them! I will be back to try them for sure!

Something about this place is very basic, yet does the cross between Western and Chinese food well. Did not expect too much from the noodles, egg, and pork-- but that absolutely hit the spot. The menu here doesn't seem like much but is actually quite varied in what they do, the vibe is cute, service is on the efficient side but is actually quite friendly. Probably worth a return to try more of the return menu.

I saw their Instagram reel and I just had to try this Taiwanese brunch joint and I am so happy I ventured out. My friend and I went to town with the categories, ordering basically one of each: a pancake, sandwich, burger, milk tea, and the puff pastry soup. The basil Taiwanese sausage pancake really hit the spot for me with its savory notes from the sausage and the sweet soy sauce that was artfully plated. I probably ate the majority of it than my friend. Whoops. Overall, I liked this cafe. It's cozy. However, to note the parking lot can be a bit cumbersome as it's shared with a number of other restaurants and a CVS, but there is street and a lower level parking area. The cafe itself has dining tables inside as well as few cafe tables outside, which is perfect for a sunny California day brunch mood in the 626!

Butter toast!

This establishment is on the corner of San Gabriel and Las Tuna. It's in the same strip small of CVS. Parking can be tricky, but I believe they have a lot underground. The first time another yelper and I decided to try this spot, we came around 1pm and they had run out of food. So, we ended up eating a few doors down. This time around, we were determined to try this brunch spot. So, we decided to meet here at 11:30am. However, the wait was pretty long as they have very limited seating. We didn't get seated until 12ish. By the time we were seated and ordered, I was famished. We ordered a couple of the sandwiches, the butter toast, scallion egg pancake, and a chicken leg. I can say that the food was decent but not worth the wait to sit and eat. All the food here seem snack sized, You would need to order many items to actually get full. Overall, it was a decent experience, but will probably order for to-go next time!

Today was definitely the perfect day. Knowing what I know now as I write this review, we would return & bring friends here. It's about 78 to 80°F on a Friday a few minutes before 1 pm, surprisingly, it was low key--only a couple tables taken indoors by patrons and a set of guys on the patio. At the door, it said to seat ourselves & I immediately shot to the patio. The set up: once seated, the server comes with menus, you order & it's a sit down meal. Giselle was our friendly & attentive server, young & attentive. Hubby ordered the breakfast burrito ($11.50) & I opted for build your own omelette $11.50 for a 3 egg omelette & choice of two items- mushroom and bell peppers accompanied with breakfast potatoes, and chilaquiles ($13.99) to share. The patio seating is fresh, airy, there are tables, outdoor furnitures (sofas) and bright orange umbrellas for shade. My photos captured these elements. The food arrived shortly, although not all at once. I didn't mind it all because the ambiance was so soothing with the sound of birds chirping away and the background of other patrons talking. The only complaint from Hubby was too many pototo chunks in his burrito. My omelette was hot, fresh ingredients, delectable & the potatoes were mixed with 3 colors of bellpeppers. Oh and the chilaquiles? Pretty darn good! The tortilla chips were crispy, perfect amount of green salsa, freshly diced onions & a sprinkling of cotija cheese. Was I famished or was it that good that I devoured everything? What's left was Hubby's potato chunk discards. Giselle returned a few times to ensure our experience is to our satisfaction & another staff also stopped by to check on us. Such a perfect meal & day-- I'm so happy with this visit. Parking is plentiful & free.

Such an amazing find!!…read more My daughter has been to Mari Vees before and was craving their chicken ceasar salad wrap. She asked if we can go so we went around 1pm on a Saturday before her eye appt. Cute family owned shop and the wait wasn't long at all. We waited no more than 10 mins. I ordered the impossible smash burger and the hubby got the country fried steak with a banana walnut pancake. I wish I asked for extra vanilla in my vanilla latte but the art... perfection. We chose to sit inside, but they also have patio seating as well. We quickly ordered their My pistachio latte and cafe latte. The Cafe latte came out really hot (which is what we wanted) but my pistachio latte was lukewarm and it had more of a Matcha flavor to it than pistachio. Both looked so cute and tasted good but I preferred their cafe latte. My aunt ordered their American Breakfast and I ordered their Good Morning Omelette (basically build your own omelette). Their dishes were really good, especially their home fries. My aunts eggs and bacon came out perfect. My omelette tasted really fresh with lots of fresh veggies, like spinach, mushrooms, and ham. The only hiccup that we had was that the food took almost an hour to come out. I think they had an issue with the ticket, and didn't get put in so it came out way later. Our waiter Fabian was very apologetic and gave us a discount on our bill. Because of the friendly service and the good food, we will definitely be back to try other items.
