Menu has a good variety. Since I already ate, I wanted something light. I was lucky to get one of the last two remaining signature sandwiches. Friendly young gentleman behind the counter recommended the pork over the tuna so that's what I got plus one pre-packaged and refrigerated Taiwan Milk Tea with no topping. Thanks! Not sure how I only found out about morning delight recently, but this place has officially become a must-visit whenever I am in SoCal. Walking in feels like stepping into a Taiwanese breakfast shop - right down to the nostalgic flavors. Everything we ordered was delicious. The egg pancake rolls were chewy, flavorful, and exactly what I crave when I think of Taiwanese breakfast. The sandwiches were packed with flavor, and the corn soup was surprisingly good - rich, comforting and the perfect pairing with the rest of the meal. It's the kind of food that instantly transport you back to Taiwan after the first bite. The only downside is that the wait times can get pretty long during peak hours esp on weekends. This cafe is so cute from the cute exterior to the interior. It reminded me of the cozy themed cafes in Taiwan that I used to go to. I got a combo A with the pork floss and scallion and it was amazing. The crisp was just right and the hash browns were crispy too. It was piping hot when I got it and they have an assortment of seasonings for you to flavor it if you want extra seasoning. The milk tea was okay, it was pretty sweet. I've known about Morning Delight Cafe for quite a while, but it's a very small restaurant with very few seats and it's only open for brunch. So I had to find a good opportunity to go. I finally came with a few colleagues for lunch. The items all looked good. One person got the steak and egg plate noodles, another person the curry soup base Taiwanese mini hot pot and milk tea combo. I personally got the traditional egg pancake roll with hash browns. I've had plenty of scallion pancakes but none with hash browns, so I thought that was unique. The staff are very attentive. The food took a while to come but it was worth the wait. I really enjoyed my hash browns and scallion pancakes. My colleague suggested I add the sauce that they had which tasted like a combination of ketchup and sriracha. It added a nice kick to the dish. I decided to give this a try since Tam's Noodle House next door was busy. First off this is a really cute looking cafe, tons of yellow around resemblance of eggs. I came for the breakfast so I tried out a few of the morning items on the menu. Combo F (Porridge + Fried Chicken) - This was a bit lackluster. The rice was chunky and not completely cooked down like I thought. Flavors were very strong and quite peppery. It wasn't bad neither was it that good. The sandwich was actually really tasty but when it arrived it looked like it's just a prepacked sandwich. For $6 though I thought it was good overall. The place was packed and there were lines for takeout too, which wasn't surprising given how many food options they have. We ordered a few different things and everything sounded good. It's the kind you eat and get out because it's just so small. It's clear that there's little touches with decor and they tried making it welcoming and fresh decor, but I didn't find them necessary or helpful because you can't possibly give high score with decor even the inside is this small and cramped. SERVICE - friendly and helpful. Offered to clean table with alcohol and will bring things as soon as we asked, the waitress was clear that she didn't want to take order from the table though, even if we are clearly ready and she was right there. We must either order online or go to counter. FOOD - everything is a bit different and odd. By the time we went the corn soup were gone so could not have combo which made the meal a bit pricy. The sizzling plate noodles although flavorful, are soggy. The meat patty felt cheap a bit dry and not particularly appetizing. For this kind of price it's unfortunately no real meat. The egg pancake added basil which frankly tastes weird. French fries had pepper which you will either love the extra spice or get turned off. Fried food was crispy and warm though. I saw their Instagram reel and I just had to try this Taiwanese brunch joint and I am so happy I ventured out. My friend and I went to town with the categories, ordering basically one of each: a pancake, sandwich, burger, milk tea, and the puff pastry soup. The basil Taiwanese sausage pancake really hit the spot for me with its savory notes from the sausage and the sweet soy sauce that was artfully plated. I love Asian food, and trying out different Asian breakfast spots is a must! Different places do different things, its how places stand out. I saw a dish from here I've never seen before, so I know I had to try it. We went in the morning on Valentine's Day. It is a small spot and there were only a handful of tables inside, but a few outside in the sun. We didn't get there early enough so we had to sit outside. No umbrellas unfortunately so one of us got the sun on our back, one the sun in our face. You can probably guess which one I got. Should of worn a hat. Before sitting, we had ordered inside. Though the cashier spoke English, we had a slight language barrier issue when ordering, but when I pointed to the menu, the other language that was written below the item I wanted, helped and then she understood. I saw a few bad reviews on here after I visited, time delay, food quality, but I dont think there was anything bad to say about this place. We had great dishes that were flavorful, savory and filling. Price was a little steep for breakfast, but when you compare to breakfast sandwiches from say, McDonalds? She already gave me an attitude when I ordered in English, and I definitely felt like I was treated differently because of it. I ordered four dishes for three people. After we were done eating, I asked for to-go boxes. She didn't give me a bag, so I figured they didn't have bags. Then I saw a man eating by himself ask for a to-go box and he was given a nice paper bag. Another lady next to me got one too. When I asked if I could have a bag, she was going to give me a paper one but then switched it to a plastic bag instead. I asked why she didn't give me a paper bag, and she said it wouldn't fit my two boxes, which doesn't make sense because all their to-go boxes are the same size. I got an egg pancake which is a Chinese crepe stuffed with a fried egg, meat and veggies. It hit the spot! It's a Taiwanese omelette more or less. There was cheese in this one but I would leave it out if I ordered it again. The meat is pork shoulder which has been physically tenderized and marinated until it has the texture of sausage. It was rich but they include the right amount in the pancake. The veggies provided moisture and the crepe and egg were for structure. I want to come back and try them all. The have breakfast sandwiches to try too. I won't get the combo again which comes with milk tea and a hash brown. The milk tea was perfect but the hash brown was too greasy to enjoy. Better to order separately but I was a sucker for a deal. Almost everything is under $10 so you can mix and match what you want. Service was 5/5. The second, we got here earlier in case they run out of food again. They're busy on weekends! We waited for approximately fifteen minutes before we got seated. You click on their barcode with your cellphone camera and order online. The food comes out quite quickly! We ordered a fried chicken drumstick, pork cutlet sandwich, chicken cutlet sandwich, a butter toast, and two milk teas... one with whole milk, and the other with non-dairy. I like the non-dairy one, a little sweeter. The drumstick was huge, fried and left in an oven to preserve its freshness. Not bad. The sandwiches was good too, but a bit on the smaller side. The sandwiches reminds me of the 711 store ones in Asia. Very simple but tasty. The best dish, imo was probably the butter toast. It's thick and drenched with butter and sugar. They also serve a strawberry and a chocolate toast too. I have yet to try it. Their milk teas are served fresh. They seal a plastic cover over it. Very typical, so no big deal. Overall this place is fine. Not too special, nor a must go place. It's good for a regular casual brunch though! Get there early if you plan in going. They close at 2:30pm. Cute, small Taiwanese breakfast shop. We arrived at around 10AM on Saturday and most tables were already full and the wait time for a to-go order was about 20 min. We wanted to try a McChicken sandwich but they told us they were sold out already. We got the pork sandwich and the basil sausage egg pancake. Both were good! The Taiwanese sausage tasted home made and paired well with the sweet brown sauce, eggs, and basil. The scallion pancake was also nice and crispy. The pork sandwich was also solid!
