Absolutely amazing coffee! The Brazilian dark roast is so rich and perfectly roasted, it's my new go to daily coffee.

The turnover 11/10, and I will make special trips just to get great pastries. The service here is very kind, inviting and so helpful. They have some seating inside and a few tables outside as well for ample seating. The ONLY negative thing about this place they have no control over. The parking SUCKS OUT LOUD. I hate trying to park in downtown Escondido. I can't take anything away from them for this but-for me- the frustration in this keeps it from being my regular place. If you live in the area and like good coffee and food, 100% would recommend

Their coffee tends towards a brighter, citric flavor that reminds me very much of cold brew. Which I don't care for. But others might! So if a brighter, lighter flavor is what you enjoy (what up tea people) then this might be the place you're looking for. And again, I adore the vibe here. Probably the chillest work/read spot in all of Escondido. Parking can be rough if downtown is busy, but only if you're adamant about needing to be very close for mobility reasons etc. Otherwise you can usually find something walkable. Beautiful, open cafe with a lovely view of the small park across the street and downtown Esco.

While I waited for my order, I went next-door to See's candy. I was craving fudge. I returned about 2 to 3 minutes after my order and my order was ready. The service was great... It was fast and the lady was really friendly. Inside it's very dark & moody vibes, still good natural light where you can work and study from. I just wish they brought back the Turon crème brûlée latte.

The overall experience (staff, variety/availability, drink quality) was incredibly disappointing because I hear great things about this place. There were quite a bit of people in there, so I'm sure it's great at times. Settling for the Vietnamese Iced Coffee as 1 of our 2 drinks, sadly it was mostly ice. The drink was done in a few sips. It felt like the cup was filled with ice and then put the coffee in. Don't get me wrong, the drink was good and the coffee was strong. The other drink was the Creme Brulee Latte. If you like the sugar un-bruleed, this is the drink for you. I saw the top was torched for a few seconds, but the drink was still in the tiny sugar crystals. The coffee part is also nice and strong, though the drink is not as sweet as it sounds. Overall, lack-luster and expensive for the $7.60 - Large.

This location is right in the center of so much Solana Beach activity offering plenty to do and see around this cafe that makes it an even better stop. Really easy to order and although the line may look long, they are usually quite fast. Worth the wait too! I recently had their cherry bomb latte and my husband had their vanilla latte. His vanilla latte was top tier but I absolutely love the cherry bomb latte. Cherry and coffee go together much better than expected. Their butter croissant was heaven. Just the fluffiest layers and delicious!

This would have been an average San Diego coffee shop experience for me, except for the fact that I absolutely LOVED the cherry bomb! It's a cherry mocha and essentially a perfect drink for me. Back in 2019, Starbucks had a seasonal cherry mocha for Valentine's Day that I was obsessed with. Apparently I was the only one, because they haven't brought it back since. Cherry mochas are hard to come by, and I haven't really encountered another one. This one was delicious! The espresso was bold, the milk perfectly creamy, and the overall taste not too sweet (unlike Starbucks'). Wow!! I can already tell this will be a drink I daydream about. Unfortunately it was $7.50, which will prevent me from indulging very regularly. The rest of the menu is pricey too, with avocado toasts nearly reaching $20. (I may be a millennial, but I can certainly understand the negative stereotype when I see coffee shop prices like these.) Besides pricing, the other downside of this place is the limited seating. There were only 4 small outdoor tables, so unless you're with just one other person and you arrive before 10am, I'd suggest grabbing your coffee to go and taking a walk. My friend and I sat down, since there were open tables when we arrived. She enjoyed her iced honey cinnamon latte. If you love a cherry mocha or are looking for coffee in the design district, definitely come through!

The setup is simple -- white tile, wood accents, a few outdoor tables under umbrellas -- but it's exactly the kind of vibe that makes you want to linger with a good cup in hand. I went with a caramel latte and a breakfast burrito, and honestly, the flavors delivered. The latte was smooth, balanced, and just sweet enough -- no sugar bomb here, just that nice caramel note that rounds it out. The burrito came out warm and hearty, filled generously and perfect alongside the coffee. My only pause? At $18 for both, it leans pricey, especially given the casual setting. But in a place like Rancho Santa Fe, you kind of expect that. What I loved most was the energy -- the barista was cool, service felt unhurried, and the outdoor patio let me just sit back and soak in the quiet. Sometimes that's worth the extra few bucks. Final take: for quality, setting, and the kind of morning reset I'd come back for. Rancho Roasters isn't about rushing in and out -- it's about slowing down, sipping good coffee, and enjoying the moment.
