My family of 4 ate at Marlintini's tonight (6/21/26). We arrived about 6:20, our order was taken at 6:33 and our food arrived about 7:40. The reason given was two new members of the cooking staff. When the food arrived temperatures varied on our plates, for example, my haddock was piping hot, my fries were cold (I'd asked to sub a baked potato when I ordered.) Our waitress only had a couple of tables and I know there wasn't much she could do until the food came, but she still wasn't even doing basic drink refills without us having to ask. We are only in the area for a couple of days, but wouldn't return to this restaurant even if our stay was longer. read more

We used to eat here once a week, now it's once every 6 weeks. The prices keep climbing and now they invested in smaller plates to match the smaller portions. The staff always complains about how tired they are and the food often arrives at room temperature. The last order had about 12 French fries and the fish portion on one plate was about 35% smaller than the other. The staff works hard but I suspect they have a different time finding employees. Don't waste your money on a Ruben, the corned beef is always nasty. I like the atmosphere and am well aware of inflation, but it seems disproportionate. So it's $65-$100 for 2 dinners, 2 beers, tax and tip. If it was consistent it would be an easier choice, but its not. I'm hoping they'll read this and maybe start washing the broccoli before cooking it. I do appreciate they are open every day when others are closed. read more

This is a must stop every time we are in Maine! We love to go for lunch and sit at the bar as well as going in the evening for dinner with our family. It is never too loud so you can easily carry on a conversation. The service is always excellent. The servers are very knowledgeable about what is on the menu and in tap! This is definitely by far a 5 star restaurant! I have been coming here for over 4 years. I have never had any issues with the food or the staff or even the customers. You get the freshest seafood that you can possible get! And the stake tips..... That's another whole story. I could eat them every single time I come here. They are so delicious the best I ever had. They always have a delicious soup of the day! And they have a great haddock chowder!!! I could honestly go on. . The nacho plate is just to much for 1 person to eat. If your ever in the Blue Hill area. You must stop here. They have a tremendous variety of food to choose from. And I guarantee every time you come to visit maine. Says 4 stars but defiantly a low 3 for me. Went in with my wife, was greeted by a confused person who didn't know where she wanted to seat us. Wife ordered a coffee and we ordered an appetizer from the person who seated us. Waitress comes by moments later and takes meal order. Not a long wait for food but was very unimpressed with the presentation. Also, our entrees came out BEFORE THE APPETIZER AND MY WIFE'S COFFEE. Not a huge deal but food was very unimpressive. I still can't understand why this place is popular, it's not the quality of food. Considering what's available in the area, these guys need to wake up and cut half the menu, get a decent chef, who doesn't overcook everything to death. Food is very good. And the environment is very nice. We went out with friends of ours however, who might I add, are local and regulars to the place, and were outraged by the service. We sat down to have drinks for my girlfriend's birthday, we didn't even order an entree just drinks, deserts, and appetizers. We not only were very polite, but we also tipped very well given the extremely high price of the place. We were there for a while yes, however when we left we were chased out by the waitress where she said out the window "let me know what I can do next time so you can actually tip me for once!" Not only was it rude but it was very unprofessional for not only her, but the establishment as well. Fantastic fish and chips! We were staying in Blue Hill to visit family, right between the summer rush and the leaf peepers. The area has limited options for an affordable *enough* seafood dinner and we were very pleased with what we found at Marlintini's. The menu covered standard expectations for an all-purpose, community-centered restaurant in a tourist driven local economy, as well as some more creative yet accessible dishes, without being overwhelming. The fish was fresh and cooked well and the portions were perfect. They don't really know what to do with veggie sides, but we were prepared for that reality in a remote tourist town regardless of the tourist demographic. The service was friendly and efficient. Usually, we avoid restaurants with tvs, but the screens weren't obtrusive. We were easily able to ignore them and actually have conversation and the overall atmosphere was clean and modern and cozy. We expect to be back in the area more often and we'll remember Marlintini's as a reliable spot regardless of whether the kids are in tow! read more

Let me start by saying wow this place was good! It was our first time but definitely not our last. I started with a vodka seltzer which was only $7 for a big glass! For an appetizer we got the mozzarella bites and they were delicious! My boyfriend got the black and blue ribeye with rice pilaf and mashed potatoes. This place is like a good wine; it just gets better with age. Mom used to call it "Martinellis" thinking it was an Italian spot. It is a great place with abundant meal and beverage choices. Nightly specials all week. We went on Friday which had the Prime Rib and Fish fry as the specials. Prime rib was excellent as well as the huge fish filet. $9 is a bit steep for a small glass of Sauv blanc but it was tasty. Outstanding was our server Panda, who kept us taken care of the entire meal and never missed a beat. Great attitude and personality during tough restaurant times. The carrot cake for dessert wasn't worthy for $8 but overall a good meal with great service. Major props to this restaurant for being open seven days a week at a time post covid when most restaurants here are on limited hours/limited days of operation. Having said that, it was at capacity and chaotic as all get out. Our server, Kate, was very good and just about running to keep up. TIP WELL, I've never seen anyone more deserving. My hubby had the meatloaf and said it was great. It was covered in a brown gravy and there were two thick slices. It was served with real mashed potatoes and cole slaw. I had a clam basket - they weren't the best but I had a large portion and I would never complain as this is not a food served in the Midwest and I get them whenever possible. The fries were seasoned well and the cole slaw was adequate. The bathrooms were clean. read more

I ordered the Meatloaf Dinner. This came with Meatloaf, French fries, and Steamed broccoli. The meatloaf was pretty good but it didn't have much flavor. The French fries were really good and I totally recommend them. The steamed broccoli didn't seem like it was fully cooked either. I got two things of ketchup to go with it all, the first container was pretty good but the second one threw me off so much. It tasted different and kinda tasted metallic in a way. This could have just been the meatloaf and the waiters are nice. Definitely give this place a try! read more
