Not bad. Medium up-scale atmosphere. Food is pretty good, but not a place for drink specials: no pitchers, limited draught, and higher prices. Sunday brunch is probably the best day to experience this place. Friendly staff all the time. Some of the stuff on the menu is unique and good, like the okra fries. Truffle fries are awesome too. I feel this place is best suited for a quite but good family dinner out. read more

This is a great restaurant with a pub feel. Food is always hot and delivered as ordered. French dip sandwich is always a favorite. This tends to be on the noisy side, and always busy. They do not take reservations. Once seated, someone from the waitstaff is quick to come. Menu changes 4 times a year. A favorite in our house for sure. read more

Really enjoying this place. The staff are friendly & attentive w/out smothering us, the carpaccio is very tasty & one of my favorite apps in ATL, and the basic pinot is very nice. Wife & I can have a glass of wine and diiner, relax & enjoy & be out the door for $60 incl. a 20% tip. read more

My family and I were in the area and initially went to Mirkos. Big mistake. We entered and the manager was looking at his watch and we asked if they were still open and he said "You have to be quick". It was 9:18 and they close the kitchen at 9:30 so they could have served us without a problem considering the outside patio was still full and of course we were going to order right away. We felt very unwelcome and turned around and walked right out. We saw that Marlows's Tavern was walking distance and we decided to go there. Couldn't be happier we did that. We were greeted by very welcoming staff and got seated on the patio. Our server Sennet went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. He made our night. He was very very nice and attentive. We ordered the shrimp appetizer which was great. The caesar salad was a bit different than one would expect but was good as well. The fish tacos were delicious. We had a great time. Will definitely be back soon. read more

Absolutely terrible service from the bar staff. Ordered a beer, finished it and was going to get another but was completely ignored by the two bar staff. Both had plenty of time to talk with other employees and it was not very busy. Unacceptable. Will never be back. Too many other place to get a beer (or two) and not be ignored. read more

If you haven't been down Johnson Ferry Rd. in a while, you might be surprised when you see the Merchants Walk Shopping Center. The entire shopping center is receiving a face lift and new tenants. We went to Marlow's Tavern on Friday night for their training night. The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous. We had parmesan french fries with truffle oil for an appetizer. The fries were amazing! We ordered the fish tacos and black bleu burger for dinner. I have had the fish tacos before and they didn't disappoint. The burger was cooked perfectly and had the perfect amount of blue cheese. Marlow's Tavern opens on December 14 and will be a great addition to the East Cobb area. read more

I was excited to get a decent bar and grill in East Cobb, as everything here is dated and subpar. I went to Marlow's yeserday and the atmosphere was great, the food was better than average and the servvice was excellent. The burger and wraps were well done and fresh. Dodged big raindrops and lightning bolts to get in but was warmly greeted and seated immediately in a commodious booth. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Things began with good but small martinis. The asparagus fries and flatbreads followed for appetizers and were good. The main courses were also good and well presented. My disappointment was the forgettable creme brulee which had a too hard crust. All in all, it's worth a return engagement. read more

My place to relax and have a good meal. No matter how busy our bartenders are they know what we drink and with a nod they are served up even if we have to wait for a seat. The hardest part of eating here is not that the menu is extensive but everything is good. So sometimes deciding is a little tough. Thanks to all our great bartenders for making us feel welcome and taking excellent care of us. Plus the nicest people hang out here. Our only drawback is we love mash potatoes... My husband and I are new to the Atlanta area. Last Saturday night we were looking for a place to grab a bite to eat after 9pm. We have noticed that many places close very early here in Atlanta so when we came across Marlow's we were happy to see they still had the kitchen open, and keep it open late into the night. After seating us the waitress asked how we were doing and we mentioned we were new to Atlanta. She went and told someone because the next thing we knew the manager was bringing us out a free appetizer to say welcome to the area. That is great service. The rest of the meal was just as great, my husband had the buffalo chicken wrap and I had a turkey Panini. Great food, great atmosphere and a great drink selection...we will be back! read more

It is so very refreshing to have wonderful, helpful service especially when accompanied by wonderful food. Thank you Andrea & every person that came to our table. I might be dating myself but "now-days" good costumer service is just a lost art. Not the case here. It's not just customer service, this is a well managed restaurant. Every person that walked in was quickly greeted by which ever staff member was closest and promptly seated. The drinks were made with care and attention & because one of the members of our party had never been to a Marlow's before, a house special appetizer was brought to the table free of charge! We eat here pretty much regularly! Food and service our delicious and consistent. Really like there different seasonal salad, veg burger, fish tacos and my hubbie is still ordering the grilled chicken wrap which is no longer on the menu but u can still order. I've eaten at Marlow's three times now. The first visit was for lunch only a week or so after it opened in Merchant's Walk, so despite the fact that the service was poor and the food worse, I gave it another chance, this time in the evening a few weeks later. This visit was no better (and in some ways, worse). Again, even though I ordered the special that evening, the steak I ordered was flavorless, bland, and overcooked. I complained and ordered another meal, this time a chicken dish. Horrible. Today my business partner wanted to take a supplier there, and despite my previous experiences, I relented, since the location and atmosphere was appropriate. THe Asian chicken salad was less than marginal, with boiled chicken hunks that were clearly boiled and over-cooked without any seasoning. The dressing on the salad was as Asian as I am (for the record, I am Irish). Our guest ordered the Jumbalaya (sp?) and admitted it was horribly overcooked and mushy. Thankfully, service had improved, pleasant but un-informed. A real disappointment overall. This was my last trip, I guarantee you. Third time is the charm. read more

I used to drive across town to the Alpharetta location and am thrilled they opened one here in East Cobb. People you must understand there are very few quality restaurants in that area because of the fickle clientele in this town. The service was great, as usual in all their restaurants and the food is always out of this world. I have been there multiple times and always see friendly faces. Please East Cobbers don't put another quality restaurant out of business with your ridiculous expectations. Here's a obvious reality... new places get busy and with high volume mistakes will be made, its how they correct them is whats important. read more

Terrible experience. One menu for five people that we all had to share. Wrong order sent to our table and I had to bus the table myself for it all to fit. They finally took that away. God knows what they did with it. After a while our entrees came along with one of the appetizers we ordered. Then only some of us could eat since we had 2 sets of silverware for 5 people. I asked the manager where the kitchen was so I could find some silverware for my wife but he would not tell me where to find it. I asked for my meal to go since I knew I had some silverware at home. On top of all that the floor below the table was covered in water from where the prior guests had spilled an entire glass. Staff just left it there. So how much did I pay for this level of service and to eat a cold hamburger at home? Full price. Never again for me. I recommend avoiding this terrible restaurant. read more

One of my favorite Marlow's around town. Came in on a Wednesday lunch. Our sever David was fast and attentive. We started off with the new avocado and tomato toast and the bread was toasted to perfection. My French dip sandwich was amazing. Everything about the rich flavors were great.
