Overall, pretty darn good. Wonderful place to go eat after the movies! Their bathroom sinks are tricky though. Have fun with that.

I went here with my boyfriend a few days ago and this was my first time at this location. I ordered the tavern salad and about half way through my meal I noticed a huge piece of plastic mixed in the lettuce. Very surprising for a restaurant like this. We informed our waitress and she immediately fixed the problem and apologized. Another (server possibly) came by our table and explained what happened. Not sure if it was the manger or not. Anyways, nice place, but they need to be more careful when expediting their food. read more

After hearing good things I decided to give it a try. The restaurant was packed on the night I went. It is extremely dark inside which usually I like it dim but it was way too dark. The noise level was also unbearable to the point that I could only talk to my companion next to me not the ones on the other side of the table because it was so loud. The food is priced to be up-scale bar type food. The buffalo chicken wrap was bloody terrible for the price of $12. I gave it another chance and got amazing service. She got the $12 lobster nachos expecting a nice size portion for that price. They brought out 8 chips that had hardly any lobster and just drowned in greasy cheese. Such a disappointment along with my fish tacos that were completely bland and tasteless. My family members have also tried eating here and have all had the same horrid experience. Meh. Hummus didn't taste like traditional hummus. Chicken stack dish was loaded with oil and butter on the bottom of the dish. Portion wasn't that big. My husband's dish arrived with small, cold French fries. Few healthy options on the menu. Service started good when nobody else was there but deteriorated as they got busier. Music was horrible! (Management, please take note that the music alone made me want to leave.) Atmosphere wasn't bad, perhaps the best part of the whole experience. Can't say I want to ever go back here. read more

Service has always been terrible, but it dropped to a new low today. I ordered a black and bleu burger with cheese crumbles, not the usual dousing of ranch dill dressing they call bleu/gorgonzola cheese, and extra ketchup. I got the burger with no cheese anywhere and no ketchup. It took 10 minutes to find someone to bring the cheese. Then I ate half of the burger and wanted to take the rest home along with my fruit. The waitress took it away and never brought it back. This place is a disaster. read more

Great food...no matter what I order, and the atmosphere is energetic but laid back and cool at the same time....a great place to hang out with friends, very attentive staff and did I mention the food?? The hubs & I do date night here often and we're never disappointed! read more

I do not complain ever because sometimes people just have bad days... well today has pushed me over the line. I came in about 2 o clock for lunch with my two boys which one is special needs and a baby. The service was horrible in the beginning. I walked in got seated right next to a full table with older ladies enjoying their wine and salads. Problem is there were a ton of tables around and you sit us right next to this table which was obvious irradiated with us being sat there. The hostess asked if i needed a highchair for my littlest one,i said yes. He also took out orders for drinks and percided to leave me with a warm iced tea with no ice!! He never brought me a highchair so i sat the for about ten minutes of total chaos. Thank god for Kelli S. to the rescue! She promtly went and got me a high chair and a tall glass of ice. My kids were being kids giggling and being goofy but the table next to us kept giving glares my way so decided to get up and move since i was bothering them. So i sat and waited until i saw the man that sat us and asked if we could move outside. I moved outside by choice he said sure and proceeded to walk outside not helping carry the high chair or our drinks. What a real work of art you have working for you. I sat outside enjoyed the 95° Temps and killed the bees that were sworming around my children. Kelli was prompt to bring my refills and make sure everything was ok. Round of applause to her but never again will i come to this restaurant and i will be sure to let everyone know how i was treated. read more

I went to lunch at Marlow's on Sunday. First, I would have to say that the waiting area does not exsist. After waiting 30 minutes for a just a drink, we finally ordered apps which took 45 minutes to arrive, same thing happened with the entrees. SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. The food once it finally arrived was delicious but it may have been due to the fact we were sitting by the kitchen straved from watching our food sit in the window. Not sure I would recommend this location until they get their act together. read more

We have been there twice. The first time was a late dinner so we didnt stay long. The second time service was slow but not enough to complain about. Our sever took our food and drink order and pretty much left us alone. It was pretty busy this day so we decided to have a few drinks and enjoy ourselves. We got so lost in our own conversation that we forgot about our food. When we did get our food the manager came up to us with apologies for the food taking so long and bought us a round of drinks. Went to Marlows for the first time a few weeks ago. We were looking for a new place to eat! I must say it was terrific. I love the asparagus fries! The selection was great for the prices and the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff was friendly. Can't wait to go again. read more

My friend and I love Marlowe's. We normally frequent a different outlet, but recently have been to the East Cobb restaurant several times. It is usually very busy, but you can still get a table without a wait most of the time. The drinks are not watery and while the food is nothing to write home about, it is solidly good. We will continue going to Marlowe's for a long time. read more

My husband and I went for the first time last night to Marlow's (East Cobb). We were seated quickly and greeted by our server, Matt. He asked if this was our first visit to Marlow's and after we told him it was our first time eating at their restaurant, he quickly welcomed us. (Later the manager came around and greeted us after finding out it was our first time there.) Our beverages, appetizers and entree arrived promptly. After we had completed our entree we discussed how much we enjoyed the food and atmosphere.. Before Matt brought the bill for our meal, he presented us with a complimentary dessert (Chocolate Chip pie - which was ALSO great!). I enjoy cooking a lot and can be a harsh critic of food at restaurants; however, I told Matt that it had been a perfect meal and perfect service. I wish to share with everyone about the New Location for Marlows in Sandy Springs. The food is fantastic, the staff is the best, and I would highly recommend Marlows for dinner, lunch and catering. You see, I have worked with Jamie in Marlows East Cobb location for several years in catering meals for my kids High School, Walton. Marlows has always gone beyond the call of duty in trying to make the P.T.A always happy in selecting to use Marlows to cater different functions... From Holiday parties to staff lunches ,etc., This past week Marlows just opened their Sandy Springs location and had a sneak peak preview of Marlows in their new location in Sandy Springs. Marlows new location is Located off of Roswell Rd., in the Prado Shoping Center. I just wish to tell everyone that we really enjoyed our meal,the food was great, served on time and hot. The waiteress was so attentive to our needs. She was very helpful and knowledgable about the menu..and gave us wonderful "smiling" service. I would highly recommend Marlows for dinner, lunch, catering needs or whatever your needs maybe. Also, Marlows was asking for patrons to support the Special Needs Olympics & instead of paying for your meal asked instead for the patrons to donate to the Special Needs Olympics. Service was good, food horrible. We ordered a grilled chicken salad and ahi tuna salad. Both had wilted greens like they were mixed with dressing 2 days ago and stored in the frig. Chicken was cold like it cooked days prior or frozen. Tuna had no taste to it and very little seasoning. Croutons were soggy from sitting in the dressing for hours. Sad when a restaurant can't make a simple chicken salad. Order a sandwich skip the salads. read more

Consistently excellent food and service. We've tried everything from the fish tacos, chicken salad sandwich, baby kale ceaser with blackened salmon, ahi tuna salad, burgers, and more. Nothing has ever disappointed and we want to order so many things off the menu every time we go (weekly!) that we have a hard time choosing. This is our little boys' favorite spot also and they beg to go and have the asparagus fries. Great beer selection also. Marlow's is on par with some of our absolute favorite spots in San Francisco and we haven't been able to say the same about many places here since moving! read more

The Bartenders can't make a drink worth a darn...The Long Island Ice Tea was too full of sweet & sour mix...And, they short pour the wine...Had to search for the Calimari amongst the bell peppers and other stuff in the Calimari plate...Ordered another drink and had to tell the Bartender what was in it...But, they are sure proud of their drinks and dishes as the bill reflected...I will never go back again... read more

My husband and I go here at least once or twice a month! Love all the food - appetizers and burgers/sandwiches! Patio is really nice and relaxing in the spring and fall. Only negative is that there is usually a wait on Friday and Saturday nights. read more

We have dined at the Johnson Ferry/Merchants Walk location many times. The food is consistent as is the service. But I've learned that you should not take the option to sit in the covered outdoor patio area on cold nights. The hostess offered us the outdoor seating and told us it was nice and warm. We checked it out. She was right. Good size gas heaters running which fended off the below 40 degree temps out side. All was good until a table sat down about 30 mins into our meal and promptly said it was too warm. The server turned off the heaters on our end even though the rest of the patrons including us had sat down there only because the heaters were running. It got cold very fast as people would open the patio door letting some very cold air in with no heaters to offset it. Needless to say we asked for the heat back on but as soon as it came on the other table asked for it to be turned off. And, shockingly to us the server again turned it off. At the point we finished quickly and headed home. We might go back to Marlow's again but we will certainly never take them up on their offer to sit on the covered patio with the heater on as is not an offer they stand by. read more

Food here is always good and frequently excellent. And until today the service has been good as well. Tonight was another story. We were seated at a table that had no set-ups. That is fine, they can bring them when we order. We ordered and our appetizer came and still not utensils and napkins, my family and I were sharing a the firecracker shrimp -- not plates, no forks no fun! At this point my water is empty (it is all I am drinking) and the server says he will be right back to fill it. 10 minutes later still no water. No much of the time I can see our server standing at the hostess station trying to make time with the hostess and not paying much attention to his tables. Now the problem I have is I am dropping $70.00 at what is basically a burger joint with some upscale entrees. There is plenty of competition. Houlihans is right across the street. They need to focus on the service to keep the clientele. Tonight was also the first time that a manager did not stop by our table, I was hoping they would . I am betting there was not one in the place. I hope this is not a sign of things to come for Marlows Tavern. read more
