Overall, a very pleasant stay. The hotel was very clean and quiet, and the staff was consistently courteous and professional, which made check-in and the overall experience smooth and welcoming. Great spot if you want to frequent University of Washington - Tacoma, Tacoma Art Museum, Museum of Glass and Children's Museum The location is not exactly in the center of downtown Tacoma, so I'd recommend having a rental car or using ride share. Ride share costs ranged from about $15 for a 4-mile trip to around $40 for a 6-mile trip, depending on time and demand, so that's something to factor into your plans. The hotel has a for-purchase shop that's surprisingly well stocked with just about anything you might need snacks, drinks, and essentials. There's also an onsite restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner, with dinner starting at 5 PM, which is convenient if you don't feel like heading out. Overall, a clean, comfortable, and reliable option with great service just plan transportation ahead of time if you want to explore downtown or surrounding areas.

Love the views! The room exceeded my expectations. 5 stars for the hotel. 3 stars for their customer service. They tried to charge us $55 dollars extra for the breakfast that was included in our platinum package.

Right off the bat I knew I would love this place from the second I walked in. Very open and spacious lobby area with a restaurant/bar right as you enter. The menu looks decent and isn't as expensive as I thought it would be for Marriott. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with room service. Let's talk about the room for a second... it has that new hotel room smell ughhhhh just perfect. The city view is so beautiful and the room is very spacious. The bed is as comfortable as the Marriott Waterfront in Baltimore Maryland and let me tell you THAT bed was a 100/10 so this one is up there for sure. The A/C works great which is always a deal breaker for me with hotels. It's located downtown so there's everything near by. Just a perfect location and a nice stay. I recommend!

Was shocked by all the bad reviews at this hotel. I travel and stay at hotels for work 2-3 times a month and this was one of the nicer Marriott that I have stayed at recently. Parking was easy to find, didn't have any issues there, parking garage is attached and finding the lobby was easy. Check in was smooth and staff was efficient and friendly. My room was beautiful and seemed pretty new. Shower had good pressure and got hot fast (which is a must). Bed was comfy and it was quiet. Hallway, lobby; every place I went to was extremely clean. I went down to the restaurant for breakfast every morning and the staff were so friendly and food was decent price and was delicious! Gym was great too! I would stay here again if I am in the area.

M Club schedule limited on Friday & Saturday

Stayed for a staycation, paid extra for the M Club room rate, definitely not at all worth the extra. Was really looking forward to the Hors d'oeuvres and honor bar, however they do not have them Friday or Saturday. Wasted $80+ booking this rate versus just a regular room. However, they did adjust our room rate to minus the $80. Disappointing bathroom, no walk-in shower just a tub shower combo. Breakfast at M Club was also disappointing. Eggs very dry and no orange juice. Fruit was really fresh so that was a plus.

Don't stay here. Took all my stuff out of my room and checked me out. Came back to hotel with my room given away and stuff in trash bags... Manager reached out for phone call, when I provided my availability - they never replied. Seriously WORST service ever. Will update review with details.

We had a nice stay over the University Puget Sound graduation weekend, but prices were higher than usual!! The pool is really nice, but be mindful that it is outdoors! I travel with a wetsuit, so I took a swim even though it was 50 degrees and raining! The hot tub is awesome. We needed to do a load of laundry this trip- bring your own quarters, $2.50 a load, plus dryer time. It took us 3 trips to score an open machine as there are only 2 washers for the whole place and they were frequently occupied. Bed was cozy. Duvet was very nice. Temperature was good. Noise wasn't a problem. We never received housekeeping over a 4-night stay, so that was a hassle but we were able to track down clean towels.

Let's start with the parking lot, which appears to have been designed exclusively for clown cars or perhaps very optimistic compact vehicles. If you're driving anything larger than a shoebox, prepare for a thrilling game of "will this fit," followed by a graceful 17-point turn. The rooms are described as comfortable, which I assume is hospitality code for "cozy if you don't inhale too deeply." Spacious is not a word I would use unless we are comparing it to a broom closet. Now, if you enjoy saunas but wish they came without consent, you're in luck. My heater was stuck at a steady 78 degrees day and night, turning my room into a tropical retreat I never asked for. To their credit, they did move me... to a room where I could enjoy the next feature. Trains. Loud, proud, earth-shaking trains. All day. All night. Not "in the distance" trains, but "is there a locomotive in my hallway" trains. If you've ever wanted to feel like you're sleeping directly on a railroad track, this is your moment. There is technically a water view, which sounds lovely until you realize the parking lot sits right below your window. So when you open the blinds, you're not just enjoying the scenery, you're starring in it. Breakfast was... ambitious. I would have gladly paid extra for something edible, or at least something that didn't feel like it lost a fight with a microwave. After working a very long night, I thought maybe, just maybe, there'd be a small gesture of goodwill like a late checkout. Instead, I was told they had 68 checkouts that day, which apparently made flexibility impossible. No apology, no acknowledgment of the sauna experience, no effort to make it right. Just a firm "time to go." All things considered, I'd rate this stay somewhere between a 1 and a 2 out of 5. I won't be returning, and consider this your friendly warning: if you stay here, bring a small car, earplugs, and a strong sense of humor.

So we did that but still had to pay more because that didn't cover the whole cost of our meal. Our room was 3 doors down from the elevator... could hear the elevator all night. Our room itself was odd - no microwave and no dresser only the table holding the tv. We asked the front desk about the microwave (again, an amenity in the Patron Club room) and someone brought one to us which we had to set on the floor. (So odd.) Location of this hotel is nice but the rooms are iffy and service at the desk was unpredictable. The restaurant service was GREAT!

I chose to give the hotel another chance, but I encountered the same problems with the condition of the room. It is very disappointing to have had the same experience twice. Areas for Improvement: The biggest opportunities for improvement are communication, room readiness, and quality control. * Guest communication: If there are known facility issues, such as plumbing problems or loss of water service, guests should be notified as soon as possible. Clear communication allows guests to make arrangements and avoid unexpected disruptions. * Room cleanliness and preparation: Rooms should be fully inspected before guests arrive to ensure they are clean and ready. This includes checking bathrooms, dishes, floors, surfaces, and all areas of the room. Guests should not have to clean upon arrival. * Quality checks and accountability: A final room inspection process would help identify issues before check-in and ensure housekeeping standards are being met. * Front desk availability and follow-up: Having staff available during checkout and responding promptly to guest concerns would greatly improve the overall experience
