We really enjoyed our dinner at Martini's! We were in town for the weekend and we searched Yelp for an upscale restaurant and came across Martini's. Their food looked fantastic and when we walked by we loved the inside of the restaurant. The restaurant is small- We waited a long time to get in, over an hour. Not sure if they take reservations but if we go back we'll certainly try to make one. But it was 100% worth the wait. The food was FANTASTIC. 2 stars only because the food was decent ... the service however, where should I start... We were in fburg to celebrate my 40th birthday with a group of friends. My husband called the week before to make a reservation- should have been a warning the first time when their mailbox was full and they never answered. When he did get through to them and ask to make a reservation for our group of 9 on my birthday night. They told him that on a Wednesday night they would not take a reservation however it would be no problem to get us in. We called that evening to let them know when we would be there around eight. They informed us that they closed at nine but if we were there by 8:15 everything would be fine. We had friends driving in that night and could not get there earlier. We arrived when we said we would. I can say that the waiter told us audibly at least 10 to 15 times during our dinner that they were about to close!!!! Mentioning that when we would ask for various things were even that the dishwashers were waiting on dishes!! Three entrées including two steaks & one lobster order weren't even put in with those orders and came at least 40 mins after all the rest of the food. With no apology. Our table bought drinks, oysters, lobster, steaks and STILL the treatment. At one point a friend with a corn allergy reminded the server when he brought her food out (as she had when she ordered) that she was allergic to corn and he grabbed the large corn on the cob on her plate with his HAND and removed it! That was the solution. No replating or anything!!! All in all it was an awful experience for overpriced food. Not even a mention of the 40th birthday or an option for desert they were rushing us out the door. This place could be good. The oysters were fresh and the food could be great. But man that service was one of the worst ever. When leaving a member of our party that has worked in the food industry asked to talked to a manager- none present of course. The girl she talked to comped her one meal and barely apologized. Kept saying they closed at 9. Just don't waste your time here. Lots better options. I would rather have had cheap German food with good service. read more

We highly recommend their dirty martini, a dozen oysters, another dirty martini, followed by your additional courses. In the meantime, celebrate a birthday with a woman turning 90, a couple who just got engaged, a ten year-old who just got it his first lawn mowing job, and a waitress who achieved her prize internship. For that reason, I wasn't able to finish it. The Seafood Tower was awesome. It was huge! Though, there's an up charge for Blue Point Oysters, $12 more than the Gulf Oysters which is what comes with the Tower. The Fresh Maine Lobster Mac n' Cheese was good. It did have a strong bacon flavor and the noodles were a bit firm. Overall, I really enjoyed it. 4 Stars. Price: They're a bit on the pricier side compared to where I've had blue oysters before. We loved Fredericksburg and looked for a very good steakhouse for our first night in town. Most restaurants here don't use the open table app so we chose to walk in at Martinis. We got two seats at the bar and of course, started with Martinis. The drinks were fantastic and the waitress was terrific! We started with crab cakes and they were decent. We're no where near the ocean but for the price we expected something better. My wife and I shared the filet and lobster, we enjoyed both completely with a side of mashed potatoes. The meal and waitstaff were amazing, great date night dinner spot. The fifth star withheld was the cost. It was a little overpriced for the meal. We're used to fine dining, and with this fine dining price, it was a bit lackluster. read more

Wonderful place! Definitely worth the wait, which was long because we had to leave and come back. Intimate setting with bar seating, couches or a single large table. The seafood is FRESH though. Surprising to find in the middle of Texas hill country, but it was very enjoyable and refreshing. The drinks were good too, and the service was wonderful. What a nice change from the normal Fredericksburg establishments. We were greeted outside while we were looking at the specials board. We decided to go in for drinks. Decided on the Blood Oath and Kentucky bourbon pecan pie. The pie was huge, not overly sweet. My wife had a Blueberry lemonade vodka drink. Best part was the staff. Service was slow, our waitress was very preoccupied and barely came over to check on us. We had to flag down other servers and bartenders to help us multiple times. We ordered the oysters, which were extremely small, tasted dirty and it was $60!!!!! We then ordered the lobster Mac n cheese which came out cold, then was microwaved in the back after we complained. This was another $34. I got the tuna steak and it was completely raw even though I asked for it seared. My boyfriends lobster roll was soggy and unseasoned, this was another $40.... I will say the drinks were good, but for $230, this place does not live up to its standard. Overall, not happy with my experience and will not be returning. Go somewhere else! The bounty was a plenty as we devoured some extremely fresh gulf coast oysters, and oysters Rockefeller for starters. The bar was full of other sea dogs and salts all enjoying the mixologists tipple. Our main feast consisted of both the lobster and spicy lobster rolls, wedge salad and a lobster plate. Everything was nicely executed and beautifully presented. The more than adequate servings of lobster in the rolls were delightfully flavorful. The galley is quaint and classy, but not stuffy. Martini's crew are inviting and friendly.
