I have travelled to Fort Worth area on several occasions for leisure and have been to Marty B's Coffee on several occasions. Coming from Washington where we have coffee everywhere, being at Marty B's Coffee is a great experience. When you pull up, there is plenty of parking and the outdoor seating is super nice and well setup if you want to get some work done or chit chat outside. While walking into the building, it's very well lit with both natural and artificial light. The decor is great and inviting for the area. Every time i went, I was great with a smile and a positive attitude. The employees always had great ideas and suggestions for meals, whether it was breakfast, lunch, drinks or desserts. Every meal that I have had to date has been delicious, full of flavor and has filled me up! The staff was always attentive in ensuring my needs were met, seeing if I needed anything more, and sometimes even stopped for a few minutes to chat. The personal feel and the fact that your not just another customer makes this a wonderful place to get ready for your day, unwind after a long day or even do some remote work for some people. I was even fortunate to have a short chat with Marty, the owner of these establishments. He wants to ensure customer service is above and behind for all his customers. I have never had "Texas Nachos", so seeing this different way of making their Brisket Nachos was unique and it was on point! I tend to drink energy drinks and their Lotus Flavored energy drinks don't taste like chemicals and taste fruity and delicious. I wrapped it up with a Brisket Panini, because you can't go to the south and not have even more BBQ!!! I'm a chai tea latte snob, and this one was horrible. (To me) if you like a spicy chai tea latte (more on tea side vs latte), this one's for you but not for me. If you want to improve it, copy cat Starbucks version. A coffee house that's open past 6pm besides Starbucks--score!!! So excited about this place. Coffee. Food. Wine. Yes. Yes. Yes. The environment is also great with a wide variety of seating: Booths. Sofas. Tables and chairs. And a fireplace when it's cold. For the most part, it's counter service; but we went on a slow night so the employees became servers. Which worked for us. Prices are pretty standard for the area. The only issue we had on our third visit wasn't Marty B's fault--it was four kids running around playing and yelling. Raw and drift woods, comfortable prints and patterns, coffees and spirits (yes, liquor); they all work together to ensure you have every reason to come and stay. Pensive and studious mornings, to thoughtful and social evenings; this spacious place will welcome you in any form. Additionally, and maybe oddly, there's a conference room at the front, so it's even possible to get the job done here as well. We tried Marty B's Coffee a few weeks ago. Only the drive thru was open at that time. I'm not sure whether the inside is open now or if they are still working through their growing pains by limiting orders to the drive thru. Service in the drive thru was ok. The person taking orders was very friendly, and the person at the window was friendly as well. I had ordered an iced nonfat chai and it took probably close to 5 minutes of waiting at the window (not in line but actually at the window) for my drink. This is not a complicated drink. The small talk was awkward while we waited. When I tried my drink after driving away, I was not pleased. There was only a slight chai taste and it was not enjoyable. I actually ended up throwing it away. If service was this slow with only the drive thru open, and with an order that didn't include any complicated concoctions or food, I worry about what the experience will be once they have customers at both the drive thru and inside. I hope these were normal issues for a new business and that they are able to improve as they learn. read more

This is a great place to get a great cup of coffee and breakfast. The first step into this place, I was blown away by the decor and ambiance. One of the best coffee shop interiors that I've ever been in. Got the Hazelnut Caramel Mocha and the Nashville Chicken Biscuit. Both of them were really flavorful and excellent. The wifi is pretty fast here and there are plenty of outlets which is great. The only small negatives were the prices of the coffee drinks and the noise level. It's ok. Coffee is overpriced but good. The crowd feels like a Lantana country club. Take that for what it's worth. Delicious brisket breakfast tacos! Also overpriced. Get the bowl. They do this thing with the green chiles that's divine. The Brisket Kolache is good too. No dogs on the patio is a downside. They put signs on the majority of tables inside that you have to have a minimum of two people to sit there. The downside for a student like me is that I come to have coffee, study, read, and write. With my computer and text, its hard to sit in the other chairs and tables. Customer service is top notch. Very nice people work there. With the size of their staff, I'm shocked they don't bring the order to the tables. read more

Well, that was a bit disappointing. But I got the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. It tasted like the frozen Jimmy Dean biscuits. The sausage was very processed and soft. The egg look like it was pre-cooked frozen square eggs. I saw in one of the pictures that it was a regular fried egg. I assumed fried eggs came on all their biscuits, but I guess you have to request it. I also saw in one of the pictures on yelp that the sausage look like the old school sausages that you have to form by hand. That is not what I received. Maybe they made some changes. Overall McDonald's breakfast biscuits taste better. And that's saying alot because I don't eat McDonald's breakfast biscuits anymore because everything is so processed. And to top things of my food was cold. I did see that most people ordered the baked goods, so maybe I will try one next time before I give up on this fast food spot. read more

Very disappointed. Very fancy atmosphere with lots of people. Been here before and hazelnut coffee flavors with the syrup didn't taste great. So, wanted a simple latte with no syrup and not strong. I asked what kind of roasted coffee options were available. She looked confused, so I explained blonde, dark, what are the options? Once the two choices of dark roast and medium blend were determined, I then asked for a latte with the medium roast coffee. She told me they only make latte as dark roast. Everything was wonderful! We were able to order our food and find a table quickly! The cinnamon roll is now my daughter's favorite cinnamon roll! It was covered in yummy icing! I love Marty B's restaurants and ice cream, however they missed the mark on coffee. For example, their drip coffee includes a medium or dark roast option. When we asked what the notes of the coffees were in order to decide, they said "the medium one is lighter than the dark roast". Yeah no kidding... Also, a small signature latte has 6 pumps of syrup. It was still way too sweet after asking for only 2 pumps. As a former barista, I've tried them now 3-4 times and I still am not a fan unfortunately. I really tried to give them a chance. read more

Sadly, it has gone downhill since its first few months. Tables are consistently dirty. The staff shrieks your name when your order is ready even when the place is empty. I'm giving this 4 stars because while the brisket taco tasted excellent (you can really taste the smoke), it was WAY to small for it being $5 and there was not enough egg. You need to make them twice as big if you are going to charge $5 a piece for them. The coffee was great but you need to add a different sweetener to the mix. You need to create a simple syrup or something. Everything you have is like Stevia, regular/raw sugar, and those won't cut it for specialty coffee drinkers. The Nasville Chicken Sandwich was also good, but it needs to be a bit hotter to be called a "Nashville Hot" chicken sandwich. BOTTOM LINE: fill your tacos more!!
