Mother's Day 2025 my car broke down on Rt 3 heading to CT . I had car towed to local gas station that works on vehicles. Truck was there two months kept getting run around . I called Marty's spoke to Service Director said he would be happy to help . Towed Truck in on Wends was given a fair quote on Thursday Truck was done Friday morning. This GMC Team is well trained and well managed I give them 5 stars . These type of dealers don't exist anymore. I was told by Quirk they don't even work on anything older than 10 years . Watch out for Roberto the finance guy. I told him i could get under 5% for 48 months and expected him to get close (like every other dealer has done in the past). He unilaterally stuck me with a 6.99 rate. On top of that, he put through 5 credit inquiries that caused my credit score to drop from 823 to 783 (40 points). After three weeks, I just wrote a check and paid it off to make sure he didn't get any commission from the loan (if applicable). A total sleeze bag. read more

We ordered a 2021 Yukon Denali from another dealership in the middle of the covid / chip shortage. After receiving the Yukon everything was wonderful for the first 18 months and 14,000 mile. Until It just died in the middle of the road in at the beginning of February 2023 and unbeknownst to us if you can't start the vehicle you can't put the vehicle in neutral to push it out of the way and the tow truck operator needed to put the vehicle on skid pads to get it on the flat bed. This is a stupid design by GM. We had the vehicle towed to Marty's Buick GMC In Kingston MA because it is only 10 minutes from where it broke down. After speaking with Marty's service department multiple time and two visits to their location after 5 WEEKS of the vehicle sitting there and no clear answer as to when they would get it into their service department other than we hope this week. I contacted ALDEN Buick GMC In Fairhaven MA and had it towed there the middle of March. It was taken into their service department within a day as they said it would be. The service department called me and told me that they have diagnosed the problem and it was the fuel sending unit but they could't get the part for three weeks which was fine as long as we knew what the problem was and when it would be fixed. Because of the delay ALDEN offered us a courtesy vehicle witch we didn't take. At no point did Marty's ever offer a loaner or courtesy vehicle. Karen and the entire team at Alden Buck GMC was wonderful through the entire process and wish I would have just had it towed it there from the start. Marty's GMC service department sucked in every way possible except in the good way. read more

Bought at 2018 GMC Yukon certified used. Back hatch stopped working in three weeks, took them another three weeks to get me an appointment, dropped it off for the day had a rental car that I paid for out of my pocket, they never looked at it. Never called nothing just sat on their lot for the day. Super frustrating!! Took it to another GM dealer in the area and they found leaking oil lines... plus the struts on the hatch were junk, now waiting for the back ordered part. Two months of not being able to use the automatic hatch and no cares given by this dealership. My advice is if you buy a car here have it looked at my another mechanic because I don't think their shop has a clue what they are doing. read more

I should have looked here for the feedback before trying to buy a car from this place. Dealer is not willing to sell at the price advertised through GM.com on shop.click.buy program. I found exactly what I wanted for 66xx$ under MSRP, completed online purchasing stage, scheduled a delivery date, applied for external financing, called dealer to confirm delivery details (sales guy Paul was not happy at all that I have pre-determined price and external financing). And then I receive a call from the same sales guy claiming that this is a mistaken advertising (yet there are more than 10 trucks available through dealers website with similar level of savings) and they could not sell it. GM is not willing to do anything about this, dealer does not cares about holding their own word. Do not buy online from them. read more

My mother took her car in for an oil change and it cost $1000.00. Her car only has $15,000 miles but after they inspected it she was told engine maintenance needed to be done. The work was done and it cost her $500. The next day her engine light came on. When she took the car back she was told there was a sensor issue in the motor but it had nothing to do with the work they did. The additional work cost $500. My check engine light was on so I immediately made an appointment here. I was told it was an easy fix, however afterwards my engine light kept going on and off. I reached out to make another appointment but they said they couldn't get me in for a few weeks. I decided to go to a different dealership and was told Marty's Buick put a clamp on incorrectly and didn't seal a cap. Although it was nothing major, I find it frustrating that Marty's didn't do a good job to begin with and didn't make it a priority to fix something they clearly missed. read more

Purchased a car from this dealership they won't negotiate firm on pricing. I tried to get new tires they said no they were ok. I had them do the inspection sticker 5 days later got sticker. 2 weeks later my mechanic said tires never should have passes inspection minimum tread depth. Went back they still said no. Now 2500 miles later I need all new brakes. So this dealership does not obviously prep cars does minimum work needed to sell you the car. Now I have just spent $ 1300.00 on new tires and full brakes less than 3 months later Car had 40K miles. So I will never go back their and will not recommend them to anybody. So beware they don't go over the used cars and guarantee their work or in my case did nothing but minimum work. As a comparison I bought a vehicle at Bourne Auto in Easton recently and now I am over 12K and 10 months and still no brake work needed and they installed 4 new tires without me asking. Wish I went back to them but they did not have what I wanted. Won't make that mistake again read more

I recently went back to Marty's to purchase a new vehicle. My current vehicle is from there so I felt I would go back as a return customer. Mistake. The only bright spot was the salesman I dealt with Joel . He was attentive and tried to find me the right car. We found something and he brought it to the finance department to see what they could do for me. They had no good deals for me less than 500 per month on a used car. I walked out but I have since tried to email them finding out if there's any other vehicles and no answer. BEWARE STAY AWAY FROM THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT !!!!! I've had multiple safety issues with my 55k Denali truck putting me off the road because of an electrical problem... this dealer ship went against GM protocol and changed multiple parts on my truck before GM could inspect my vehicle, I was driving down the high way approximately 12 months ago after picking my truck up from getting a new starter under warranty when my steering and all electrical components failed, I immediately called Marty's GMC from the side of the highway and told them about this issue and that the vehicle was unsafe to drive, I got the truck back to the shop and they diagnosed the problem as a electrical connector issue. I then picked up the truck and recently I was driving down the highway on my way home from work again when my truck suddenly lost all steering an electric's once again same problem and this time my vehicle went off the road and caused a lot of damage to my truck. I had the vehicle towed to Marty's and I explained the safety issue that I was very concerned I did not want to drive this truck, they told me I would have to contact GM regarding the damage and the issues. So I contacted GM and inform them of the safety issue they said they would inspect the truck and that no work should be done on the truck . Marty's however changed multiple wires on the truck ( Against protocol when there is a steering safety issue) before GM could inspect the problem. GM then informed me they could do nothing for me as Matty's we're not supposed to touch or replace any parts on the truck, now I have an unsafe damaged truck that I do not want to drive and put my family and others on the road at risk. I then went and informed Marty's I would like all service records as I would be pursuing this in the courts, Marty's then changed what they originally told me was the problem ( 2 Wiring loams that they changed) and they are now claiming because I had a none GM battery put in the truck that this caused the problem but yet I had the same problem 12 months ago when the original GM battery was in the truck !!!!! So what they are trying to say if your battery fails in your new trucks that your steering and all electrics will fail witch is nonsense !!!!! Moral of the story is that they should not have touched my truck so GM could figure out exactly what is going instead they made up false diagnoses that the battery was the problem yet they changed MULTIPLE WIRES ! now I am left with a damaged truck that I refuse to drive due to safety. We had brought a gmc Arcadia for Ac problem and paid for new compressor. Ac didn't seem cool, so made an appointment to have it checked again. Receptionist was abusive from the start. We tried to have a normal conversation but she was really looking for a fight. I don't get it, we honestly just wanted someone to service our suv. We have bought 3 vehicles costing an average of 50k each from them, we still have 2 of them. This is how they treat loyal customers? By the way, we had a different dealer look at our Ac, they said we have leaking Ac lines- they seriously doubt we even needed the 2k dollar compressor that Marty's put in. read more

"Yes Monday but you need a appointment" "your the dealership I need this fixed it's a warranty issue can we set up appointment?" Drive two vehicles over an hour to drop off night before. Call me the next morning, lied saying no appointment was to look at it. Why would I drive two hours round trip to have it looked at? When it was already scanned and I told you the code and part that they said the would have in Monday. Why would i ask how long the work took and if I should drop off? And you told me how long but in way like I was being prepped to be ripped off. "Well if that's what it is and not any body can work on a diesel" If you wanna waste time and accomplish nothing go to Marty's. Or go there and learn for yourself. This is by far the worst dealership I have ever had to deal with. Here's the short version My wife's car goes into Marty's for a noise coming from the brakes. They can't find problem. They never looked @ rear brakes which were worn. Her 3017 Yukon was back and forth there for three weeks. Wait story gets better!!! Picks up her Yukon and she heads to N.H. to meet up with me and kids for Father's Day weekend. They never made it out of the tunnel in Boston blue smoke coming out of tail pipe and engine is losing power. Guess what? They overfilled the crankcase by 5 quarts! Best part I never asked for oil change. Had to get towed back to dealer again. They blame it on a bad injector. Not! Had my 13 year old daughter take pictures of dip stick on side of road. Oil was half way up dip stick. Seven hours later they make it to N.H. in rental car. My wife sends them a three page certified letter outlining the events and demanding our money returned. They never had the decency to call or write to apologize. Unbelievable!!!! This is why we have Lawyers Now send all the documents to GMC read more

I had gone to Marty's because my car had a recall issue involving the power steering. I brought the recall letter to Marty's and asked if they could fix the issue. They said yes. For the next 4 days all I got was delays, excuses, evasion, and wildly differing information each time I called. They also were not good at calling back when they said they would and then they "lost" my recall letter. After involving GM customer care, I decided to go to another dealer who told me that the "excuse" Marty's had given me was not true. He had the car fixed in 2 hours, no problem. I found Marty's service personnel (particularly Sasha, the service writer) to be smug and condescending. She gave me misinformation so many times that I can only believe she was making it up as we spoke. The service manager, Dan, was not much better. I would certainly never go to Marty's again and the experience was so frustrating that I doubt I will ever purchase another GM vehicle again. My advice: if you need your GM vehicle serviced by a dealer (especially for recall or warranty issues) don't go to Marty's! They are no help. read more

The absolute worst dealership and customer service hands down. Bought a truck from Marty's and within the lemon law 30 days I brought the truck in twice with concerns of transmission problems. They told me it was nothing. Come to find out 6 months later after dealing with this and taking to another dealership the transmission needed to be replaced.. they basically told me to kick rocks and tried to make me pay for repairs even though I knew there was something wrong. After months of fighting with them they finally covered the charge they should of fixed in the first place.. Not to mention my girlfriend bought a jeep from there and got a warranty that covers absolutely nothing they hang up the phone before you can even talk to them at this point. We had an appointment for her car a week in advance and the night before at 430 they called and said sorry we don't do Jeep's even though they sold us the car and the jeep and told us to go elsewhere.. would never buy a vehicle from this dealership again the complete opposite of professionalism, I would rather ride a bike then buy another vehicle from this dealership. read more

What kind of company makes an appointment for an oil change and a sticker on a motorhome that they have been servicing for the past three years. When we got there we were told they don't have room for us. We made the appointment two weeks prior so everything would be done for our trip. They knew it was our motorhome because when we made the appointment we were told they no longer service motorhomes but they would take us one more time. Now we have to find a place on our trip for an oil change. Just a waste of another day. read more

I am currently in the process of buying a brand new vehicle. While meeting with one of the representatives and after speaking with them on the phone they gave me a very unwelcome sort of feeling which I found very strange as I was showing much interest in buying a new vehicle. After going through this process I am now very displeased as there has been zero communication and I just found out my vehicle is available today because I had to call and ask again. As I am planning to go pick up this vehicle I am told now that they can only do it if I am there before noon time not giving me enough time to get there. Because of the lack of communication on their part I will now not receive my vehicle until Monday. Along with that the representative I'm speaking with tells me he's on vacation starting Tuesday and that I better make sure I show up Monday. I'll together their service was quite unfortunate in my opinion I am too in the service industry and know what it takes in order to satisfy a customer this was by far subpar and unprofessional to say the least. This process is not over yet, so there's still hope they'll make a bad experience better. Fingers crossed. read more

Please do yourself a favor don't purchase a used truck or van from the commercial department. I purchased a 2014 van. The salesman said that he goes through all of his used vehicles which is clearly a lie and he probably doesn't know what he is looking at anyway ( not a mechanic). I felt the corner of the floor wet and it prompted me to pull up plastic flooring and fire proof rug underneath which was completely soaked destroying the entire from cabin with severe rust. End of story I had to fix by removing rust and stripping floors. Had to do floors over with por15 which is quite a process and expensive I also told him that it sounded like the timing chain was going he said no that's how fords sound sure enough had to replace to timing chain as well as shocks Thousands later still have leak when I ask him to fix it he said he would have to keep it it's my only vehicle he didn't offer loaner and when I said I would leave bad review he shrugged his shoulders and said ok and walked away. Took my GMC Denali in to have the starter fixed. Cost $1200 which is high, but at least it works now. However, when I picked up the car, neither the clock nor the backup camera worked; both had been working fine prior to the starter repair. Took the car back in - they said they fixed both issues. Picked up the car, and the backup camera STILL wasn't working. Showed it to the maintenance sales person and the tech - they said it wasn't their problem (and the tech copped a bit of an attitude). The tech obviously disturbed the signal cables during the original repair, but refuses to acknowledge he did anything wrong. Be very cautious with these folks - I will certainly not be going back. Plenty of other places to get maintenance done that deal honestly with customers. read more

WARNING NOTICE Attempted Felony theft by Marty's GMC dealership in Kingston. Failed attempt...... My 2014 GMC Sierra, (that I bought from Marty's GMC) inexplicably lost power, I had it towed to Marty's on the same day, Saturday Jan 27th. They were able to get to it on Tuesday Jan 30th. At 1:00 PM Tuesday I was called at home by the Service Department, this person explained that they had located the issue under the Sill plate of my drivers side door. He explained that moisture had corroded the wiring and that they would need to replace a section of that wiring. He explained that their policy was to ask for the customer's permission prior to doing any work. I asked if it was hard to get to? He said that they remove the outer cover and under that was another cover they would unscrew to expose the wiring. I asked how much, he said between $500 and $600 hundred dollars with parts and 5 hours labor. (I thought 5 hours labor sounded odd/excessive after I hung up), but I gave permission to do the work. This transpired at 1:00 PM remember. At 2:30 PM only 1 1/2 hours later, I went to pick up some things from Lowes in my sons truck, as I went by Marty's I see my truck out in their lot. [So I stop and take a picture of it on my phone.] Now I am curious. I go to Lowes and buy my items, on the way back past Marty's at 3:00 PM I still see my truck in their lot...... [I take another picture on my phone.] At 3:04 Marty's calls me, the Service Department tells me the truck is all apart and they are working on it in the bay and that should be able to come get it between 4:30 and 5 PM....I had just looked at it outside in their lot 4 minutes ago.....I say "so its in the bay and they are working on it?" to make him repeat the statement, he said, 'yes'. I go pick up my wife and go straight back to Marty's, we observe my truck is STILL sitting outside in the same spot in the lot at 3:23 PM.... We go inside and we ask to see the General Manager in his office. I outline this story to him and tell him that Marty's has now lost all credibility with me. That the problem that had been outlined to me on the phone was probably not even the real issue at all. The truck was out in the lot, and they wanted to charge me for 5 hours labor for time that they obviously did not spend, that is Felony THEFT! (Theft of $250 or more is a felony). The General Manager went to talk to the shop and service department. When he came back he claimed it was a communications problem, the head of the shop had the mechanic fix the problem without telling the service department..... I said that I know your policy is to call a customer BEFORE any work is done, so the shop manager violated that policy?? And I pointed out that it did not explain why the Service Department called me at 3:04 and told me the truck was apart and would be ready by 5 PM? As if he was actually looking at it in the bay himself? The General Manager said that he would "eat the bill" and that there would be No Charge, he put N/C on the bill. The Bill states a $550 labor charge, the Part was only $4.00?, a Misc. charge of $27.50?, (must have been for their lunch), tax of $1.97? and total of $583.47.........It costs $550.00 to put in a $4.00 part?? What cost only $4.00 on a truck??? He said that I had a right to be angry, I said that I know I do. The General Manager said that this was an "isolated incident", I said the only thing 'isolated' about it was that I came by and caught the fraud, something that I suppose never happens, that is why it was 'isolated'!! I would have been the one to 'eat the bill' if I had not been off from work that day I told him.... This is a heads up to anyone that has or will have dealings with Marty's GMC in Kingston. I can never trust them again, and will never go back there. This is how they treat a customer who has bought two trucks from them? Beware. Honesty and integrity are things that SHOULD happen when no one is looking. I find a car model I wanted online and it checked out autocheck all good and easy so far and then I walk into Marty's with some excitement and energy and then crash-bang-wallup I leave deflated and very disappointed. We were met with a polite salesman who led us to the car which when examined was dirty both outside and inside. The salesman said it had been used by the sales manager for the last few days but it could have been used by a pig as it was awful - coffee cups and garbage everywhere. Totally uncleaned not fit for presentation for car which is being sold and advertised for over $26K. I should have walked right there but I wanted to see what price I could get even in the crappy condition and that's when they switched to sleazy marketing tactics which when summed was that they already sold the car wholesale at $100 less than sticker to another dealer who is going to pick it up in 2 days. But if I buy it now for sticker I can take it -- really!!! This place felt sad and at the very least crooked and definitely not recommended as a car dealership of trust. Our 2004 Yukon with 229,000+ miles was headed back to upstate NY with our college son and needed an inspection, the problem was it also needed a 3rd brake light strip. You guys had the part, squeezed us in, and the car is headed up to NY, inspected, less than 24 hours later! Happy customers all around. Marty's attempted the classic dealership "bait and switch" tactic. Between myself and family we've bought multiple vehicles here, and they still attempted to pull one over on me. After writing an email to salesman/GM specifically telling them what I currently owe on my truck and where I want my payments to be on new truck they told me they could make it work. One of the reasons being that they could "give me more for my trade" and make the numbers work. I said ok, and specifically emailed them saying I have to drive 2 hours down and back and didn't want to waste either of our time. "sounds like we have a deal" the GM writes back to me. So I drive down on a Friday only to find out the truck I went down there for was sold and the numbers where off 7-8k from where they said they'd be on a similar truck, and also gave me a low-end trade in value for my current truck because of a scratch on the aluminum wheel and normal wear on leather seat. Typical I guess for them after reading all the other poor reviews. Pretty bad after the business we've been giving them for last 8-9 years or so. read more
