Just had a very delicious evening meal at Marvino's. Nice atmosphere, not too loud, we could actually hear each other talking in our normal voices. The server was efficient and friendly. Hubby had the Shrimp and Crab over Risotto (he said 3.5), I had the Chicken Parmesan and besides being huge it was really yummy (I give it 4.5). Our boys had the kids pizza and the chicken fingers. Pizza was good, chicken strips were decent and the fries were really tasty. I thought the prices were not too bad, I didn't think they were any higher than other casual Italian restaurants. I was a little worried about what the bread was going to be like based on some other comments. The bread we got was I believe a sourdough that was served warm with olive oil for dipping. Not sure what all was in the bottom of the oil bowl (basil, black pepper, maybe some red pepper flakes?) but it was really good as was the bread. My one disappointment was that unlike most other Italian Restaurants, they did not offer fresh grated Parmesan for the entrees. I missed having that, as did the rest of my family. Also my side salad was just okay. The dressing was decent, but I had quite a bit of lettuce core that was inedible. Overall we all enjoyed our meal and we will return. read more

Been here two times. Nice menu with a large variety of food. A bit pricey for ravioli, but like that cypress finally has an Italian restaurant! Young waiters, mostly seem to be in training. This is our first time here and we are very impressed. The staff are all very professional and polite, excellent service, very attentive and the food is delicious. My husband had the Italian Wedding soup and the seafood ravioli. I had the house salad and the Chicken Nona. The only issue was the Chicken Nona came topped heavily with mushrooms and it didn't say that on the menu. I just scraped them off and ate the chicken and risotto. Chocolate cake for dessert. Tonight was our first time eating here. No wait to get in (8pm on a Saturday), great service, delicious food! The oil with fresh herbs that they bring with the bread is amazing. Ate here last night for the first time after a full day of shopping! We were starving and were very happy with our choices. Had spinach artichoke dip as appetizer and chicken parm with fettuccini Alfredo instead of spaghetti. I did add some pepper to my food to give it a little more flavor but other than that enjoyed every bite. Also ordered bread pudding for dessert which was also very tasty. I agree with other reviews about the customer service being excellent. We had Erick as our server and he was so fun and very attentive. The restaurant is well decorated and very open (which can lead to a little more noise) but wasn't a huge problem. We definitely enjoyed our experience and I think we will be back! read more

Fish was overlooked PLUS they charged me for more expensive dish I did not order. 3rd visit - Chicken Marvino...dish was ok 4th visit - soup was not not warm, it was COLD. Waiter couldn't seem to understand what I meant by cold soup when I complained. Chicken Marvino - chicken was SO over cooked I had trouble cutting it with a knife. Mini-shrimps over cooked. A beautiful building, with a lot of seating options, a bar, and you can watch the pizzas be made. The bathrooms are always clean. The food isn't worth the price. The problem I have run into is that the waiters don't know their menu, and they are unable to tell us what is gluten free and what meals contain gluten. My favorite is when the waiter doesn't know what gluten is, so they make up an answer. On the bright side they have complimentary bread and dipping sauce. read more

My husband and I had the worst food experience from Marvino's. The Lasagna looked old and smelled rotten, we both took 1 bite! My husbands penne with beef was like eating oil and penne, had beef but zero flavor! We ended up throwing both dishes in the trash. My husband even called and spoke to a manager (Remi) that thanked him for letting him know and said he would call us back to let us know what he would do for us. We still haven't heard from him and that was December 27, 2018. I must add, the stuffed mushroom appetizer was a joke...2 tiny mushrooms for $10 are you kidding me? Don't waste your time or money going here! We turned around and ordered from Napoli and it was 1000x better and we could actually eat it without getting sick! Ugh!!!! Went for dinner last night. Worst service ever. Our waiter who took the order seemed like he didn't want to wait on us. Had a drink and when he came back never asked if we wanted another. Took the glasses and walked away. Had to ask another server to check on our salads. This server also delivered our food. Was overcharged for 2 drinks not one. Again had to get help from this other server. Never again saw our waiter and tipped in cash to the 2nd server. We eat here a lot but going to stay away. I was nervous to try this place after reading all the reviews! However, I must say I was impressed! Wonderful staff that was attendant but not overly annoying! The food was delicious and I definitely have leftovers! I had the Veal Parmesan and Spinach Artichoke Dip as an app. So good! It was definitely a little classier than an Olive Garden but I did not feel under dressed in jeans and a sweater. I will definitely be returning! I've dined at Marvino's on a few occasions and it's adequate for an outside the loop restaurant. Never thought to write a review and yet I'm compelled to share an experience my 16 year old had this evening. My son and 3 friends made a 6:00 reservation for a pre homecoming dinner. Once seated they were told that they would only be allowed to order off of the fixed menu (with a few selections). Now it's understandable on homecoming evening that large parties would need to order a fixed menu, because it puts a strain on the kitchen, but a party of 4? They asked for regular menus and were told no. The 4 top of adults at the next table received regular menus. You made 4 teenagers feel less than special on what was supposed to be a memorable evening. Management should have told them when the reservation was made that a special menu would be their only option. They were nice enough to replace my sons, girlfriends salad after she found a hair about halfway through. Frustrating for me and everyone involved. Take your chances if you like, for us it's going to be a hard pass from here on out. read more

One star is far too high. Our server, who was courteous and expedient, was the best thing about Marvino's. My parents and I have birthdays a week apart, so we combined to celebrate together at Marvino's. I ordered oysters, a Caesar salad, and a filet. My mother had veal piccata, and my father had the crabcakes. The oysters were fine, the salad a bit strange with the fried cheese bits in there, but the filet was tough, dried out, and unevenly cooked; the meat was clearly of poor quality and had been stored long enough to lose moisture. My father's crabcakes, a $30, were mostly bread. My mother did not fair well with her veal either. Between the chain-restaurant quality food and the kitsch look of the place I'd recommend looking elsewhere for Italian food until this place retools their menu or implements some quality control. It would have been a worthwhile meal if three could eat at $60, but not for the $150 we spent on food, drinks, and a tip for the good waiter. read more

Marvino's has always been our go to place because of service and quality of food. Just went a few days ago and was surprised to see another menu change with still so little Italian dishes. Still confused on how many steaks you have when you already have a steak restaurant. The prices have gone up some, which we were fine with because the quality has always been great. First problem I had is now you are charging for a salad or a soup when that always been included with the main entree. I had the lasagna (my favorite). It was such a small piece. Very dry. I know when you first opened you said people were complaining about too much sauce. Now everything is dry and we always ask for more. I don't have a problem raising your prices but still give the same size portion as you have in the past. Most of your entrees could easily be split if you were not that hungry. Not any more. Was very disappointed to see this happening to one of our favorite places. Please don't loose your regulars because you want to charge more and give little quality and quantity back. My wife and I have passed this place on numerous occasions, and even eaten at the Cheddar's and Saltgrass that share the parking lot. Decided we would try them today, and we were not disappointed!! From the entrance, the ambiance set the mood for the great dining experience! Our server Arianna was super attentive and personable!! The bread that starts the meal was really soft and delicious, and the oil based dip was a great compliment to it! We had an appetizer of Italian sausage in peppers, and the sauce that they were in was crazy good!! I ordered the house Chicken Marvino, and the sauce that the chicken and shrimp were marinated in was heaven!! My wife had the Snapper Milenese and it was fresh and marinated in another awesome sauce!! To close us out I used my free dessert from Yelp and that cheesecake.....OMG!!! This was a very disappointing Italian dinner. Four of us finally going out as a family and had terrible service and food. Spaghetti and Meatball wasn't as good as a can of spaghetti O's. $22 for a plate of over done thin spaghetti with old meatballs. Chicken Parm was at our table 15 minutes after the other three meals were served and then was not very good. We were told we could build our own pasta by our waiter. My sister order pasta primavera with only veggies, it was $18 and too salty. And only broccoli and carrots in it. There are many better choices in the area, so no need to stop by here. read more

Long wait time and noticed that there was an entire back section of tables not being used ( perhaps they were short handed and couldn't open that section). Server was not friendly and acted as if she did not want to be there. Food was mediocre. Not worth the prices My wife ordered the "half" portion of the ravioli and the bowl had only 5 raviolis in it!!! 5?!?!! Honestly, our experience was absolutely terrible. It was my aunts 60th birthday to begin with, and she wanted Marvino's to try their calamari. They got her entree wrong THREE times, my drink order was butchered, they didn't do anything for her birthday, and they didn't communicate when they were out of risotto so they just decided to put wild rice on the plate, hoping we wouldn't notice. The worst part- they did nothing about it. We even had both managers come to our table and they just looked at us and apologized then walked away. Seriously? We paid more than $30 a person and we get that crappy of service? I created a Yelp just to post this review if that says something. I was a waitress myself and I've never received such terrible service from what is supposed to be a very nice place. We will not be recommending Marvino's to anyone we know. It was insanely disappointing so don't waste your money- I would recommend Carrabbas for great Italian food. The staff are great and it's an all around better experience. I have been searching for the longest time for a good Italian restaurant and eureka, I have found it!!! I knew this was going to be good from the moment I walked in the doors... the service has been very good! Jacob, our server, was very good and wasted no time in delivering great service! Oh and I forgot about the food. The complimentary bread and oil was so good. The Italian margarita was good and strong the way I like it. I ordered the fried calamari.... so good! My experience here was nothing short of awful. When my party arrived, it took about 15-20 minutes for our orders to be taken. After we ordered, half of my parties food came out in about 30 minutes, while one person, who ordered a simple pizza, did not get their food until almost an hour later! While we were eating, not once did our waiter refill our drinks or ask us if we needed anything. Once we all finished our food and asked for the bill, they told us we could not split the bill. Mind you, we are a group of teenagers so how did they expect a teen to foot the entire $300 bill? I would not have been so mad about this if they had told us before we ordered that we could not split the bill because we could have left and found a different restaurant if we knew that were the case. In addition to this, there was an automatic 20% gratuity included in our total, which they most definitely did not deserve. Will not be coming here again. read more

My wife and I wanted to have some lasagna, salad and desert to spilt for I am trying to watch my wait. The waitress did not think this was funny and sort of gave us a snotty look. We were informed that there would be a $3.00 charge to split the lasagna, so we okayed this ridiculous charge (a lot of work to split onto two plates) and would like to have the wedge salad. We also ordered sweet tea with lemon and asked for some bread. When the wedge salad was served it looked more like 1/8 wedge instead of the 1/4 wedge (iceberg lettuce is cheap), thought it would be fun to share. Salad did taste good and like the blue cheese crumbs. The lasagna was served next on tow giant plates that were about 14" in diameter and a small 2" x 3" piece of lasagna on each plate. We looked at each other and said "Looked like something was lost for all the ceramic". Had the lasagna before and not even close to what we had in the past. The ricotta cheese tasted like it was possible old or frozen and the lasagna was maybe four layers not the eight layer we had in the past. Guess having to cut back on quantity for more profit and when the busboy refilled our tea he gave us unsweet tea. We informed the busboy that he gave us the wrong tea after we explained this to him three times, he took the tea away and the waitress gave us that good snotty look she has mastered, he did finally return with the correct tea. The highlight was desert for we ordered the carrot and not sure if we will be going back not the same as when they first opened. Even though not totally pleased we still left a tip. Stopped going to Marvino's after a disastrous Tuesday pizza night when the pizza was raw in the center. That has been about a year ago and will not be returning. Better restaurants opening and prices that are more reasonably. read more
