Avoid this company for any move-in/move-out cleans. My husband and I booked a full move-in deep clean for our new home. The service was scheduled for today at 9am. Last night, Mary asked to move it up to 7am. We agreed, and my husband was there at 6:50am to let the team in. They didn't show until almost 7:30, with no heads up that they were running late. Around 9:30am, one of the two cleaners texted my husband saying she had an emergency and would come back in a few hours. We were understanding, of course. By 2:30, no one had returned. My husband called Mary (who didn't even know about the emergency), and the cleaner then texted him asking him NOT to tell Mary. When he asked Mary for a discount since we were now way behind schedule, she said she couldn't because it would come out of her own pay. We have movers scheduled for the following morning, so we needed this service completed by tonight. At 3:40, I called Mary myself for a completion estimate and had the most unprofessional customer service interaction I've ever experienced. No apology, no accountability- just blame-shifting and complaints about her own employee. At one point she asked ME to call her workers for her since they weren't responding to her. I said that wasn't my responsibility. She got defensive and aggressive, then demanded to speak to my husband instead. We tried to cancel outright. She refused, claiming the team had done "80% of the work", which was false. It seems like all they'd done was pour cleaner into the toilets. Nothing else was touched. By 4:30pm, the team still hadn't returned. Only when my husband called back to say we were cancelling regardless did she finally agree- and framed it like she was doing us a favor by not charging us. We ended up cleaning the townhome ourselves tonight with the help of my sister, but this ordeal threw off our entire timeline. I don't blame the individual cleaner- emergencies happen. But Mary's complete lack of accountability and professionalism in handling it says everything. Hard pass. ***Response to Owner's Reply*** Mary, while I appreciate your apology, I don't find it genuine. You only attempted to call me to apologize yesterday after my husband called you out on your rude and hostile behavior towards me. You didn't offer any solutions during our conversations. And even admitted to us that you wanted to fire your employee despite knowing her for 10 years. The only thing you offered was a discount towards a future cleaning service, and this was AFTER you agreed to cancel once your team confirmed that they didn't even complete 10% of the job. I hope you learn from this experience and treat your customers and employees with more respect in the future. read more

False advertising.... I looked this business up on Yelp and connected with them over text/email. They show that our area is in their area for cleaning. I provided detailed information and even had a quote. I then inquired about the cost for monthly cleaning. At this time I had a response apologizing that our area is NOT in the area the service? I would say this is false advertising if they show a circle of the area they service and it's right in the middle then turn around and say it's not? But it's their loss. We had a different company come to the home we moved out of and they were awesome and they do not service the area we moved to but we had such a great connection and will use them twice a month at a great deal. I've been very happy with Mary and her team. I've used a lot of cleaning services over the years and most are very average, and some are even terrible, but Mary's the real deal! I even attached some pictures to show how everything sparkles when they're done. Everything smells very clean too. My cleaning ladies are named Edica and Lizbet and they work very hard and deserve a shout out as well! I waited until after a handful of cleanings before posting this review because I've experienced in the past where the first cleaning is great and then sort of falls off afterwards. But I'm pleased to say that that is not the case here. As an added bonus, I should mention that Mary is very responsive and super friendly! They're also very reasonably priced. Firstly, the cleaning team is great! I have no issues with them. My issue is with the owner. She is unprofessional and does not communicate clearly. I called to ask when the ladies would be arriving since this wasn't clear and I could tell she was irritated I'd called. She started explaining about how they need to drop off the kids at school and that's why they can be a bit later. I said but it's Saturday and she starts yelling at me! I hung up on her. This makes me wonder if she'll do this to a client how she treats her staff. The only reason I haven't canceled the service is because of the cleaning ladies. Otherwise I'd be gone. Proceed with caution. This is not the way to conduct business. Very unprofessional. Then she contacted me after she canceled my appointments with a message a 5-year old would send. Mary and a Mop was an absolute lifesaver for us! We were dealing unimaginable filth, grit and dust from demolition and construction work that occurred in our home for many, many months.
