I needed some deep cleaning in room that was used for storage, and a bathroom that a previous deep cleaning company didn't deep clean very well. I was able to schedule Mary & a Mop within two days of my phone call. Mary's crew came on time, took note of everything I wanted done, and went to work. I wasn't there while they were cleaning, I had to go to work. My son let me know when they were finished. He thought they had done a really good job. I inspected the bedroom and bathroom when I got home. The bathroom was glowing! The dingy walls were now clean. The bedroom looked amazing compared to how it looked before. She communicated very clearly understood what I was looking for and made sure that it was delivered!!! Missing Cash I hired Mary & A Mop to clean my home before a baby shower. The cleaning was last minute and Mary was able to send someone same day, this was my first time using Mary & A Mop. The cleaning itself was of high quality. However, my issues began when I noticed $2400 missing from my sock drawer. I noticed this money was missing while the cleaners were still in my room. They watched me rifle through my sock drawer and said nothing and made no eye contact. It is my fault for leaving cash in a sock drawer. I did not initially talk to the cleaners about the missing cash because I was in shock, and really wanted to make sure my wife didn't move the money. Unfortunately, I was not able to find the cash. The cleaners denied taking the cash when I asked them. I brought this issue to Mary's attention. She told me these cleaners went to Church and that they would never take anything. She told me they had been working with her for years. Mary told me she was going to speak with her attorney regarding what to do with this matter. A few days later Mary told me that she had since fired the cleaners. However she told me there is nothing she can do to help me because I don't have video evidence. She told me she would not even refund the cleaning, which was $350. She told me if I wrote any false information on public forums she would need to seek court intervention. Well Mary. Nothing I said here is a lie. I don't have video evidence, however, I think most customers would think that's a pretty ridiculous bar to meet. Here are some open questions I would hope future Prospectice customers would ask themselves before hiring your service. If you were so sure about the character of these cleaners, why did you fire them? You really couldn't offer me any compensation? Not even a refund? Is this someone I want to do business with and allow in my home? Do I need to get cameras covering every square inch of my home, just in case of an incident? The truth is, I do not have smoking gun evidence my cash was taken. It was my fault for leaving cash accessible. I am a first time customer with no rapport or relationship with Mary's company. However I am left feeling violated when cash is missing, and I am told by a business owner that I need video evidence and told her attorney would be reviewing my Yelp review. I do not recommend Mary & A Mop. read more

I booked a cleaning for today but no-one showed up. I called and left a message. I received a call back from Mary who stated she owned the company stating she doesn't know why the system allows people like me to book when she is full. She said the best she can do is next week. When I stated I had waited for 2 hours today with no contact she responded with "thats why you should call and not book online". No apology for my time wasted. No apology for her system not working. Just that I should have called instead of using the online system. I don't mind mistakes and mishaps. However, I do mind lack of apologies and poor customer service. Especially when the first tab of the website says book online! And the bottom of the page says "Fast email responses and friendly customer service". Update to Mary's response to initial complaint: Mary, I did not "abruptly interrupt" you. I responded to your statement that the best you could do was next week. There was no interruption as you had stopped talking. And I did have 2 hours of my time wasted. I was not contacted about you not being able to accommodate my request until after I called you to find out why no-one showed up. You also made no effort to explain anything further to me - you were the one that hung up on me. Additionally, when I booked yesterday morning, there was several slots available for today to pick from. Clearly your online booking system does not work how you want it to.
